  1. When nobody anywhere is going to waste double XP by playing a character that cannot earn XP? ... Yes. Yes it does justify that less than 4-8 people are doing that at a time.
  2. Perhaps after X amount of time, Baron Deathmark initiates a groundquake that acts on all players in the arena with the same effects of a Cybertech Seismic Grenade, causing all stealthed players to be unstealthed at least momentarily while they are damaged slightly and knocked down.
  3. I know this isn't flashpoint-related, but it is companion-kill-related. It's funny, though, because right after I had gotten HK-51 on my most recent 55 toon, I would do my warzone dailies. After a while, though, I got the achievement for killing X amount of people with HK. It was pretty funny because it was like I was killing people with a companion.
  4. As I'm sure has already been said, sap-n-caps are all situational. My personal system is: -PT/Vanguard guarding the pylon? Don't try it. -Sorc/Sage guarding the pylon? Don't try it. -Did you just try and fail? Don't try it; either something listed here is happening, or you aren't doing it right. -Sorc/Sage "guarding" the pylon, but actually farming heals on themselves? Wait until they're down on health, then kill them. -More than one guarding the node? Go somewhere else, because that's 2 people that they're wasting. -Undergeared guarding the node? Kill them, then cap. Don't go for a sap-n-cap, it'll waste your surprise moves. -You don't see anybody? Run around for a bit around the node to make sure no stealth are there, then cautiously cap. Have your escape moves ready in case there is too much hidden opposition. (i.e., really good stealthier or more than one) -Not stealth, but just tagging along to distract? I've only seen this work ONE time, and that was when the guy was 60 meters away from the node, taunting the marauder into leaping at him, and then grappling the merc to him while the stealth capped. They didn't see the stealth cap either, which was lucky. So don't try it. Again, it all depends on the situation, and the player. You have to know your own track-record of successful attempts, and weigh that with various other factors such as amount of defenders, defenders' gear/skill levels, if there is another stealth with you, if they have stealth who may be guarding, if you really NEED another node, if your own node is being compromised, if the enemy is capping yours as you think, etc. At the end of the day, trial-and-error can be helpful for future endeavors, but don't ever try something new when the game is on the line. Odds are that your opponent has seen it before.
  5. I like this. The only drawbacks I can see would be: Increase in Ninja Looting: Easily solved, make the loot not be Need/Greed-ed, and make the loot drops RWZ comms or some such. Otherwise, BH's would be stuck with sin gear, etc. Could also play around with roll bonuses being given to MVP's. (For example, every vote is +5 to your roll, so that somebody who rolled a 50 with 3 MVP votes or somebody who rolled a 40 with 5 MVP votes would barely beat somebody who rolled a 64. and Increase of Group-Ganking in Open World: i.e. a full ops group of imps waiting outside an outpost on Makeb to kill unsuspecting pubs. Also solved: disallow all PvP loot when grouped. (Could reduce it to when in an ops group if community requests, or if in, say, Outlaw's Den) Again, if rewards were RWZ comms, players would not be stuck with gear they can't use, yet still have something that they have use for. That's all that I can foresee though. I think this part especially should really be considered.
  6. On my BH main, I use Mako and Gault to run my Slicing missions (Unsliceable? and Watching the Watchdogs only, of course) and I almost always get a crit per day from Mako. Every four days or so (give or take) Gault will have a crit too, but I don't really count. Maybe it's because both of their affections are maxed and Mako has the bonus on Slicing, but meh. That being said, I usually only have a chance to run each of these missions about twice per day on him, as I don't really want to have to time when I log in and out on him in order to just send all of my comps out on their various missions. I only run the missions whenever they're available and when I'm on him getting my dailies done. Personally, I always make money in the end when selling my TR's. And as long as it's a net gain for me, I can't really complain. And for those times when my TR drop rate is on a cold streak, I've always got my other crew skills backing me up.
  7. I'm pretty sure he's not Which would allow this warzone to work in theory, but I would still change the relic to be some other sort of object of power. Perhaps a Lost Seed of Rage that has unrivaled power over the others? Would sorta fit in with the Seeker Droid line, which I specifically remember giving me a storage container for the darned things.

Styx - Come Sail Away --- > Come Fail Away I'm leaping away, Set an open course for the freecasting heals, 'Cause I've got to be free, Free to kill the guys that are ahead of me, On this team, I'm the PT tank, so complain some more, I'll still be killing tomorrow, I never get bored. And you'll try, Oh Lord you'll try, to carry on I win PvP, Killing another merc sparks my memory, All happy, none sad, I think of other mercs and the dreams they had, They lived happily for a few months, so the story goes, But then they missed out, and had to reroll. But they'll try best that they can, to carry on. A gathering of juggernauts appeared above my head, They leapt to me I have the Huttball, and this is what they said, They said come fail away, come fail away, come fail away with me man, Come fail away, come fail away, come fail away with me, Come fail away, come fail away, come fail away with me maybe, Come fail away, come fail away, come fail away with me I thought that they were all juggernauts, but much to my delight, They left somebody in the endzone, so I headed for the skies. They sang come fail away, come fail away, come fail away with me man Come fail away, come fail away, come fail away with me Come fail away, come fail away, come fail away with me Come fail away, come fail away, come fail away with me...
  9. As a guy who mainly plays on his tank and healer, I would like this idea. Atm, my tank always gets instant queue pops in group finder, so a little extra reward on top of the quick daily comms would be nice. I just hope I'd still get instant queue pops with the influx of tanks!
  10. Shoot First and Flechette Round do a lot of the job for you in WZ's. Plus, most people in sub50 are in the high 30s or 40s and have the advantage of more abilities. When enemies are opening the gap (like when you said you vanish when they're 20m away), I find Tendon Blast's movement reduction helps to bridge the gap, as well as the one skill tree box that allows Sneak to be used out of stealth and increase movement speed. In any case, your routine will change at level 36 with Shoot First as you're gonna wanna open with that instead of the setup of Det Charge and Vital Shot. That is helpful in some cases, but Shoot First is almost always the better option, especially with a second of knockdown. I too love to travel around on my 36 Scrapper surprising unsuspecting Imps (sorry, I get bored), and I find the surprise factor plays a huge role in open PvP. In WZ's, you can expect Scrappers to come after you, but rarely just outside your base on Tatooine. In any case, it isn't Bolster. Everyone sub50 can get buffed for similar stats, but a competent level 49 will ALWAYS beat a level 10 due to the simple fact that they have more at their disposal.
  11. People are only complaining about this because it slightly hinders the DPS output of their Marauders and Sentinels. Honestly, I have no problem with the "bubble stun". I know most of you are looking at my signature and saying "Oh! He has a 50 Sorc! Disregard everything he says!" But to the right of that you can see my 50 Sent, which takes on MANY Sorcerers, and very rarely has an issue with their bubbles. After the 3 seconds, you have about 20 more where you can pound them continuously into the ground. AS a 50 Lightning Sorc, I think this balances the playing field quite a bit. Being a DPS, I rarely cast the Lightning Barrier on allies, only myself. And knowing how easily we Sorcs can get steamrolled, we NEED this. Ever play a Sorc trying to defend a node against ANY 2 classes for 5 seconds so that allies can come reinforce the position? It's not easy. Stick a Pyro Powertech 30 meters out and a Lethality Operative behind you knocking you face-first with Hidden Strike plus Debilitate, Shiv, Laceration, and Acid Blades, and you'd be lucky to last 3 seconds WITHOUT the stun. While the Operative is held off for 3 seconds from stunning you into the ground, you can Force Speed away and hopefully Whirlwind the Powertech before the Operative's free so that you can type out HELP ME AT SUCH-AND-SUCH NODE! You can tell me to L2P, but I'd ask you if you'd ever played before. Because maybe I do suck, but you gotta prove it first. Try to play a DPS Sorcerer/Sage in PuGs like you'd play any other class and then we can talk.
  12. I'm a fast typer and I usually have time to rattle off "inc west 2" or "gj gg" or "gt gg" or something like "Dolgrenn's healing in the back, someone actually put some dmg on him" when my Sorc is channeling Lightning or casting Thundering Blast. That's harder on my Sent, but Master Strike and Force Stasis help with that. When I'm being chainstunned too, I can rattle off some quick ones. The longer messages are usually right after I die, sometimes while I'm dead if I'm really pissed. But usually I get messages off in time to matter as far as not losing a node that I'm defending or killing the healer so that everybody else on the opposing team dies when we rush for mid in Novare Coast. As far as one-sided matches go, I see them every day, though not always as often as some people claim. I was on my Sent yesterday on a Huttball match where their team scored right away. Our team fought for about 10 minutes until one unlucky opponent passed the ball away, unknowingly straight into my hands. I ran the ball almost completely unopposed into the endzone in a matter of seconds, hit the autorun button, and when I was crossing the goal line, typed "boom". (Did end up losing the match, the other team passed the ball back and forth with 30 seconds left to win the tiebreak.) But then there are matches where round 1 ends without a single door in Voidstar, and round 2 opens up with a plant 20 seconds in. (I've been the one with that plant many a time). Those are always more fun for the winning team, truthfully, but every match is fun imo. I always have fun playing this game, and I always will.
  13. They would have to be really good mats to draw major 50 attention, as level 400 mats can be harvested already from Corellia (I think, if not then they would also be better additions at quicker spawn times). For example, maybe several Biometric Crystal Alloy nodes right in the center on, say, a hill, and a bunch of level 400 purple mission materials, such as purple luxury fabrics, underworld metals, gemstones, medical supplies, etc, etc. This would DEFINITELY draw 50 attention, as long as it was only in one area. If they spread it out over Ilum, BH, and Outlaw's Den, then 50's in "off-hours" would go to one while the opposing 50's would go to another, and the PvP would be considerably smaller. Spawn camping would, hypothetically, never be a problem because in "prime-time" hours the campers would all be in combat, while in "off-hours" nobody would be there to complain about spawn campers. The Black Hole is where I see the nodes being placed most likely, as there everyone is 50 (hopefully) and no lowbies on Tat would be disrupted. Plus, there are already 400 green material spawns around there. But, in my opinion, there should be a new area accessible off of the BH area, where tunnels would come from the Imperial and Republic camps and meet somewhere in the middle where the bloodbath would begin. This way the daily area is undisturbed and the spawns would be nearer to the battleground (assuming they don't add new medcenters in the area). If all this is done, I can see major battles taking place. I know I don't want to wait an hour for a chance at my comp bringing back some purple mats when I can fight while I wait for a 5-min spawn on the same mats in a PvP zone!
  14. Simple fix Bioware - Put the node under the emplacement's roof, and make it large enough to click on easily. This will not only keep the capping arc limited, but would fix the problem of people standing in front of it. It would also make it easier to capture when somebody is standing in the corner of the emplacement and can't "see" the node as it fits currently.
  15. My 400 synthweaver can make level 49 augments, and that can still bring in some good cash. If I recall correctly, synth can make strength, willpower, and defense augments. Not completely sure on the last one though.
