  1. The main issue is there is no proof that it was a buff. The math just purely based on the ability changes (not considering stims/adrenals etc) seems to indicate otherwise so unless bioware actually responds as to why this is a buff, we would never really know if this is a buff or not. It really does not matter what each person thinks is the way to play the class since there will always be two sides to anything and everything (well, atleast I hope that is not the goal in this thread). I am more interested in knowing if Bioware can actually release the math they did or maybe even explain in lay-man terms as to why this change is a buff since atleast the math I am doing seems to prove otherwise. They really can't have released something like that in the patch notes without adequate proof and even though it seems highly unlikely, maybe we are all missing something that they have not ?   4. Correct me if I am wrong, but it should not too hard to rebalance matches before the actual game starts.

We had a crappy game last night when the game matched us 6 against 8 and neither did it abort the warzone or get more people into the game (I know there were definitely people queued up since 1) It was 9:00 PM EST 2) It was on Veela). Only 6 people entered the warzone on our side so it was not an issue of starting the match with 8 people and then losing people. Even worse, it put two healers on their team and none on our side. Most agonizing and frustrating 12 minutes of pvp last night. If at all matches should start with less than 8 people, it should atleast be balanced like 7 versus 7 or 6 versus 6 instead of 6 versus 8. Also, on another note, matches that put all healers on one side in pugs only cause more frustration and qq and less enjoyable gameplay that only cause people to start leaving warzones within 2 minutes of joining and further qq and the vicious circle continues.   8. Does anyone else who killed Karagga on NM know what this chest is that the patch notes mention that drop of Karagga on NM ? We killed him on NM last week and did not notice any chests that spawned nearby. However, Karagga did drop some epics when we clicked on his corpse.   9. Every other profession can make BOP epic gear that has a chance to have an augment slot. Each augment slot can be fitted with a +28 primary stat (not seen any higher ones yet though I am sure they probably exist) leading to a +56 of primary stat on the rakata crafted gear. At the end of the day , nerfing biochem would cause a lot of min/maxers to ponder what to do since +56 of a primary stat from another profession like artifice or sythweaving is quite a bit especially when your Rakata biochem stims are going to be useless as compared to the Exotech stims which is what min/maxers will use anyway.   10. Can you stack the raid as a tight clump in phases 2 and 3 ? Isn't there a chain lightning mechanic and if it is there, is the damage from it easy to heal through with all the other things the healers need to focus on ?

  12. Thanks for the reply. Damn, that sucks. Ok, I guess we will try NM then and see how it goes and if it sucks, we will switch to HM and stick to HM for the whole run. Hope XRR-3 is not insanely harder than HM on NM.
  13. Hi all, We tried HMs last week since we had a group of 50s online in guild and got to 4/5 HM in EV with balls totally screwing us on SoA. We are thinking of attempting NM on some of the bosses this week if we can. Is it possible to switch between HM and NM on a boss by boss basis without bugging the encounters out or does one entire lockout have to be purely HM or NM ? To those folks who did NM, what are the differences between HM and NM versions of the first 4 bosses in EV ? (We killed Annihilator last week with like 2 people left at 50% health and the rest of the 8 man dead on Hardmode (though we did not hit the enrage which would have probably 1 shot us or have a sniper with us for op mega shield) but the rest 3 were relatively easy on HM so trying to figure out what bosses are within reach for us on NM).   14. I agree loot should be available when you zone in if the boss dies at the same time your group wipes but that is a separate issue. There are a lot of constructive suggestions for the op. I am going to throw one in but this may or may not work depending on your group's dps. Also, I have not done FE HM after patch 1.1 so that may have changed as well. Apart from the first time we did FE HM where we used two knockbacks to knock malgus off, the other times we were actually able to kill him before he did his immunity phase. I think this has to do with the timing of when he casts his doubt ability on a raid member. For us, he used to emote saying that he is going to cast doubt close to 10% on a player and then would not go immune at 10%. We would be able to get him down to 4-5% when the person actually goes 1 on 1 with Malgus and the player finishes him off then during the 1 on 1 phase. I am fairly confident that if we had not killed him in the 1 on 1 phase, he would have gone immune after coming out of that phase. Now, if this is indeed the mechanic that he will finish his doubt phase before going immune (maybe we just lucked out ./shrug), trying to use it to your advantage is not so hard as it should be fairly easy to test and see if it works for you.
