  1. If they don't admit its a real issue it doesn't exist, don't you guys know BW yet.
  2. best pvp team in the business™ says if you drop out for even a second you're gone, up to 14 minutes of contribution counts for nothing.
  3. it's ok, win or lose you still get rewarded. just keep turning up and you'll win tor.
  4. weekly quest should give guaranteed fun it fails there too.
  5. gear grind progression with guaranteed epics that can never be lost or worn out can only create a shallow endgame. dailys and weeklys are a sign a game has failed on gameplay terms, that people are dumb enough to keep chasing the carrot means these games can succeed despite being poor games.
  6. quit messages are feedback and as such are more worthy than blind fanboism. when the game has no pvp population left and goes f2p because no longevity was designed into it the devs are going to want to know why, the quit threads will provide this.
  7. ilum is not broken in BW's view, working as intended.
  8. given 2 options: 1. cross server pvp 2. server merges, much higher server population, instanced world zones in busy spots (fleet) which is better? in hindsight tor should've started with a 3rd of the servers that it has, there would've been a lot of world instances in the 1st month and servers would all have actual population now instead of a lot of them being ghost towns.
  9. this is not the game you are looking for open world pvp will never be given serious consideration in tor.
  10. loosing is what you do to an arrow from a bow losing is what people do in mmos every day is a school day.
  11. this is why they failed so hard, a pvp nerf was necessary - keeping it useful for solo pve would've been nice.

    mythic are pvp-gods!

I got tired of it so gave up my career in 2006 and started a games development degree. because I'm precious I got disillusioned with the degree in the 3rd year because they weren't allowing us to be creative, they were giving me a business degree. The industry is ****ed, there's no creativity. games companies, like other entertainment providers these days, are no longer in it to create good experiences, they're only about the money and to break into the industry you've got to think that way too, imo.
  13. because there is a market for brocolli but none of the big supermarkets stock it, they all refuse because brocolli only supports a couple of hundred thousand subscriptions and they want the product that sells millions - but that product is a one off in the western market and won't happen again. you can get broccolli but only from them dodgy markets and the lack of quality shows.
  14. I like the forums, I wanna watch the train wreck. I don't spend much time in game, I do some 10-49 warzones as I don't mind them. I just don't care about character progression because 50 holds nothing for me. Also, if you want to pay me an hourly rate you can tell me what to do with my time.

f2p, the guy you quoted won't have to buy it. (also boring, Ive been offered 5 or 6 beta weekends and never could be bothered after the 2nd)
  16. I still play because I have 3 days play time remaining. that is all.

    mythic are pvp-gods!

is anyone who was at the original mythic even a part of ea mythic these days? I think the original Origin creators of uo aren't even in the genre anymore; koster, garriot, mcshaffry etc
  18. some people like chess, for some people it is too hard. should we dumb down chess?
  19. how many pvp guilds are represented at the guild summit? (actually, how many pvp guilds are left in the game?)
  20. the actual fact is mmorpg is niche and always has been/will be and harsher death penalties would be acceptable to anyone who is an actual mmorpg player. swtor and other wow-esque themparks are not mmorpgs, they're mmolites and they are more profitable for a short term than a proper mmorpg. the people who want guaranteed epics and gear grinds to be the only form opf progression aren't mmorpgers, they need a new classification. nice real mmo are still profitable, just not as profit milkable as wow so the big publishers stay away.
  21. heh, cowards oh no I daren't stay in this warzone... it's too scary. I think it has much more to do with apathy than cowardice.
  22. medal system sucks, it promotes selfish player over objectives /thread
