  1. If you're leveling as Immortal just keep Vette with you but make sure you give her as good gear as you can, she can dish out tonnes of damage. So far i have had very little trouble leveling mine to 32, one bug boss that was part of the class quest on tatooine that i had to keep taunted and kite round a rock while vette killed it (liberal use of your interrupt/use force choke etc as interrupt would likely work the same) but thats the only thing i've not been able to straight up stand there and whack it till it's dead.

Not sure if it's still the same but i remember reading on the beta boards that it becomes tedious trying to kill things as immortal with a healing companion due to not dishing out enough DPS to combat the later mobs own healing.

  2.

Please tell me how you manage to crit half as hard at a higher level as I do at a lower level and the answer not be either: a) It's bugged or b) you're doing it wrong.

I can believe that, maybe not half as much but definately less. I hit for quite a bit less at 31 than i did at 15. Its not just damage, my basic resistance is ~8% lower now too (have more than enough higher abilities to make up for that though) even though my gear is as good as it gets for my level. It's that silly bolster system they have in place and nothing to do with the class, that should sort itself out once we start getting end game gear on though :p

  3. Low level immortal seems to be bad in pvp. At ~19 I switched to dps and feel a lot more useful. I'll try immortal again at later levels, maybe.

Wanted to say I'm enjoying my juggy (23 now) in both pvp and pve. I do ok 1v1 in pvp (win most).. grass is always greener, play what you want.

Around 26 is the time to try out Immortal for PvP. I've been immortal since day one and it wasn't until around then that it started feeling like i was contributing much in the matches. 31 now and i'm tough to kill to the point that 1 v 2 i'll usually at least kill one of them before i die. Can't wait for saber throw <3

I can understand why people think the class is poor at lower levels but it does get better, it's a good class but i do think that the others have the edge on it. A tank specced sin can dish out a crap load of damage and the powertech is just a beast. In hind sight i'd probably have one of those as my main but i'm still enjoying it and there is some love for juggernauts incoming soon in a patch if the devs stick to their word.

  4. Darkness is the tank spec. And by grabbing Death Field you give up Wither. Wither generates threat and reduces damage dealt, which is far, far more useful than damage and healing.

Forget leveling for a second. When your tanking an instance, you have two friends devoted to hurting people and one friend who's main purpose is to keep you alive. Why would you do their jobs for them and worse than them when you can just play distraction like you're supposed to? Yes, people screw up, but if you try and multitask everything, you'll be the screw up. There's a reason a "jack of all trades" is called "master of none".

How about because it's his leveling build? He's not asking for an untimate encounter tank build but something beefy with AoE damage, at least that's how i'm reading it.

  5. From my experience in beta, speccing as a tank before level 35 is pointless. You just don't have the HP pool to back it up and might as well go DPS. Operations before level 30 barely need a tank so you won't be missing out. Also, using a shield with a % proc chance is a great way to mitigate damage (though some will disagree with me on that).

I can't say i agree with that. At 26 i find i do fine in warzones with a fair few tools at my disposal, teens and early 20's were a different matter but it's starting to come together now.

    50% Damage reduction bubble

    40% Damage reduction bubble

    Interrupt

    AoE Snare

Force Push - knockback distance on this is great

    Force Choke

    Guard

    Taunt

I'd say those are more than enough tools to make it worthwhile playing Immortal sub 35. It's not as though you do significant damage by going on the 2 other trees <30 either.

  6. The warzones are geared towards both zerging and ranged. It's not really a place you should judge the class nor your ability to play it.

Get somone on their own and 9 times outta 10 you'll destroy them but the chances of that happening without a posse shooting you from every angle in there is slim to none. Wait till you get out in the open world and you'll enjoy the class more, they really shine in small scale encounters.

  7. Same issue, smooth connection and execution in every part of the game except in warzones. I am sure this is an issue time will fix as the servers are new and BW will eventually stay on top of it.

Doubtful, it was there even when the servers were quiet during beta.

  8. there is 1 pvp set with the spikes and the hood the others are all the same but without the hood :/

and the hooded one is medium :(

i realy want a hood and not look like a tin cyborg :p

Nah it's a heavy robe mate, just went back to double check and took a screenie

  9. i just hope there alot of hood'ish style for sith juggernaut..

I hope im not all machined up like RoboCop.. great movie by the way :)

One of the PvP sets around 40 is the robe style with hood up, you could just mod that one. I guess there will probably be PvE versions too.
