    Who else...

Maybe you should have been defending the node, rather than padding your dps and medals?
  2. There is a workaround. When you die, wait until you get back up / the fire goes out / sticky grenade explodes, before respawning. Lol, sorry, couldn't resist.
  3. You're doing it wrong. Stand at a node and heal yourself while defending to get easy commendations. /sarcastic

    Who else...

Maybe you should have been trying to interrupt a door or turret cap, instead of padding your DPS?

    please stop...

OMG. It makes me laugh when whiners complain about this. Firstly west and east only make sense relative to the mini-map. So, if you take left and right relative to the mini-map too, then you're calling the same thing. But, left and right is easier because everyone knows them. There's not one person posting here who doesn't know their left from their right. But, there are plenty who will become disorientated when battling it out at mid when a help call comes for west/east and run the wrong way. Grass / Snow are also fine as they work with both the mini-map and visuals. I say learn them all, use them all and let's make sure we call something! "adskjsdfjhsdf" works for me because I know who called it as their name is next to the shout, and I can find them on the mini-map or with the full map. As long as the imps die, it works for me.
  6. Level 50, 52 Valor Commando Medic. Yes, I've read the article and am aware of how resolve works.
  7. Let me clarify my point. Pay2Win, to me, means any of the following: 1) Only the best gear/items can be unlocked with cash 2) The grind to the top can be shortcut/boosted with cash 3) The grind to the top is so unrealistic, so you are forced to option 2) The subscription model simply gives access to the grind. The F2P model blocks or limits the grind. Now, I get your point about subscription kind of being pay to win, but only as far as the content isn't locked or limited. For example, subscribers can do unlimited PvP, so the limit of warzone commendations you can earn is capped by your time or the grind. F2P users are not limited by time, but by a cap on warzones per week. Now, if the cap can be removed using the Cartel Coins, that's fine, that's equal to subscribers as you are both now on an equal playing field. No boosts as such, just paying to have the same right to grind as everyone else. However, if warzone commendations or PvP gear becomes available via Cartel Coins, you are becoming Pay2Win. This is because, to remain competitive, everyone would have to spend additional cash beyond what you pay to gain access to the content. I believe that, if Cartel Coins were only ever going to be for novelty / vanity items and unlocking content, then there is no need for subscribers to have them, at all, ever. The novelty / vanity items should just be free (or nominal cost in credits) via some subscriber vendor and Bind on Pickup.
  8. An ingame currency called GASH? /snicker
  9. Pay2Win. Remember, Pay2Win isn't just about buying a boost you can't get without cash. It's buying whatever you would normally have to grind out for it you didn't have the cash too. It shouldn't be possible to obtain top-tier rewards without actually competing and earning it. Otherwise, there's no top-tier anymore.
  10. Whatever model they go with they have to make sure that unlocking for F2P is more expensive then full unlock as a subscriber, and switching between F2P and subscriber correctly handles re-locking content.
  11. Good effort, now lock the thread Mr. Moderator. Whot? You're not a mod? Then why bother? G.T.F.O. I'm well pissed off with perma stun and the more posts complaining about it the better.
  12. You know they will put normal and ranked comms on the Cartel Market for sure? I mean, why not? It's a cash-cow, everyone will buy them! What's that? Tired of watching those War Heroes roflstomp you on the face? Come to the Cartel Market with phatbuck$ and CD30 can sell you all the commendations you need to get your own set of pay-2-win War Heroes gear.
  13. And that, sir, is why people don't buy recruit gear and sell the token instead. OP much?
  14. The simple solution is to take out the option of selling the token. Free gear is still free, even if you don't need it. While the option exists for players to sell the token, I am totally fine with them doing it and queuing up naked for warzones. Why? Because they pay to play too (for the time being anyway). If people want to skip recruit gear and go straight for BM that's also fine. They're going to have a hard time doing it. Rather than forcing them to quit, why don't you quit and rejoin? I've seen some good guides on quitting to get decent groups. I also have no problem with that. Just chillax.
  15. The real problem is that Ranked Warzones are simply pointless. At the moment, it's simply a leader board. Until they actually create divisions for rankings and put teams up against each other in the same division, Ranked Warzones will continue to generate these threads and trolling responses. 0-500 Bracket 500-1000 Bracket 1000-1500 Bracket 1500+ Bracket However, they can't do this until we have cross server queuing as there simply isn't enough PvP going on because of the poorly implemented Ranked system anyway. Chicken and egg?
  16. I'm really worried about this. I love this game and will continue to subscribe until we actually see what these "limited access" F2P options actually are. However, if a subscriber has to spend a single penny more than the subscription fee to remain competitive I will quit. With a subscription based model, the playing field is level. But, when "boosts" start showing up that provide "gaming edge" benefits (which are typically consumables, forcing you to return to buy more) then your competitive edge goes beyond your time and your skill. It requires money. Just imagine how terrible it will be when a stim shows up that can be purchased with these Cartel Points that give you a 10% expertise buff in warzones. I really want to welcome the F2P model, but I find myself resenting the decision, hoping they will put in a 3 second global cooldown for F2P accounts.
  17. It ticks 3 times over a global cooldown. So: 91.6 / 3 = 30.5. It also has a chance to crit, so if you have a 5% crit bonus: 30.5 + ((30.5 / 100) * 5) = 32. I have no idea if this is correct by the way, you're crit bonus may be lots more than 5%! I'm speculating as I'm not into theorycrafting. It may simply be some inner rounding going on somewhere that we don't know about.
  18. Erm, doesn't 2: cover all other options (crafting, raiding, etc.).? Wait a minute. Wow, my trololololometer just went off the chart then broke. Well played my man, I give up.
  19. 1: No he didn't. The point he made was that top PvPers would raid to get the best weapons. He's talking about doing whatever is necessary to get a competitive edge. If the best weapons were through crafting, they'd do that. If it was using real cash, they'd do that. I watched some swimming on TV last night and one of the swimmers talked about how he'd taken up rock climbing and ballet to get a competitive edge. Neither of which are required to be a good swimmer, but he believed the skills and experience he gained from them would improve his swimming. I believe he's the World Record holder for 50m back stroke. 2: It's not a false dilemma, logical fallacy, false dichotomy, see 1. He didn't suggest an either or situation ignoring other unconsidered situations. Or at least I certainly didn't pick that up from his post. Put simply, top PvPers will do whatever it takes to get a competitive edge. 3: Not enough, clearly. I'm not the one using fancy psychological references
  20. I certainly didn't mention anything about needing raid gear. I simply agreed that you shouldn't need to PvE to be competitive at PvP and vice versa. Also, " false dilemma logical fallacy" - so you agree with me then, based on your double negative? Sensitive much?
  21. Slightly off topic but, This. It should never be a requirement to raid to be competitive at PvP and vice-versa, to PvP to be competitive at raiding. However, I strongly believe that good PvP skills can greatly improve raiding skills (situational awareness, positioning...)
  22. Hmm, hammer shot becomes the WoW resto druid equivalent of rejuve. I like that too.
  23. I like the concept. We need a little something extra, and many people are put off by hammer shot as it's effectively a beacon of "focus fire me, I'm a healer". Though, with the rate it crit's (3 chances per GCD and most people aim for the 35% crit chance) you'll be getting an awful lot of ammo back. And, there are some good healing rotations out there to keep you in the high ammo regen bracket anyway. How about on crit it "arcs" to the closest friendly target and heals them for 50% of the amount just healed the original target for?
