  1. Have to repeat your sentences as well. Wow, already 2 years? I have a lot of good memories, will share my top 3. The first memory is when I actually logged in to the game and had to decide what role I will play. It was pretty much clear for me to play on the Republic side as I am a good guy and can't identify myself as an evil jerk. Secondly I wanted to feel like a Jedi, so I had to decide between a Jedi Knight and a Jedi Sage. I took the Knight which later on became a Sentinel. I do not regret this decision at all. The story was mind-blowing and so entertaining. Leveling up my char didn't feel like an endless grind of stupid Quests. Moreover it was an entertaining movie I participated in. Another thing is when we downed Dreadtooth on 10 stacks on Section X back in the days when the level cap was still 50. Wow, that fight was hard and entertaining at the same time. First time you needed to fill an Ops group with 24 man and execute the tactics a 100% to down it. I just liked that you could defeat the boss on different difficulty levels. I really hope you will do some more of this stuff in the future. The 3rd memorable moment is, without any doubts: Soon™ As I don't wanna talk about bad things around the 2nd year anniversary, I will just say: Thank you BW for an amazing game. Keep listening to our feedback and make this game an even better place!
  2. Here is my top 3: 1. Soa - Without any doubts, this is by far the best Operation Boss in this game. It never gets old to hear him talking and the mechanics are just awesome. In addition, I just like the style of the Eternity Vault in general. Epic fight! 2. Kephess in Explosive Conflict - Damn it, can't count how many hours we wiped on that Boss. (Nightmare Mode) Similar to EV, I like the style of the Boss fight. That Warstalker is just epic, especially when you know that Kephess is jumping out of it at the end of the fight. Mechanics are great and needed perfect execution back in the days as a level 50. 3. Dread Master Brontes - I like this fight a lot. Several different phases with dps-check (Droid phase), heal-check (6 Fingers phase) and tank-check (2 Hands). Overall the most entertaining fight of the new Operations. Rest of Dread Fortress is utterly boring compared to this fight.
  3. You have some good points, wanna comment on most of your points: 1. As I do agree that crashes are always a bad thing (like yesterday), the downtime of the Server was so low that you can't actually request better servers. However, I agree that over the curse of the year the game performance itself has decreased a lot. My theory is that the Collections is causing this, cause when they introduced that feature I had it the first time that mission terminals were loading for some seconds. Before, they loaded instantly. (and yes, I have a high-end computer) 2. Agree 100%. I am always testing as well on the PTS and moaned about not recognized Feedback in the PTS forums a lot. It can't be true that we invest our time to find bugs, post them on the PTS forums, and Developers are not reading/listening/ignoring it and release it unchanged. So please BW, for 2014 please move some capacities to the PTS forums and listen to our feedback! 4. I really hope Guild Features will become a lot of love in 2014. Dreaming for Guild Capital Ships since the beginning. Some QoL-Features would be nice as well. The NPC idea is actually really nice, but I doubt we will ever see something like that. 5. As already said in 1., I agree that every new patch is decreasing the game performance. The game 1 year ago did run a lot better than now. Dunno if it is technically possible to decrease the game-size. I would not mind to have 100GB of data if the game runs better. Free HDD-space shouldn't be an issue at all for any user at this point. 6. Well, if you recap it we got 2 Events in 2012 (Rakghoul and Chevin) and 2 in 2013 (Gree and Bounty-Hunter, 3 if you count in the upcoming lifeday event). I think 2 new Events are pretty much okay in one year. I hope the revamped rakghoul event will make as much fun as it was back in the days when it was first launched. Then give us another recurring event in 2014 and we should have a big variety of recurring events. my2pence
  4. Basically this. I can't wait to throw snowballs into some faces. Hope they have come up with some nice animations. But let's see.
  5. What annoys me the most is that you can't decide in what currency you wanna pay. 99.99$ is like 72 EUR, yet I only have the option to buy these 14.5k coins for 87,50 EUR. Players in Europe are milked like crazy. Shame on you BW, shame on you!
  6. I soloed them all, but if I have to say which are the easiest ones it's for sure the ones on Alderaan and Ord Mantell.
  7. In my raid team we used to have one guy (me) observing the minimap and calling out when the Boss jumped and when to move. I marked myself and told everyone to follow. Worked out good. You basically only need one who can "read" the minimap and can give commandos while moving. Lately, everyone in our team has the ability to notice where the boss is so it's not needed anymore. But that's just normal after like 2 months of downing it.
  8. It's actually so sad that they don't acknowledge this. We paid for this with real $$, but there is no fix on the horizon. Really sad, really....
  9. Well yeh, forgot about Seeker Droid and Macrobinoculars. But tbh, I am really not thrilled about these features. It's just taking to long and the story behind it is, in my opinion, really boring. Reminds me that I forgot to mention that with 2.0 they introduced achievements. So if you are a completionist you can spent hundreds of hours on that.
  10. Well, assuming that you left in May 2012 you missed all the major updates that makes this game feel better. I will try to give you a summarize as what has changed up from that point: - The game went f2p whereas you get some benefits as a subscriber. All answers you are looking for are written down in the FAQ about the cartel market: http://www.swtor.com/support/helpcenter/6449 - They introduced the group finder to easily match up with other players for Flashpoints and storymode operations - 4 new Operations made it into the Game, Terror from Beyond, Scum and Villainy, Dread Fortress and Dread Palce. (in order of release). For TfB and S&V they introduced already the Nightmare Modes. The best gear you can actually acquire is in DF and DP. - 2 new Companions made it into the Game, HK-51 (there is a questline on Section X for it) and Treek. - Several new Daily Areas were introduced: Section X, CZ-198 and Oricon (That's the planet where you end the story around the Dread Masters) - 2 new (recurring) Events were introduced: The Relics of the Gree Event (recurring like once every 2-3 months) and The Bounty Hunter Event. (recurring once each month for 1 week). The Rakghoul Event will come back as well. - 2.0 increased the level cap to 55 and introduced a new Planet (Makeb) with a new story arch for both factions. Additionally, every class got one new ability and skill trees have been changed. - The Appearance Designer Kiosk made it into the game where you can change the appearance of your toons with cartel coins. - 4v4 Warzone Arenas have been introduced. Ranked PvP is only possible in these 4v4 Arenas. 8v8 ranked has been removed. - Latest patch introduced Galactic Starfighter, a 12v12 Space PvP. YOu either like it or hate it. Guess these are the major changes.
  11. We're attending the Entity today again. Last try some days ago we got it down to 16%. We did not die due to low dps/hps, but because our tank lasted to long on that small gate before you enter that last area with sands. If you have 10 really strong dps, you can go for this setup: 1 Tank, 5 Healers and 10 dps (makes survivability a lot easier). The boss enrage timer is around 8 minutes, so every dps needs to pull 1 million damage in that time what is possible. That last try we had I did around 950k damage in ~7 minutes. (not yet full 78) If your dps is not high enough, you want to go for 1 Tank, 4 Healers and 11 dps. Then every dps only needs to pull around 900k damage in 8 minutes. What we nailed down is, that the key is to move away fast from the tight areas as it makes life really hard for healers. Today we'll go in again and kill it. Another thing, if you have Marauders/Sentinels in your party, Annihilation/Watchman spec is really helpful in this fight cause of the passive heal. I use a slightly different spec for that fight, to lower the aoe dmg by 34%: http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#501bIbRrRMfsrzZhGM.3 As about Vanguard Tanks: Yes, I think they are the best tanks for this fight cause of the highest dmg reduction. There aren't a lot of attacks going on the tank, so you need to survive the aoe circles the most which will be easier with a higher dmg reduction. Guess for a Guardian it's near impossible as you don't have any movement speed skill which makes the part from the stairs to the end of the right tunnel really bad.
  12. Then you're obviously playing the wrong game. As to the music, yes, I noticed it as well and it sounds terrible. Hope this won't be the new standard in the future...
  13. There was no delay in loading it, it just didn't appear in the Ops frame the entire time when we had the Debuff from Inspiration. I haven't checked to mouse over the Ops frame to spot them, maybe that's working but in the end it is plain stupid as well, cause you can't mouse over 16 names to spot a debuff. And then you need to be lucky to spot the skull first. Not working at all that way.
  14. Congrats! Overall a flawless run, if you leave out that some of your team members are eating unnecessary aoe circles and that you popped the 2nd shield way to early. I still don't support your meaning that a scoundrel is a must have. I did this fight with all available heal compositions, and the key is just to not eat any aoe circles on the finger phase. Pre-nerf I agree that it would have been impossible without a scoundrel, but now you can do it with every heal class. Anyways, grats again!
  15. Dunno if someone else has already seen that, but yesterday when we were fighting Hateful Entity we noticed the following: Once the Entity did cast the Deathmarks and we had the Debuff from Inspiration, the Deathmark debuffs weren't shown in the Operations frame. Meaning, Healers had no chance to cleanse them. However, the Marks are visible on your own char info. Guess it is as well visible on your target's debuffs, but haven't checked it. In the end we decided to not use Inspiration to check if there is a general problem with the debuffs being visible. But it is only happening when we had the Depressed debuff. We haven't checked yet if this is happening on Council fight as well. In addition, I would like to say that another 5 minute debuff is really annoying for the healers.
  16. Anyone else got excited by this? This is what I am looking forward to the most. Hope they won't wait months now to activate the event. And I hope the Event will be similar to the original one. Loved it to run around on Tatooine.
  17. Thanks! Yes, that works out if your healers positioning themselves prior to the start of the phase so they do not need to run to the specific adds. But watch out, if you get to close to the Boss you receive a sick amount of damage. Either way, what we do in our team is to split the droids on both tanks. If you do not need to use aoe taunt (hate all the sick dps guys in my team ) on kephess, you have 4 taunts in total, meaning 4 droids are on 2 tanks. But cc'ing 2 and taunting the rest will also work. However, if your dps is to tight you will want the healers to use 1 or 2 abilities on the first droid to make it safe. We use this tactic as our shadow tank can resist the first 4 stacks with resilience. And on my Vanguard Brontes isn't hitting that hard so I can manage to have 8 stacks. Hope so 2! Good luck with it!
  18. We killed the Boss pre-nerf, and the finger phase was really a nightmare with the 16 man HP. Now the fight is overall really easy if you know what you have to do. For the droid phase, try to time the dps on the boss so that you explode the last orb within like 2 seconds prior to the appearance of them. In addition, try to top off all guys in your party as the dmg income will be very high in the first seconds of that phase. pre-cast all flybys you have on the first droid, as it is the most crucial one to get down. (in BiS 72 gear, later on when your team is full 78 it's really easy) Even tanks should use some abilities. (with my VG tank I use mortar volley and a grenade) Healers should use their defensive cooldowns for this phase, as it takes some time for the tanks to get aggro of all the adds. Do not even bother to lift the droids, as it is a waste of time - better keep healing! The droids are hitting like charming kitties on tanks, so once all of them are on the tanks it's nothing you have to worry about anymore. Here's our first kill video: (that was before we understood the sense of the 2 hands in the shields, so we did it the "hardcore" way. Good luck and may the force be with you!
  19. You can exchange the token for classic commendations on the Gav Daragon. There is a Vendor when you move up to the newer Operations like EC, TfB and SV.
  20. Back in the days before f2p was introduced they advertised on that comparison page (http://www.swtor.com/free/features) that subscribers will get either a free character-, legacy- or guild rename each month. This feature was tied to being a subscriber. Later on when the new model has started, that feature was just removed. Many players were complaining as they remembered it and BW just gave out one free character rename token, which was delayed like crazy. However, there was ofc a note at the bottom page on that features page: *Subscription and Free-to-Play features are subject to change. In the end they decided that the monthly subscription fee shouldn't cover a free rename each month. The note made that change legit. Still, it just felt "bad".
  21. So, my rare crimson rakling will be available again? However, I am happy they bring back the rakghoul event. It was/is by far the best Event this game has seen.
  22. As I really like that the Cartel Market Updates are now dynamic, you should really consider telling an official time when you activate major updates like a new Cartel Pack. I don't wanna log in every 30 minutes to check the Market. I doubt it's random. So for the future, please tell us when you push the button.
  23. Actually, the preview is accurate. This Tatooine screenshot is misleading. Here's a screen of mine on the republic fleet: http://i1320.photobucket.com/albums/u528/tman_ac/Screenshot_2013-11-15_10_35_48_490023_zps1e82fcb5.jpg
  24. More unique class stories 1000 times! This is what I like the most about the game. Recently started leveling up another Jedi Knight (my first ever toon was a sentinel) and after like 2 years where I completed it the first time I really enjoy it again.
