  1. You should get very little real opposition. The Jedi are all about redemption. It may be hard, but no one is beyond saving in the eyes of most Jedi. Any prejudice would be a character flaw, not something inherent in the Jedi Order.
  2. That's just silly. Cheat codes for consoles have been around far longer than most PC games. ^ ^ v v < > < > B A Start since '86. OT: See link in Signature.
  3. Except it wasn't. Bioware doesn't have to apologize because some people are knee-jerking due to their own twisting of a statement. That's on the person's end, not on Bioware's. "One of" =/= "Our only" in the previous wording of the press release. Nobody should have batted an eye at the phrase, "One of our most valued and dedicated customers." because it never states that anyone else is not a valued or dedicated customer, merely that people who level to 50 are one such group in their eyes. They don't need to address the rest of the community and cater to everyone's demand for compliments because it wasn't about them. The other problem with your post is that people would have batted an eye at your example. People will always complain when they don't get something that someone else does. Somehow, somewhere, someone will complain that they aren't included in the 'rewards' group, and you'll probably get another person demanding to be included and/or admonishing said givers of rewards for not including them. Hell, it's happening in this very thread. That's not to say they don't have rights to their opinions. They certainly do, but it doesn't make them clever.
  4. You only need 8 to get 'max' rewards, but longer WZs typically net more when you win.
  5. My only problem with PvP is that the minute I poke my head out as my Commando, I get insta-gibbed for being a healer. But that's not anyone's fault; it's just a fact of playing a healer that I'm going to get focus fired and go down faster than a blonde on prom night.
  6. She flirts with the female trooper pretty openly, but you can't reciprocate. I sense me a SGRA.
  7. Sugar coat it all you want, healers were too good before. This coming from someone with a 50 Commando healer. Am I happy I got nerfed? No. Do I accept it was needed? Yes.
  8. Servers are down for one day. ALL HELL BREAKS LOOSE. The amount of facedesk in this thread is alarmingly high. I don't want to live on this planet anymore. BRB booking tickets to Mars so I can A+QQ about solar flares.
  9. I, too, have been playing since EGA day 1. I also have had a sub (almost) the entire time (it lapsed for 5 days last month). I have also been enjoying every story the game has to offer with friends and guildies (RP'er here, so trust me when I say I enjoy a good story). That said, I have 2 level 50's and a 3rd character about to finish chapter 2, with multiple characters in the 20-30 range. As someone else said, I would support this if it were a few months ago. However, we are now in month 4 of release, so there's probably a huge chunk of the playerbase at 50 now, and another huge chunk that isn't. It's hard to 'reward loyalty' without alienating some segment of the community. The simple truth is, rewarding 50's is probably the largest chunk they can reward feasibly.
  10. I see posts like this, but I don't see any solutions to the problem, just more vapid complaining. How would you expect them to do it? Via Founders titles? Well that cuts out another chunk of players. By account registration date? Well that cuts out another chunk of players. No matter which way they do this, not everyone will get the reward. Maybe, just maybe, Bioware has (and here comes the shocker) statistical data about how many level 50's there are. They then decided that the best way to reward the largest (or smallest, for the cynics and conspiracy theorists who plague the forums) section of the player base was to give the rewards based on level 50's. Frankly, I don't see the rewards for any other suggestion as being 'more' for anyone, and in fact being worse overall.
  11. Yeah, supplying evidence of your claim is such a terrible thing. SS or it didn't happen.
  12. 1.2 nuked our server's GTN, removing all items from the market and sending them back to the owner. If this is the case for your server as well, it's just a matter of time until folks put things back on that market.
  13. Release something buggy: "ZOMG YOU SUCK" Don't release something buggy: "ZOMG YOU SUCK"
  14. I've been levelling an Armstech on the PTS, and it's as the above poster mentioned. The Custom-Built <insert weapon type> that I have gotten so far are level 20, fully moddable weapons. The few I have so far appear similar to level 30ish moddable ones. The Custom-Built Assault Cannon and Blaster Rifle looks similar to these: http://www.torhead.com/item/3g2kder/tral-tech-portable-cannon http://www.torhead.com/item/6732fdJ/e-115-fusion-saboteur
  15. I can't speak for others, but as a Trooper/BH it's easy to stack up Supercharges by healing people at full health (typically due to a lull in combat, or waiting for the gates to open). It doesn't actually add to your healing done in any way. Could this be what you're seeing?
  16. While I would prefer not to have Cross-Server queues of any kind, if they aren't doing server merges then this is about the only option left to allow folks to actually play the game.
  17. Who said anything about game-breaking? Sometimes, folks just want to be treated fairly. If women want more flirt options for their females, then by all means. I fail to see how this is controversial in any way.
  18. I found a way to deal with the Legacy mechanic that is quite easy and works very well. I'm going to ignore the game mechanic portion of it. My characters are not related, nor do they even remotely have the same last names. The Legacy title, as far as I'm concerned, is OOC so folks can see who my 'main' RP character is. Moreover, titles and names are an OOC mechanic as it stands, in my eyes. My character won't know your name, your title or anything else about you unless you've spoken about it in the first place. Moving on to the other points brought up... Defectors are not rare in real life, on a planet of roughly 7 billion. Why would defectors be rare in a galaxy of trillions? Not everyone agrees with the faction they're a part of, or may have ulterior motives that puts themselves above others. The potential for RP'ing a defector is now there (or RP'ing any available species (cyborg is not a species, /rant) as any class you want). Overall, there are more possibilities available now than before. Isn't that what matters? EDIT: Spoiler on Sith Pureblood below (Jedi Knight story).
  19. Flying mounts in Star Wars ruin immersion? When you look up on most planets, you see flying vehicles/ships going by. The reason flying mounts have little purpose is because of planet size and taxis that take you across the largest gaps.
  20. The Republic variant was quite nice in regards to Revan.
  21. He's on Alderaan. They jumbled the parts up a bit.
  22. Or, better yet, just stick with the single-server idea and merge the low pop servers. Problem solved, lots of folks are happy, and if you're a douche canoe in the LFG tool then you have to deal with the consequences of it because those people will probably see you again in the future. Now they just need to add server forums after the merges and we'll be golden.
