  1. Sadly I think that Bioware just wanted to get rid of what they felt like was loose ends due to the fact they weren't the ones who came up with kotor2, let alone the Exile.
  2. I have to say that Revan was a master of lightsaber combat. There are no sources stating he was a master of any lightsaber forms, but he at least had to have been proficient in some of them. You don't defeat Darth Malak, someone regarded as one of the greatest duelists in the galaxy at the time without lightsaber skill.
  3. I was not expecting at all what they did to either The Exile or my precious astromech droid. It made me not finish the book for a few weeks.
  4. In all of my posts except my first I have made points as to why I believe Revan was stronger with the Force than Obi Wan. I have also described to you my reasoning why I believe a purely lightsaber duel would be a toss up, but after going back and reading what I have on Obi Wan and seeing some of these posts, I am leaning a bit in Obi Wans favor due to his mastery of trollesu. The lack of a source that states Revan mastered any lightsaber form hurts him, though it's implied.
  5. Then you have not read the novel, and I am not debating Revans lightsaber mastery. I've already said I believe a lightsaber duel would be a toss up. As I said before, It was said in the original kotor that Revan had learned all the Jedi arts and ways. That is a very open ended statement.
  6. I've not seen anyone cite anything in this entire thread. If you want to know most of my resources, you should read the Revan novel.
  7. What makes you say he couldn't match it? In the duel on Mustafar they were unable to overcome each other with their Force Push duel. Obi Wan's experience with the ways of the Force + his powerful connection was a match for Anakin's then untrained but bristling Force Potential, which caused the stalemate.
  8. Everything I listed as what Revan could do, Obi Wan could do, yes. Just Revan does them better. See what I did there?
  9. What's up. Revan: Revan could augment his strength, speed and enduance with the Force and perform various acrobatics. Revan had a powerful Force Sense, being able to sense someone from across the galaxy Revan was able to use the Force to heal his wounds without medical attention Revan was a powerful user of Telekinesis. He could use push, grip, choke and could crush his targets. Revan was very proficient in his use of Force Lightning, and used his bare hands to absorb and deflect powerful lightning attacks. Revan was gifted with Farsight and could use battle precognition. This is why I say in a contest of Force abilities Revan would defeat Obi Wan. I still say it's a toss up as far as a lightsaber duel is concerned. It's stated that Revan "Learned all of the arts and ways the Jedi had to offer" but it doesn't specifically state that he mastered any lightsaber forms, but it doesn't say that he didn't either.
  10. With these three seperate EMUs my concern would be if there would be enough people playing them for it to be enjoyable.
  11. This game breaks even at 500k subs, which we are well above. EA was dissapointed at the subscriber loss rate, so they considered it a dissapointment. I never expected this game to crush and or topple WoW. That would be silly. Only WoW will topple WoW. I am happy and enjoying this game after being here since beta.
  12. So basically we now have a group of people working to Emulate SWG: NGE plus the guys emulating the original SWG?
  13. Yes. I've done it twice now. I don't mind it because I have enough free time to enjoy this game between family and working 50 hours a week.
  14. OP, this game isnt going Freemium until the Fall. http://www.swtor.com/free/features http://www.swtor.com/free http://www.swtor.com/support/helpcenter/6449 Here you go. Glad you're back! Still enjoying this game immensely.
  15. While I would have also liked a Kotor3, I am happy with TOR.
  16. The super secret space project OVERHAUL is not the 10 new space missions that are supposed to "expand the space experience" in a significant way. Just because we're going freemium doesn't mean it has been scrapped. TOR still has a massive revinue hall due to having over 500k subscribers so they aren't without funds to do so. They claim they have "restructured" their team as to better produce content and manage the game. While I dunno how true that is, I suspect that means the project could be moving forward and we'll know more as fall approaches.
  17. There is already brand damage, but going freemium does not mean they're throwing in the towel. This game still has over 500 thousand subscriptions. If going f2p brings in a sizable amount of people who make purchases regularly from the cash shop as well as people who subscribe then EA might not consider TOR the "miss" they think it is.
  18. Nope. Jung Ma seems to have more people on tonight even though it's usually always packed.
  19. I'm goign to be remaining as a subscriber. Game is a ton of fun for me and I enjoy it immensely. This should also help you: http://www.swtor.com/free/features http://www.swtor.com/support/helpcenter/6449
