  1. You'll probably get a lot of negative replies but I'd just ignore them. I came back a little over 2 months ago after playing the inital six months and running out of content. So far it seems like they've done a pretty good job. Makeb was fun the first time through and gave a new spot to do dailies. There's been two new companions added to the game. Group finder remedied a lot of peoples woes about not being able to do flashpoints. There's been two world events which have kept me entertained the week they were available. SW:ToR is that game when you look at it with great expectations it's disappointing, but when you go into it with an open mind it's fantastic. I think part of the reason I left in the first place (also a beta tester) was my expecations were so insane after the hype train Bioware/EA created.
  2. There's at least one post about this every day. Odds are we're done with the class stories. The plans for this game when it had 1+ million subs and gaining were completely different then a F2P under 500k sub game. If we get more story it'll most likely be like Makeb. Honestly I feel the opposite give me more Makeb style story. I've always felt a huge issue with this game was focusing too much on individual stories and not enough with what's going on with the empire and republic.
  3. It's pretty simple why this game didn't end up being a massive success. -Lack of PvE content: Players were 50 before early access ended and clearing all content by the end of January. -No Real PvP system: To be frank there still isn't one just valor ranks and gear, all the Warzones are 8v8 and similar to other games. No real innovation. Also lack of cross-server. -Bad engine: Lots of people had trouble running this game. It also severely limited them which is why we're not seeing large scale warzones and events. -Too many servers: Players didn't have others to play with as well as no way to transfer. To top if off this made recruiting very very difficult. We had every OP cleared when HM EC was the latest raid and couldn't find one healer to join our raid. EA was chasing unrealistic goals. WoW was a huge exception to the rule and gave EA an insane subscriber goal. They also tried to get non-MMO players into the game which worked to a point but they didn't stick around. If this game was released 5 years ago with the content it has right now it would of thrived. The biggest thing by far was not living up to the hype though. I went into this game thinking EA's Money, Biowares story telling, and more content then I could handle. Truth is there wasn't much content for a hardcore player.
  4. These stories are disturbingly similar to what happened to us. Once D3 came out people just stopped logging in. We raided once after it came out and could only muster 7 people and grabbed a pug. People were whispering each other about how they'd rather be playing D3 and they hoped we'd wipe so the raid would be called. I can't say I blame them there's zero reason to go back into EC. Nightmare needed to be in 1.2, and a challenging version at that because nightmare in EV and KP wasn't hard either. I can't believe people in the general forums are rejoicing over what was announced at E3. Even if they manage to get everything out in a timely manner I can't see the new operation being more than what we have now- something to log into once a week then log back out. This game is lacking a "carrot on a stick" effect. There's just nothing else to chase, there's no rare mounts of legendary items just a bunch of snooze fest bosses that have been on farm. I can't speak for everyone but the people I raid with like a challenge and this game has none.
  5. Normally I would just unsub but I thought I'd be playing this game for years and wanted to write down my thoughts on this game. The biggest problem to me is this game lacks content from top to bottom. Leveling in this game is far too fast and repetitive. The time it takes to get to 50 isn't much longer than the majority of single player games, and this is from a huge MMO with a ton of money invested, and requires a monthly fee. To make matters worse this game encourages you to play alts. The majority of the content is exactly the same, I feel like I play 90% of the same content to see 10% new content. I have 3 level 50's and one level 40 and even though the story was okay on my level 40 I couldn't force myself to do the same planets again to see a small amount of the story. PvE content is severely lacking. Know before I write this I play on the second most populated server. Low level flashpoints are completely avoided because there are no groups. High level flash points I could find a group but I've been done with all of them for months. I've done them all at least a dozen times and though lost island was fun I already had my rakata chest from EV. Operations are far too easy and offer little incentive to continue doing them. We ran EV/KP for months despite not needing a single piece of gear and having all the titles/mounts associated with the instances. When Denova came out we were excited but as soon as we cleared HM it was hard to get people to keep logging on. We had our mounts and the gear just wasn't enough to keep people interested. The majority of my guild went to another popular dungeon crawling game when it came out. Lack of challenge and lack of nightmare mode really killed it for us. Oh and denova only had FOUR bosses. PvP was fun for a bit but the warzones are just a knock off of another popular MMO I played for years. The classes don't help PvP either as everyone tends to have similar abilities and lack of DR's can make it a stunfest. They also reward you the same way if you're the best player or the worst player. That's probably why they're so popular, you don't have to talk to anyone to do them and you don't have to be good. Playing the same people is really old by now as well. The only way to save PvP is to add cross server and ranked warzones. I just find it so hard to believe this game offers so little. They had Biowares story, EA's money, the Star Wars title, and a lot of time to make this game. This game was pushed back from spring 2011 to to December. They treated us like we were lucky to play this game. We were begging to beta test it for them. We begged for them to take our money for pre-orders. I feel like they thought we were going to play no matter what product they put out. It reminds me so much of SWG in a lot of ways. This game didn't get to the sub amount they wanted and are bleeding subs. They started cleaning house with their development team and I don't like the direction this is going. This games going to see a major overhaul to get new subs and get old subs back, and there's a good chance this game will only get worse.
  6. The GTX 590 is 2 GPU's on one video card and both GPU's have 1.5GB of VRAM. Games can only use one cards VRAM so you really only have 1.5GB on your video card.
  7. Sorry the current blizzard staff wouldn't have enough content to recycle. I can see it now Patch 1.3: Revamped EV and KP!
  8. I'm a hardcore player and I'll most certainly be grinding this out. With that said it's going to ruin warzones in the future. Those who can get eight people to grind an entire set will be at the top when ranked warzones are finally put in. The gear gap from the start of this game is back. The majority of people participating in warzones are about to be under-geared once again. Oh and whoever decided it should be a 3:1 conversion should be fired. Get these stupid conversions out of this game now.
  9. Part of what makes an MMO fun for me is collecting rare item/titles especially if they're only available for a limited time. I don't see why they should stay in if you can do it with gear that's significantly better than what it's designed for. We cleared both EV and KP (combined) in a little under 2 hours last week. These titles are already really easy to get. It's an MMO and a lot of things will become impossible to obtain sooner or later whether you like it or not.
  10. Little background, I played a jugg tank at launch and rerolled an assassin. My guild had its first hard-mode kills in January and we ended up bringing whatever 50's were on the server, and replaced the last 2-3 when our members hit 50. Since then every single person in the raid has 100% full rakata including the newer 50's who have only been at it a month. Every boss drops agent and BH, the last person to hit 50 in our guild was complaining he was missing 2 rakata pieces for his DPS off-spec. Yet there have been ZERO inquisitor helmets and the weapons only dropped the first 2 times we killed karagga. We also looted our first inquisitor chest piece on thursday. I would kill for nightmares to give generic tokens that could been turned in for any class armor but I doubt it will happen.
  11. I ditched my Jugg over a month ago. This was the class I wanted to play and tried so hard to love it. Every video from the second the class was announced I said that's the one I'm playing! I was the first 50 on my server, reached valor rank 56(before they buffed how much valor you get), and obtained infernal/unyielding titles. There's so many issues with the class that it's beyond frustrating to play. First and foremost the class isn't as effective as other classes at anything. The other tanks in this game do the same job as a jugg but with less effort and often times more effectively. I don't understand the complete lack of AoE threat and I know it's not needed but the other tanks don't need to work harder so why do juggs? I think retaliation is a terrible design and gimps you on fights like soa. Soresu form cripples the amount of rage you generate for while other tanking stances simply make them more effective. I don't understand why both tanking and DPS juggs get less health than everyone else. DPS juggs do less damage, can't really off tank, and there's no way to obtain a CC. Oh and why does a a juggs interrupt cost rage? Whoever designed this class figured you needed to be extra-limited. None of the DPS abilities hit as hard as other classes yet they all cost rage, have a global cooldown, and have a regular cooldown. High end talents with cooldowns and rage costs is hilarious. I don't enjoy playing whack-a-mole which is essentially what a jugg is. Every single ability has a cooldown even if it's a top tier ability that could be spammed would be limited by your rage bar. Shatter: 9 seconds, Impale: 15 seconds, Force crush 21 seconds. Why? Does a merc have to wait 9 seconds before hitting you with a second tracer missle? Or an assassin with voltaic slash? Bottom line is the changes in 1.2 which were supposed to fix this class didn't really do anything. I'm glad I jumped ship earlier and avoided the disappointment that was the changes to jugg in 1.2
  12. I'm not impressed at all. I can't believe this wasn't in at launch for something that's been made out to be such a big deal. I get a training dummy and GTN on my ship big whoop. It looks like all the bind-to-legacy armor is a drop and that I'll have to farm in. Big whoop you can grind to 50 in 4 days which hardly makes it worth the time it takes to obtain. Using the same abilities other classes have and letting us use other races that are already playable is boring. I don't see why it took so long to come up with these ideas an implement them. All I can say is there are a lot of awesome races in this game I was hoping I could play through the legacy system and instead I can now make sith purebloods on republic.
  13. I don't understand the fascination with the focus/rage trees. It's by far the most boring spec I've played in this game so far. The damage isn't as great as everyone makes it out to be either. Getting a big crit doesn't mean you're doing a good amount of DPS. I've been hit just as hard by other abilities in this game that don't require a painful long and obvious set up. That's without even mentioning how easy is it to avoid it.
  14. I'm not sure if this will help anyone but if you have a mouse or keyboard that can make macros that's the easiest way to do it. I have a razer keyboard and made one that clicks and intercedes at the same time. It's the only way I've been able to make intercede work without trying to click on someone for a few seconds.
  15. Our first HM and NMM Karaggas dropped the mount off the boss. Then yesterday when we killed him on nightmare no mount and no chest. Some of these bugs are beyond frustrating.
  16. Just adding that this happened to us as well. As a tank who got chewed out in mumble because we almost lost our infernal titles I am not happy about this at all. Mind traps cost us infernal last week and this stupid agro bug almost cost us this week. A good jugg can still do it (2 taunts) but has to be right on the money with it. I feel bad for all you guys who got screwed over by this good luck next week.
  17. We cleared normal EV/Karaggas to get gear for a few people to help in our HM/NMM operations. Guess what happened? 6 pieces of agent loot dropped total, the sniper who is full rakata won 5 pieces while the fresh 50 operative won a columi bracer. I also won the Columi offhand while I have my rakata yet the marauder in the raid desperately could of used it. This loot system is terrible just because you won a few pieces of loot doesn't mean it works well. Wait until you win those same pieces of loot and someone else needs it or someone wins something you want and they don't need it. It's also hilarious that the BiS weapons are currently off Karaggas on normal yet you can't designate who you want it to go to.
