  1. They should just remove this mission from the chapter list. Problem solved. Most people won't even know or remember this even existed. It'll be just another one of the hundreds of missions everyone skips. Also, expecting people to sub for 6+ months for a companion is insane. It says a lot when you have to resort to trickery to keep people subscribed when you expect the content isn't going to be enough.
  2. I'm disappointed this thread isn't about overly baggy jeans.
  3. I believe the issue became more noticeable because the companions are usually lagging behind. A long time ago when I was playing more regularly, companions would consistently be running by your side unless there was a latency spike. These days though I noticed they can't seem to keep up and just sporadically appear next to you. Even if the companions weren't able to move since launch but because they were next to you when you start combat they would often also be in range so it didn't matter as much. Now, when combat is initiated, they could be several rooms and a hallway behind.
  4. Waaaait, how does this actually solve the credit seller problem? By your own arguments, the credit sellers will have replenished their stock in a couple of days what took actual players months or even years to make. I mean, if anything this action seems it will only drive more people towards buying credits?
  5. Scourge in particular, since the killing of the emperor was his raison d'etre. Lana eventually filled into this role. A Sith helping the Jedi because Vi-"$#!+" wanted to consume the galaxy. Scourge 2.0 as it were, so having them both in the story would have been redundant, probably? Though as a former Emperor's Wrath, his connection is more prominent. He should have been back by the end of KotET, unless the emperor is not dead YET AGAIN. Who's to say a sliver of the emperor still isn't out there? Maybe that's what they're doing. Though with our luck, Kira and Scourge are probably raising a herd of nerfs on a remote part of Odessa.
  6. Same. People are forgetting Kira was in the beginning of KotFE when all the companions were lost. PLUS she also voiced another character in that expansion albeit a more minor one. And as someone else mentioned, if they can't get the original VA, they can get a replacement. It's simply Bioware just haven't decided to bring her back.
  7. I don't really care much for "communication" and would rather them do stuff. FIX BUGS and REPAIR GLITCHES and IMPROVE FEATURES. Maybe add new stuff but fixing the current game should be the number one priority. I actually like what they are doing with the Preview window and the Guild Heraldry. It's a good direction and they should keep improving the stuff we have. Polish, polish, polish and then polish some more. Let's get this game updated and optimized up the wazoo. If they really want to "communicate" they should do it in-game.
  8. I was also on Balmorra yesterday and it was really bad, I couldn't wait to get off the planet. There have been posts on reddit of a workaround temporarily fixing it: by changing to a different instance of a planet. But when there's only one instance I'm not really sure how to do that. I also did some flashpoints and while it seems to be better overall than it was on Balmorra (where a fight would pause for a minute or so) there is still a bit of sluggishness to the combat. Like a weird delay between pushing a button and seeing it happen.
  9. Also been experiencing this, the ping is showing at around 30ms but in truth it is really laggy. I am playing on Star Forge, most recently on Nar Shaddaa.
  10. This game would flood with people if... they fix the dang software. Every time I remember SWTOR I keep thinking "why am I not playing SWTOR?" "It's freakin' Star Wars!" Then I come back and I'm like: "Oh, that's right, the client is broken as #&%*."
  11. Do you even have Treek? I'm guessing no.
  12. No, just try it out for yourself and see. Treek is currently worse than all the other companions.
  13. The lore argument against level sync seems particularly stupid. Level sync actually makes the game more lore friendly. Those who make this mistake is just confusing game mechanics with lore. There's no reason that a random thug on Coruscant, one on Nar Shaddaa, one on Corellia, and one on Rishi should be more powerful than the other. Just because you're some noble on Alderaan does not make you stronger than all the Sith on Korriban. Don't tell me Kai Zykken can wipe the floor with Darth Skotia. That does not make sense. This is not Dragonball Z. As for level sync itself, initially when they first announced it on the twitch stream, I was like "no way." And since I had no plans of ever going back to old planets to do content, I just shrugged it off. And now that it's actually live, I think it actually improves the game somewhat. I've always disliked grey missions. Even if the content was super easy they always feel like such a slog. Like what was even the point. But now, aside from some random companion missions there are no longer any grey missions. At least, that I could find. It's like you could pretty much level on any planet you want. For instance, one of my characters got to level 64 (from 60) just from helping people do their heroics in older planets. Didn't even touch a single bit of the new story.
  14. This thieving scoundrel of a droid disappeared in the middle of the night and robbed poor Treek of all her gear. Now granted, the poor sod may have been mistreated slightly and painted over to look like a target dummy, much to his discomfort, but that's no excuse for robbing a poor back-water bumpkin of even the clothes off her back. That creeper even left his weird target dummy chassis on Treek and the ol' girl just looks odd, let me tell you what. Arms flailing here and there, just freaky. I wanted to take a picture but it was just too horrifying! I for one, demand justice. (launch day glitches)
  15. I also preferred ME3 gameplay wise. I often wished I could go back and play the earlier games with ME3's mechanics. Though I liked playing through ME2's story best.
  16. Pshhwft. (random farting sound) No way. This contest would be over before Nox could even finish casting one spell. Windu be all like: "Oops. In you, my lightsaber is." (he's doing a Yoda impression)
  17. Thread should fix it's title to: The Obvious Community Minority.
  18. Cheese fun fact: People of Greece are the largest consumers of cheese worldwide. An average person from Greece consumes around 27.3 kg of cheese every year, about ¾ of which is feta cheese. (Ed. Note: I don't know if that's actually true.)
  19. Though the impression so far to this particular change seems to be more positive than not. There's probably only a handful of folks not on board or at least are waiting until the system is actually live to make judgement.
  20. They might enjoy it? We don't know. People are pretty much imagining how bad it's going to be. Overreacting. The majority of the players haven't actually experienced the system. If the system was live then the argument might have more merit. And even then and if BW eventually agrees, such a change would probably not come soon. DOOOOM! And in any case, MMOs are all about change. Embrace the change! If MMOs don't change, they become stagnant. Aaand that's boring.
  21. Cookies cost money, just sayin'. Also, have you seen the upcoming changes to the Cartel Market? That seems more worthy of discussion than a level sync feature. That seems like a roundabout way of asking for communication. How far do you really think a thread like "level sync=death of SWTOR" will go? The title alone will more than likely be dismissed by actual devs browsing the forums as rant-filled drivel. RandomDevBrowsingtheForum: "Nooope, not touching that with a ten-foot pole."
  22. Then wouldn't it be a better use of time to ask BW why this system is mandatory rather than already asking them to change the system? I mean, most of us don't have any insight to what goes on in there. You never know, their reason might be a perfectly good one. Though for all we know, it's all jungle-themed parties with macadamia nut cookies and tiger-skin loincloths.
  23. IKR. And that's something we can agree on, which is actually the point: why would anybody not want the benefits? I mean putting it in as an option accomplishes nothing for BW since they are apparently making it mandatory for a reason.
  24. No, wait. . We ha... ah, I don't even care. If they add a toggle, then what's the whole point of even adding the whole thing in? Might as well not just have bothered.
  25. No man, I get it. I was hoping when I saw this initially leaked that it would not be a planet-wide level sync. I actually do like fighting gray mobs. I can just stand there and deflect all the blaster shots with my lightsaber. It's cool. It's iconic! It's Star Wars! Makes you feel like an actual Jedi/Sith. But it still doesn't matter. This change is still just a change. It's not taking things away, it's just making it different. I would even go further and say it's actually adding things. Giving you more than you had before. And 137 pages? Please brother, you breakin' my balls.
