Aren't there any concerns on your end that combining all of the RP-PVP servers still will not have enough players to have a large and very active place to play in? There is a lot of grumbling going on from players like myself who are in slow RP-PVP servers.

Should be interesting to see whats done next week.

You people in Europe are getting it REAL bad. You have 3 RP-PVP's, all in different languages and only one of them is hitting Standard still. So, best case scenario under the current statement from BW: You'll have 2 dead servers and one light Standard combined to make one Light to medium Standard with 3 different languages on it. GOOD LUCK WITH THAT, SIR.

This entire thing is looking to be a marketing gimmick to make the people, myself included, who have been angry about populations shut up. This is such a poor, simple and weak handed attempt at fixing this issue that it blows my mind. Just open up 15 servers to move to, and close the rest. BE DONE WITH IT. KILL THE LOW POP SEVERS SO WE CAN PLAY A MMO. The more I read about this the more I'm horrified.

I used to play SWG from Kosovo on a slow DSL connection! haha. Anywho, wow, we got SCREWED on this one. So 1 dead server gets combined with 2 low Standards (which are dead/slow when compared to Heavy). Sooooo...... all the people on RP-PVP servers now get to play on one Medium Standard? Really? Months and months of dead Ven Zallow, only to have the option of going to a slightly better off place? I wanted a FULL server. I wanted that bad boy packed. I don't care if it's PVP or RP-PVP, i just want to play the game with other people and not have to constantly watch the population drop every week. I can't say I'm surprised, though. BW really amazes sometimes with stuff like this. I can see it now in their office "So, yeah. Let's just add one dead server to two servers on life support, and BLAMO! FIXED! LOL!!!!! BRILLIANT" and then off to a bar for drinks they go after that amazing idea. Ugh. Newsflash: RP-PVP servers flopped. the people on them should have an option to get the hell away from them. If BW doesn't want to help those people, then they should not expect renewals.

Respectfully, this is a major mistake. With all 3 North American RP-PVP servers, we still wont be looking at populations anywhere near what they were on opening week. Ven Zallow is dead, and the other two are low Standards. Even when combined, we will still have low populations compared to what the server is capable of running.

I don't see the issue in it really, either. The backbone in the US should be able to support it no problem. I just find it interesting that they would get rid of the East/West differentiation. Either way, all the PVP-RP North America servers, all 3 of them, would still not be ideal number wise. We should be putting 7+ servers into one, not 3. Bummer. I think all 3 being combined would be the best case scenario right now? BW just posted that the server types will remain the same. OUCH. I was not expecting that.

No, it won't. Jung Ma only hits Standard for a few hours per day. Thats where we were on Ven Zallow in March. last night there was about 150-200 people on. Add that to Jung Ma, and were still in Standard. Not what I'm looking for. I want to be in a Full server. Also, this would be assuming EVERYONE on Ven Zallow moved to Jung Ma, which won't happen. Sure, a lot of people will, I'd say most. But even then, its still not enough people to push the server into Heavy territory. It's not even close. At best a Ven Zallow and Jung Ma combo would be a band aide that would fall off when all the people with 6 month subs expire. I'm in that category, and I'll be long gone if it's a 1 on 1 transfer to Jung Ma. I hope BW is VERY aggressive about this issue.

BW, please answer this. This was not addressed at all in the update.There re only 3 RP-PVP servers in North America. 2 are on East, and one is West. Two of them are in Standard land, slipping towards Light, and Ven Zallow, my home, is just about dead. Even if you combined all 3 servers in North America, I know that it would not be at saturated levels. What is your plan for RP-PVP servers.

I have a question: I am on a RP-PVP server. there are only two RP-PVP servers on the East Coast. Does this mean that Ven Zallow will just fill into Jung Ma? In other words, are people on RP-PVP only going to be able to fill the other RP-PVP server?

I think I've only ran two space missions ever. They were both on the 1st week of release. After what I saw I had enough. Never again will I play it. If I wanted a on rails space shooter, I would play Star Fox 64. At least Star Fox is fun, and was a great modern game when it came out in 1997.

Consider yourself lucky, sir. Some people have been on dead servers since late JAN. Talk about a retention issue.

I find it interesting that people are still defending BW even though this issue is over 5 months old. Quick fun facts: Out of 123 North America Servers: -2 have hit Full in the past week -1 has hit Heavy (max) in the past week -27 have hit Standard (max) in the past week -93 have been stuck in Light in the past week 75% of the servers are at Light permanently. Light is awful. It's not playable for me. I can't group for PVE, and WZ's don't pop in any sort of realistic time. Every week or so, another server slips into Light land. Looks like 16 are on deck to be residents of that place very soon. (numbers could be off a little, i did a quick count on torstatus) http://www.torstatus.net/shards/us If you want to pay $15 per month, and have a company treat you like a fool, that's your prerogative. BW needs to turn things around, and fast. When the players who have 6 month subs (plus the 30 days) run out, there is going to be another drop in subs, unless player interest is renewed. Standards level of players is laughably wide, and very difficult to interpret. the low side of Standard is a nightmare, and the high side of Standard is decent.
