  1. Besides being boring and a lazy developer ploy, dailys are nothing but cheap bottleneck at higher levels. While i understand the need for end game non raid content, this is not the way to do it. I do look forward to more progressive dynamic events that will have daily quest but as the days go on those quest should change and become progressivly harder leading to a large scale open world event.
  2. Why you no let us out of Port Nowhere. Pub side is DEAD. yes this is me crying. im sorry and im ashamed but im begging.
  3. Port Nowhere here and I'm glad it looks like we are not goig to The Fatman. To me P5 will have the playerbase that is enjoying the game and not complaining and jumping ship every minute. I just remember how everyone flock to Briarcliff in Rift at this same juncture and now its a lighter server. So to me going to P5 is a win.

  5. While Port Nowhere hasn't shown up yet, which it better, i am very glad to see things going smooth and organized. Again though i just hope fat man does become obese man with an intestinal blockage prime time!
  6. lol this is funny. like faction balance even matters. for pve it wont matter and for pvp it doesnt matter YET. I say yet because as they implement open pvp the difference will be more noticable. although i suggest sharding / instancing open world pvp areas to limit the numbers to avoid imbalance.
  7. You play on a dead server until they force merge. Also once a destination for an orgin server has been picked it will not change. What the mean by destinatination servers changing is they have a designated pool of servers as destinations. once those are full any new orgin server may be designated to a new destination server that was. ot in the original pool. The current destination server for Rakkata Mind Prison will not change.
  8. While i haven't transfered yet, I have seen alot of people saying it was fairly quick. Around 5-10 minutes.
  9. I cant believe the devs havent closed like 99% of these threads. There is so much misinformation being spread and the general ignorance on the whole server transfer is blinding. Yeah, only 8 servers on the first day is about 2 servers less then i expected, so maybe a little under expectations. But my god peope, if you would use a quater of if the ffort you make on these post you would of known this is exactly how they planned to do this.

  11. Holy cow. I just saw multiple standard and a few heavy european servers. could this crazy transfer thing be working? i think it was clearly ancient astronauts that made it possible
  12. Best post by far being all these falling sky posters clearly couldnt read that this is exactly how the deva said it would happen. small at first with gradual additions. How can ignorance be bliss when it cause so much mental pain to those who actuall follow the process. PLEASE READ THE DEV BLOG
  13. So even though it was my own stupidity i bought d3 without really looking at it. the game looks like warcraft. i was so pissed when i saw my demon hunter looked like an undead. where is the realistic look from d2? the game looks really bad to me. wish i didnt waist money on it.
  14. The main point is your problem was still caused by your own doing and in no way is biowares fault. Yeah it sucks that yu have characters on two different server types. I have people in my guild with the same issue. you just have to wait for more broad and selective transfers. Ive seen enough MMO launches to know not to do what you did. Not trying to be a jerk just pointing out the facts. As for character names i always have the same stance. If you truely care about character names the. yours should be unique to the point its not going to be an issue. My characters have fairly unique names that i have used in other games and never had an issue. Luckily my characters name is such an insignificant part of the game i will still enjoy it whether i keep my name or have to name him poopsicle.
  15. The problem with saber throw, although a cool idea, is that it could have to be coded and animated two different ways for sages and shadows. I personaly would like to see the projectile rip straight from the ground in front of me and bee line with no delay to the target. Alternate idea would be a force blast at the target with maybe some downward particle effect on the target and the ground crumble at their feet. My biggest dissapointment with the new animation is how its seems like it has no power.
  16. Just wondering what peoples thoughts are on flyin mounts. I thought this would be a very cool end game quest line people could do. I remember in rift people really balked at the idea but since the game is sci fi based i would expect them to be more acceptable. Also in Vanguard the griffon quest was very in depth require adventurig crafting and their third sphere of diplomacy. it was also a way to get gear equal or alightly less than endgame raid gear through pick up groups/ raids.
  17. Im sure developing endgame content is no easy task. While the daily commendation GRINDS do help pass the time, my guild and I find them boring. Are their any plans of moving away from this model. For example, a quest line for cultural armors that involve re-exploring planets for special overland bosses to gain unique looking weapons. Im not talking about just run and kill bob. Somethig more dynamic like a prison break event on belsalvis where one of 6 different people will escape and you need to kill them. If this is not in your design plan, would you ever consider something more engaging then rinse and repeat daily quest.
  18. First of all I am glad that the delay issue has been adressed. The burst on the republic side was equally as unfair as the ability to vanish and dodge it on the imp side. My question is why did you change it to what it is on PTS? To elaborate, why didnt Shock get altered to have an equal animation to damage delay, ie charging up? Also, was the current change on PTS easier, in terms of programing and animation, than just having a high speed chunk zip directly from the ground to the target? I ask these questions because alot of us on the forums agree that while the new animation works, it doesn't feel/look as powerful as before. A response would be greatly apreciated by the consular community and I.
  19. Its actually pretty easy. I find PVE fun, I have a good guild of casual and relatively sane people, I play gunnery commando and infiltration shadow in PVP and do very well. The real question is how you can continue to post and trash talk a game that you clearly don't like. Its like you have nothing better to do. Do you do this for all your games you dont like? People need to take a step back and realize SWTOR is what it is. If thats not enough then don't play. Its pretty simple. When you buy a car do you call and complain it doesnt have certain features? No, you either don't buy it or use the 30 day return policy most dealers have. At least in michigan we have that.
  20. Maybe I'm crazy for asking but has anyone even tried HM/NM Ops on PTS? (Hears crickets) Yeah, thats what I thought.
  21. Is it really that hard to post a guild MOTD saying transfer to server x or you are on you own. The only burden is peoples lazyness.
  22. Dear BioWare, Please o please continue these types of articles. It is nice to have the information on why things are done to the classes. In addition it helps us understand how the class is designed to play. I wish they would release more dev diaries like this.
  23. I have stuck with my shadow since launch. I will say he is about to get shelfed possibly for my Commando. Basicly Im full columi with rakata gloves and offhand. Our guild is finally feeling the hit of low server pop so what few recruits we have gotten just hit 50. There is a chance my Commando may out gear my shadow and possibly making him my main since we have alot of melee DPS as is and often missing either a healer or DPS.
