  3. NO! As a merc pyro I love huttball because there are so many kiting options unlike other WZs where things will often not end well with when a melee class gets on you. The problem I had with huttball per 1.2 was being forced to play it some often.

  5. Ok, interesting read until I got to this. I played 11 WZs last night, the highest damage total of ALL the participants (both sides) was in the mid 400Ks. In the last week I have played about 40 WZs, the highest damage total was in the low 600Ks and the next highest was in the high 400Ks... again ALL participants. So this is either complete BS or you play on a server where people have no clue what they are doing. Either way you lost all creditability with me.

  7. What do you expect? So a huttball game can be finished in 2 min... You can also sit in queue for 20 and have a full 15 min WZ after that. I am not talking about isolated incidents I am talking about averages which is probably best to look at when someone is talking about a sample size of 140 to 350 WZs a week.

  9. Well it is settled then. We have CLEAR anecdotal evidence that you can now finish 20 huttball games in 40 minures:rolleyes: 15 min per WZ ... that includes waiting in queue, the 1.5 min you wait inside the WZ before it starts, load times, and game times is likely a low estimate I am using to figure out how many WZs can play per hour.

  11. I disagree. In long boss fights I estimate that we will be using RS (our biggest hitter) about 20% less often. So yes it will be available on a more consistent basis but also less often. Also, our filler attack PS is getting reduced 10% and we won't be using this as much with the 6 sec CD on RS reset. Overall, we will put out less damage. This is from a merc pyro perspective but I understand the 6 sec RS CD presents similar problems for the PT pyro.
  12. Degauss only clears existing snares it does not give snare immunity or so I understand. Degauss would be a no brainer if it gave immunity. As it is I currently use gyros.
  13. You might have something here. I ran about 25 WZs over the last 4 days on HoG server and the highest damage total I saw was about 450K. Not for me but for everyone. So a sample size of 400ish.
  14. From the 1.2 pvp article, "A training simulation themed variant of the Warzone supports same faction vs same faction matches". How about a 'training' variant for every WZ that is invite only. That way we could tee up against our own guildies in a 16 man match or another against another guild of our choice. These WZs would not give any type of credit in terms of commendations, ranking, valor, etc. but would just allow for the occasional 'fun' game between groups of people who would like to play against one another.
  15. I suspect he is prob a PT Pyro posting in the wrong forum (happens often). Under the right conditions PT pyro (long Voidstar game with a pocket healer for example) can do some crazy damage. A merc doing more than 400K in a WZ had a pretty good game I would say.
  16. A number of reasons I would guess. We don't bring a lot of utility to WZs besides DPS so it should be expected that we are near the top of the WZ boards for DPS. It is not like we are dropping 400K DPS + 200K in heals or can tank the ball in huttball. Also, all DPS is not created equal. A lot of our DPS is from DOTs and/or AOE which is less important (and less noticeable) then single target burst DPS.
  17. This is exactly what happened. In attempt to nerf PT pyros they are hitting merc pyros as well. No one has complained about merc pyros and tbh if no one is complaining about you, you are probably already on the left side of the bell curve in terms of class overpowered status. So it kind of sucks.
  18. IM (1.6 sec) ... TD (1.6 sec) ... RS (1.6 sec) ... Unload (reset) (3.1 sec)... RS (1.6 sec)... PS (1.6 sec) (reset)... RS (1.6 sec) ... now what? I am 12 to 13 sec into a fight, am I stuck with with rapid shots for the next 2 GCDs and then reapplying IM? As I say, with the pace, movement and other variables (filling in with stun, jetboost, perhaps fusion missile etc) of PVP this may not present a big problem but in long boss fights I see this as a damage nerf.

I generally only have heat problems when I go through a dry spell of unload/powershot reseting RS. This bump in chance should really help with this. I will gladly take the 10% decrease in PS damage for the increases in RS reset we are talking about. Edit: well now knowing that there is a 6 sec min between resets going to have to rethink this. So lets say I IM > TD > RS > Unload > RS (on reset) > ....(6 sec) ???? > profit. So what is the best thing to do in those 6 sec post RS reset? This looks like less of a problem in fast action PVP where burst is king but in long PVE boss fights this could be a damage nerf.
  20. In 3 of 7 WZs today I have been DCd or my program has crashed. Anyone else having these problems?
  21. So much is about how it is delivered... "Hey guys lets try this" will almost ALWAYS get a better response from the other players then "You F***** ******* we need to do this". But there is no guarantee people will be on the same page or listen.
  22. This also happens with COCKYTEAM... You know that team in Voidstar that comes to meet you at the ship spawn point immediately and one of your stealthers sneaks around them and plants a bomb 15 seconds in to your offensive stage.
  23. I hear what you are saying... One point though "where he will be fighting 1 on 1 against a healer" .... actually this is not a bad trade off in most WZs. As a merc pyro, I have danced 1 v 1 behind the action in Voidstar with healers more then once and I actually think I am helping the team in doing so by keeping the healer occupied away from the rest of his team. Usually good healers don't stick around long because we are basically stalemated but some do stay for 30+ seconds of pillow fighting.
  24. With 4 medal cap on valor are people still farming? Seems like it would be a waste of every ones time. But the OPs point, whats worse is when your team plays a certain strategy (say 2 left 6 middle in Alderan) and it doesn't work out because the other team is just better man for man then you and the player who didn't even offer a strategy chimes in about what a 'crappy' strategy that was and then quits. I guess it is always easier to just be negative then offer constructive ideas. The thing about MMOs that I need to remind myself about is that there are many people playing that I am forced to play with that I would never ever chose to deal with in real life.
