  1. Datacrons are not hard. But they are tedious and they serve no purpose at all. I would like them to put it in legacy, much like HK, so that people have the option to unlock all datacrons for other or all alts.
  2. Actually no, for their April's Fool joke, they poked fun at the rumored plans to sell Mass Effect 3's new endings in a DLC.
  3. I think group finder is not working properly. Sometimes as a tank I have to wait. Is there suddenly a dps shortage??
  4. How is that an issue for Chiss and certain Twilek?
  5. This is against the teachings of the Jedi Code.
  6. Thanks for the information folks. I am especially curious about this "escrow". My biggest worry was that if I went to Preferred Status, any credits I earn would be null, like xp. But what you're saying is that the credits are not lost, but will be stored someplace that will be inaccessible until I sub? As long as I am not completely missing out on the credits, I may be ok with that.
  7. Even that end-game stuff can be unlocked with that weekly pass for operations. So that argument has been shot down. If I want to do a lot of things, then I will sub. But if I only want to do some things, then I prefer to be Preferred and unlock the ones that I want to do.
  8. I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt, and maybe they are just not aware of this issue. There are so many things that can at least be unlocked. Character slots. Artifact gear authorization. Action bars. Why not credit limit unlock?
  9. You're confusing F2P with Preferred. Preferred players are people who have poured in some money into the game. I played the game from March till May 2012, and have now subbed for 2 months. But I would like to tailor the game in such a way where I can still enjoy the game for free as Preferred status. And this is the strangest thing that subscribers would want to be exclusive to them. That you get to carry more money? C'mon.
  10. 350k for preferred. http://www.swtor.com/free/features I'm a bit surprised no one is complaining about this. Are people content with having only 350k credits as preferred? Does anyone know if a credit unlock exists?
  11. They could have done some things better with the F2P model. Tera is going F2P in February, and they made some jabs at SW:TOR about giving people the real Tera instead of some watered-down trial version, and about taking away your action bars. SW:TOR also wantw previous subscribers to still pay some money to become preferred status. I feel these kinds of restrictions are not needed. Most of the money would have come from people spending money on the cartel market. These restrictions are alienating the ones who made up 1.7 million subscribers you had in the past, who may have wanted to come back to the game, saw the restrictions, and then left. At least give previous subscribers free Preferred Status.
  12. When you consider that almost every strange species in the game can be force sensitive, from fleshbeasts to even rakghouls, and even the hint of droids of one day being force sensitive, I don't think making a wookie force sensitive is out of the question.
  13. Hey all, Preferred status has a credit limit. Is it possible to buy something that will remove that limit?
  14. Is this game gonna make it big? I cannot say yes. But is this game gonna fail? Strangely, I also cannot say yes, no matter how much I try. The game is hanging there.
  15. The button is at the very bottom of the page, you may have to scroll down.
  16. IF I do want to pre-order, it will be a few weeks before launch, regardless of how much info they give out. But I'm just curious why they don't want to throw in some pre-order bonus in order to entice people to pre-order. This is pretty much standard stuff and I'm baffled why they skipped on this.
  17. I think this game is progressing better in terms of income, thanks to the current loyal gamers spending money on cartel packs. But in terms of game population, it won't bring back past subscribers because the current limitations of F2P has turned away 2 people I know who used to play this game. It will of course bring in new players, but whether or not they will continue playing or sub the game is a different story.
  18. I had that problem before, and it could be just for certain headpieces. Try using different armor and headpieces.
  19. Probably a case of we want what we don't have.
  20. This is a very good question. I actually have to think about it a little bit. Then, I remember my sig. I would pay for an expanded companion system, one that adds new pve content involving your companions. It would be similar to certain simple mass effect 2 missions that only you and your companions can complete. This would be the solo player's content. Overhauled companion conversation system. I want it to be similar to DA and ME companions. You can repeat their branching conversations. They will also reveal standard companion backstory stuff like their homeworld, their past, their families, their fears and their hopes. Each companion also MUST have one main mission that is engaging and meaningful, and may or may not give them a super item. New route to gear for players, specifically for solo players. I used to argue against this, but now, I am ok with the gear to be comparable to operation level gear in terms of power. But it must require effort to get.
  21. Yes I actually dread the space missions. I don't even want to touch them on my alts. But there are some things they can do: 1. Allow you to finish the mission early once all objectives are completed. Sometimes I finish the objectives by 2 minutes, and I cannot end the mission and have to finish the whole duration. It's very tedious.
  22. I've read that Dragon Age 2 is INDEED like this, gay characters forcing themselves on you.
  23. I have no problems doing ops and flashpoints, but, from an aesthetic point of view, the game does feel slow and unresponsive. Eventhough I have stopped playing World of Warcraft, I do feel like the animations there are much more smooth. SW:TOR's animations make me feel a bit stressed. It is not as smooth, not as responsive, and feels clunky. WoW's character models also look bigger and clear. SW:TOR's characters are not as clear. But after not playing WoW for nearly 2 years, and after coming back from a 6-month hiatus, I can now accept the character models. But the point is, for someone who came from WoW and wants to give SW:TOR a try, they may be turned off by the character models already. So if you want to challenge WoW and grab their fans, you need to give them a reason to move. Story will, but the aesthetics of the game won't.
