  1. I've canceled my subscription, if some miracle happens and 3.1.1 makes some decent changes for marauder viability I might re-sub now. However since S4 started my gametime has drasticly been reduced and figured what little time I spend ingame might as well be F2P. I dont really see it as a loss, gonna try grab some extra shifts and do some renovations during summer on my new house.

Subgeared people in ranked PvP is like a guy joining a OPS group, purposefully wiping at all encounters and then locking the group to that instance so they are not able to play it again until the reset time. Or a random guy forming a OPS group, sending ALL the loot to himself and expecting everyone in the group to complete the OPS for him. If these things would get you mad, perhaps next time sign in with 2018 expertise.
  3. Okay I am going to try to explain this easy. Average Joe has gear 100% stats, when you play your 50's in midbracket your gear was like 180%. So in reality you were absurdly overpowered against most opponents. This is where you had your "fun". Now you level to 60 and stat wise if Average Joe has 100% but with full ranked, players have 105-110%. So you are used to ROFLMAO-stomping people and now gear-wise it is much more balanced between Exhumed and Dark Reaver. But this 5-10% gear difference is what you are complaning about when in fact you had almost 100% more gear stats in midbies bracket?
  4. Hey there, Regarding gearing I would recommend going full surge/power with 4 accuracy enchancements which should bring you close to 95% using 174 gear. Augments I dont really feel any difference between STR/Power so your pick but I think overall there appears to be more and more switching from STR to Power. Also be sure to pick up 4 enchancements you can replace the Accuracy ones for more surge/power that way you now have good gearsets for both Carnage and Fury. Personly I prefer Fury spec for PvP but alas Carnage is very fun as well, have enough playtime to use both specs. They are quite similar in roles, both bursty they just have different sets of execution. Main draw to Fury for me was root break on the short leap (forgot name) and less punishing to use Predation as it doesn't hurt your burst as much as Carnage. Also I would like to recommend a fellow marauder player, Skyrush. He has videos you can search for to give you some idea's. Anyways good luck with your pvping!
  5. If you guys are so intent on challenging eachother, why don't you just transfer your characters to PTS? just a thought, no matter the outcome it would be a great vid to see and perhaps it can also be a conclusion to this thread.

  7. I havent read all the posts in the thread but my conclusion is that Operatives needs nerfing.
  8. Maybe this is the problem, it has been to long and everyone rerolled a shadow/sin so if they nerf them they will anger 75% of the pvp player base.
  9. You're correct in your assessment that I am not involved in group ranked. Although my personal view is that I think balance should be around Solo-Q, I know alot of people think grouped ranked is highend and it should be balanced around it. Quite frankly this game doesnt have enough people to sustatin a healthy group-ranked population imo. So why balance around a few teams per server?
  10. I don't disagree with your post, I just find it strange that soon as Merc/Mando and Mara/Sent issues are voiced everyone start comparing them to eachother. I for one play mara, I wish they would buff merc/mando for pvp. Heck I think sniper needs some love for solo q ranked. Usually when I do WZ I vote for the merc/sniper/mara not because of they topping any meter, just extending some love to the people who still play the toons they prefer. We should stick together and wish for one day when all the FOTM players cry out in a thousand voices. Personly I would love if they nerfed sins in a way that good people still make it good and the bad sins become fodder.

  13. So I followed this thread for a week or so, it appears bascily everyone agree on Sins being retard OP except one guy who has a sin and think's he is pro player.
  14. try using abilities that cc's opponents. scream, smash, ravage. this will reduce the incoming dmg a great deal and vs stronger mobs you can use your longer cd's.
  15. I kinda liked it in that other game where dots were cleansable but than a class could have a dot that if it got cleansed caused a big silence and damage on the cleanser. so if you cleanse 2 of 5 dots you kinda are rolling the dice so to speak.
  16. I am pretty sure most people who watch the streams also frequent the forums. Perhaps he should create a poll with about 10-20 topics, people can than vote what they are most interested in and the top 4 topics get streams during the next month. Heck could even have a thread prior to the poll asking for topics.

Hey guys, While I agree the most logical would be to balance classes to the highest level of play but this game simply doesnt have enough of population to even create different rating "brackets" (lack of better words) for group ranked. So even if you are lowest rating grouped on the server, you might be facing the highest rated. Unless they are adressing this issue I think it would be more sound to balance the game in it's current stage to solo-q. Based on this my opinion is that they should balance each class in pvp for "stand-alone" performance without requiring support or team or allies. In my opinion they should remove abilities that offer no or little counterplay so that good players can always counter bad players. It's not very fun playing against the current FOTM spec without any form of counterplay. I am not stating this is a issue, merely saying all classes should be able to counterplay all classes to form a more interesting gameplay.
  18. Hey guys, I see alot of attention giving the DOT-spread on the saber throw. Personly I don't mind keeping smash as the DOT-spread skill but they should make it more responsive and perhaps add some distance to it. This is assuming they will tone down more of the other AC's DOT-spreaders which I think is the best path. I know we are not in the best spot right now but I feel this is better for the game overall. Mara's defensive cooldowns are focused alot on damage mitigation at the moment, it would be real sweet if annihilation could be the discipline with perhaps a bit less damage reduction but more health recovery.
  19. Hey guys, I've followed this thread and there seems to be some interesting discussions going on. I have a few idea's that's not really thought about in a context. I am going to use mara-terms in sorry this. DST-Idea Personly I love the animation of dualsaber throw. Think I read earlier in the thread about the idea of having it spread dots, I was thinking maybe using this skill for a root break. That way if someone roots you, you can DST and slow him but he already has 1GCD worth of "range gain" on you, so it's still in his favor, you're not a sitting duck which is very boring. Perhaps not superpowerful but it would make for more fun "gameplay". Perhaps even make a utility that lowers / resets the CD on DST when rooted/slowed? Obviously with a ICD. Cloak of Pain-idea How about making roots and slows build resolve when you are under the effects of Cloak of Pain? Force Camo The utility that extends the duration of Force Camo, perhaps it should make you exit combat? That way you can jump in do your stuff, Camo out and "heal up". Doubt this would very overpowered. Always kind of annoying that once you lost health... it's gone. Kind of a poorman's combat reseter. On my juggernaut once I lose health, np I can ED and lots of other stuff and once I done all that I got ED up again Just some ideas and thoughts
  20. I would love some class balance being adressed no matter how they do it, or any information regarding their view on class balance in PvP at all. Personly I recon it's not really the lack of dialogue between the developers and the customers but information regarding this is non-existant. If everybody knew balance would be as it is today during S4, they could than judge "hmm this class looks good I'm gonna roll that one" but for now we have no idea if changes are coming, when they are coming and what kind of changes - drastic? minor but more often?

  22. Hey guys, Thanks alot for answering. It appears most of my concerns were due to inbalance in the mid-bracket. I've decided to stick with my lvl52 operative but I'm so exhausted on Makeb, Rishi and Yavin I'm gonna level it solely through pvp Sounds great fun with the burst and all in all, I really liked the playstyle and I rather focus on that than what is good atm. My main is a mara, so I know what it's like at the bottom On my server there's not that many operatives either which makes it more fun. Like, if you kill someone on sin most ppl think "omg sin op nerf" but if you kill them on operative? Dang got outplayed. I do have a question regarding defensive CD's other than Roll. I'll be concealment to get the practice in but when I play and get a bit low on HP, I roll away, kite and then... like so many defensive "small boosts" feels like I'm clicking stuff all the time without "doing anything". Hard to explain, but maybe you guys could help me on how to actually use the defensives/heals?
  23. Hey guys, I'm nearly full geared dark reaver on my main, need some minor min/maxing but thought I'd use commendations from daily/weekly to accomplish that. Now I am looking for a alt. Tried my lvl52 operative (leveled of c during 12x for story) and having a blast as concealment in WZ's. Sometimes I can stop 3-4 players for ages on capping. But my problem is I dont think I have any "burst" compared to other classes and also when being pressured I spend ALL my time doing defensive stuff. But man is roll fun or what? so many fun stuff with this and that concealskill that makes people unable to turn. So fun to annoy keyboard turners in pvp. Sometimes I dont even dmg them cause it's better to confuse the crap out of them than having them attack some ally of mine. So how is Operative at lvl60 pvp? Let's say full Exhumed gear. Which of the discipline paths do you recommend for PvP DPS? Looking for what the sustained dmg is, burst and surviveability (spelling) ?
  24. I agree, make Undying Rage give 50% health loss at start also. Maybe rename it Seppuku I dont know, perhaps if you die 10sec after Undying Rage players around the mara is blinded by all the gore and bloodsplatter from the mara so they are unable to perform actions but move for ... lets say while the cooldown ticks. Obviously this would be too good effect to put on enemy players, so put affect as buff on allies only, that way we get a incentive to actually kill the mara first.
  25. Guys isn't the answer quite obvious? It's the new legit wintrading. "Opposing team" signs maras and you get free win.
