  1. Screw it. I'm done with this game. All the lightsabers and Star Warsiness in the world can't make up for fundamentally flawed game mechanics. They say they fix it and it's not fixed. They are very dishonest with their customers. Most of these patches don't even fix the things they claim to fix. I can't play the class I want to play, the JK, so why should I bother playing at all? I never played SWG because I wanted to play a Jedi without some complicated "I'm a unique snowflake" process to play one. Here was my chance to play a Jedi from the start. Too bad the game runs like a punchcard computer from 1910. I actually resubbed after they told us they fixed these animation problems. Oh what a fool I was. But no more.
  2. Which mission crew skill gives the most companion gifts? Are they all equal or does one focus on them more than another? Also, do they each reward specific gift types or are they random? I'm at the point where I'm trying to get all my companion's affections up and would like to make the process the most efficient as possible.
  3. Seeing as it has to do with the legacy system I would assume that the races unlocked will be ones you have levelled to a certain point within your legacy. Basically so you can make all members of your legacy from the same family which is what a legacy is supposed to be. It will probably be something along the lines of whatever race you have unlocked a level 50 as within your legacy on a certain server will allow you to roll that race as the other faction to keep them all related. There probably won't even be new class combinations within the same faction. "You rolled a Chiss IA? OK, we will let you make a Chiss Trooper." "Mirialan Smuggler? Now you can make a Mirialan BH." Something like that.
  4. First of all if you don't uncover these two maps fully but explore the rest of Hoth the world map will still fully uncover and these maps will remain uncovered. To uncover the Clabburn Tundra, you need to discover the plateau on the east side. To reach it you must come in from western Highmount Ridge. The same idea applies for Glacial Fissure: the plateau on the west side needs to be discovered coming in from eastern Highmount Ridge. Just did it. It works.
  5. Another similar problem is your healing companions will stop healing you if you have a monster CCed and that's the only monster still alive. For instance: you CC one out of a pack, kill the other ones, and want to heal up before taking on the CCed one. Well your healing companion will just stand there and not heal you while your health is low. You have to manually click each heal one by one till you finally decide to engage the CCed monster, at which point they start healing again.
  6. This is my feeling exactly: Warhammer all over again. Sure its not an exact copy of Warhammer, but a lot of it is eerily similar (mirror classes anyone?). I had high hopes for that game and really wanted to like it but around two months in I was completely bored. I suppose since some of the SWTOR team is people who made Warhammer this shouldn't be a big surprise. I really tried to like this game. I pretty much was forcing myself to like it and making excuses to myself as to why I should like it. Playing a Jedi was definitely it's selling point and a hard one for me to ignore. But alas, my subscription runs out today and I really cannot justify resubbing at this time. It may be worth playing six months to a year down the road with bug fixes and content updates yet that will only happen if people stick around that long to keep it going.
  7. So after much playing I can safely say this regarding Jedi Knight delay: Riposte, previously the worst offender, has yet to give me a single animation stutter. Blade Storm will occasionally stutter but nothing like it used to do. I'd have to say it stutters around 5%-10% of the time where as it used to stutter on almost every use. Force Sweap stutters just as much as it used to stutter. No improvement. Overhead Slash stutters anywhere from 33%-40% of the time I use it. Master Strike (not a stutter) still occasionally runs the animation while not dealing damage or blows the cooldown without dealing damage. I'm sure there are others, possibly other spec abilities, that have problems. But these are the ones that come to mind. At first after 1.1.2 I thought that these things were fixed since Riposte seems to be, but apparently they are not. I once again cannot stand to play my Jedi Knight. It is easily the most frusterating and stressful (both mentally and physically) class to play. The Focus resource requires so much button pressing to begin with that when abilities fail to activate it really takes it's toll on you. My arms and joints are killing me. Guess I'll play a different class. It's sad to see the iconic class that the game is built around be so broken.
  8. We really need something. I love this game to no end but the one thing that is bugging me like an itch you just can't reach is the lack of any useful means to find a group. This isn't just about flashpoints either as this game is so heavy on the world quest grouping with heroic missions. And we don't need a mindless queue system like a clone of WoW's finder. What we need is a setup where we can flag ourselves as looking for a specific heroic mission, flashpoint, warzone, or operation and have it show in a server wide list where people can send you a whisper asking you if you'd like to join a group. No LFG chat channel as that becomes a place for pointless chatter having nothing to do with finding groups. It's starting to feel like LotRO, where they had all these awesome quests to play out the story but if you joined the game a little late, or were already levelled up, and you didn't have a cadre of RL friends that you played with then you had a snowball's chance in hell of actually finishing that quest and truely experiencing what the game had to offer. That was a big deal which ended up ruining the key selling point of that game. Do I really need to sit in the fleet for two hours to find a group for ESSELES? How is that not a waste of my time and energy? If anything causes me to quit it will be the amount of time I sit and petition for a group with no response. And no, guilds are not the answer. You could petition your guild for just as long and end up just pissing them off in the end. Give us a real solution please.
  9. My Knight isn't super high level so I can't comment on every ability. But for me at least, Riposte and Blade Storm appear to work properly since the last patch. Force Sweep still has issues with the animation fairly consistently however.
  10. hahahahaha This is the funniest thing I've seen in a long time! I'm laughing so hard I got tears coming out and can barely breathe!
  11. It almost seems like they are fixing this issue one ability (or class?) at a time. No more trouble with riposte or blade storm. Force sweep always hits now and doesn't reset but I still get a brief stutter on the animation occasionally. I could care less what the animation does as long as the ability hits and doesn't require multiple key presses to use it one time.
  12. Holy crap 1000x thank you! The patch did fix my animation stutter but I never noticed that option in preferences till you said something. I guess I didn't scroll down far enough. Changing it to 0.0 + stutter being repaired has made this game flow so well for me. This has made my day!
  13. Now I'm not 100% sure on this yet as I've only been playing around with it for an hour or so, but the animation stutter on Jedi Knights seems to be fixed in 1.1.2. The bug I'm referring to is the one where you hit riposte, for instance, and the animation starts to play but never finishes and resets the ability resulting in you pressing it a good five times before it actually activates. The "stutter" or "strobe" effect. I will continue to test it out. But so far so good and I finally want to play my Knight again. I'm quite pleased and I hope my parade sees no rain.
  14. How hard is it to add a few relics? I mean come on. Does everyone that makes a dark choice by killing a person that is trying to kill them also actively enjoy killing children? Does everyone that makes a light choice by sparing someone asking for mercy also feel that loving someone will make them evil? What about the smuggler who makes the decision that is the most prudent at the moment? Or the trooper who follows the orders he is given regardless? I should be able to play my character the way that I choose. Not be pigeonholed into an extreme.
  15. Windu was not darkside. He used Vapaad (Juyo) in which the practitioner walked through the darkside without succumbing to its corruption.
  16. No one says you have to go for them. I assume you would like to have them all conveniently lying out on a table on your ship for easy access?
  17. Auto rotate is kind of annoying I must say. I've gotten used to it but I'd still like it to have a checkbox option to turn it on or off. Maybe I'd like to see what's behind me while I'm moving? It sure comes in handy.
  18. I never cared for arenas. They were just a "duel in a box" to me. If you do, more power to you. I'd like a warzone that actually feels like a war. Large groups battling for strategic objectives on an open battlefield.
  19. Exactly. They expect every single little detail from their wowcrack addiction to have transferred over to this game as if it was made by the same company.
  20. Nothing is stopping you from playing WoW. Or maybe there is something? The fact that it's a poor excuse for a game that's been repeatedly butchered like a scene from Hostel? And is now on the way to becoming a game that only appeals to children?
  21. It's a challenge. You may fail several times. You may put a lot of time into it. But when you succeed it's a great feeling. I love datacrons. More easter eggs like this please!
  22. There's nothing that can make me justify playing the nazi faction.
  23. Add neutral gear and fix bugs/glitches and I'll be a happy camper.
