I know you asked for facts (which I dont think you'll find), but from my personal experience I can say that there are MULTIPLE cartel market sets that I would have gladly spent the cash on if I knew I had enough credits to use them. For my main, there are three sets I wish I could switch between. I've only bought two (one if which sits in the bank), but if it were cheaper to extract mods then I would have bought that third set by now and been switching through them all regularly. I dont mind augmenting each of the sets. I just don't want to pay a ridiculous amount of credits anytime I want to change my look. This is even more true for my alts. For example, my Trooper and all his companions would be wearing Stalwart Protector's if I didnt have to go through each one of them and extract the mods. Sure, I dont NEED to be able to switch between sets freely like this, but customizing characters is my favorite aspect of MMOs and I can 100% say that I would have spent more money in the CM if I could cheaply change my look between sets I already own. And I understand the concept of credit sinks, but IMO there are plenty of other places where this can happen (more legacy perks, vendors with luxury items, etc)

I would assume it's the same level as every other mount that doesnt specify in the tool tip. There are only a couple with a higher level of protection (like the recruit a friend vehicle that you can no longer get).

I dont have any experience on POT5, but I'm happy with the PvP on this server because Republic and Empire seem about equal in normal WZs. I play both factions regularly, and on both factions I've had relatively around the same amount of wins and losses. Some matches are competitive and in others one team gets completely stomped, but it at least seems to happen somewhat equally on both sides. And from what I've heard, we have more ranked teams here than any other server. I could be wrong on this though. Also very fast queue times. Near instant during most hours, never more than 5-10 minutes at other times.

I'm not a big fan of double blades either. If I had the option, I'd use a single blade on my Assassin (and probably play him a lot more too). I also wish I could use a rifle on all non force using classes.

I'm assuming the "You must be over level 10" message

I absolutely hate this idea, especially if it only costs $20 after the first time (like the OP suggested). If they do it at all, make it $100+ each time someone wants to change AC. This way, you'd have to really and truly want to change your AC to do it. Rerolling a different AC would still be a viable option because not everyone would be willing to spend $100 (including me). But if they were to come around and say that you can change AC for cheap or even free, then I would quit this game and never look back. Would make 2 of my characters feel worthless, and completely kill my incentive to play anymore alts (my favorite part of this game). Not only that, but there would be sooo many noobs running around who dont know how to play their AC. Most of the ACs are VERY different from each other. This part seems like common sense to anyone who's played the game for more than a few hours...

Solution to the constant calls for Content...
Tommot replied to OrionSol's topic in General Discussion
Considering the direction of this game, I dont see this ever happening. I really like the idea though. Instanced cities would work well on planets like Tattooine, Alderaan, and the capital worlds. -
If you think class balance is a problem now, then it will be a disaster if arenas come with 2.4. ESPECIALLY if they follow WoW with 2v2 and 3v3, but even 4v4 I could still see it becoming a major issue. Even Blizzard admits they regret implementing arenas because of this...

Zero at these prices

It makes perfect sense from Bioware's perspective. If they arent sold for say 6-12 months, then those items will become much more rare in the meantime. When they bring the packs back, I bet they sell nearly as good as a brand new pack would.

Is Portable Relaxation Unit a mount? I notice it's listed as its own category.

Really like that mint green crystal! I also like most of the mounts and weapons.

Please make Cartel Coin Pets & Mounts Account-Wide
Tommot replied to Jadza's topic in Cartel Market Suggestions
Maybe it works like the armor does where only certain pieces can be duplicated on other characters. I have many vehicles in collections now. For the ones I care most about (Lhosan Manta, Aratech Nethian, Gurian Lightning), I paid 60 credits each and can get them on all of my characters. -
The head pieces you're referring to will not put the hood down, but instead remove it all together. I bought the Valiant Jedi chest piece and every other piece as Eradicators, then dyed the chest piece black/black. It looks beautiful if you can afford it. (it doesn't work very well if you dye the entire Valiant Jedi set)

Agreed here too, and on female Aspring Knight particuarly
-
If it was in collections you wouldnt even have the choice of using credits. Not to mention, everything in collections is items/vehicles, so it wouldnt really fit well there. I do agree that 1 mil for every character is a bit steep though. That quest is not fun to repeat. With your suggestion, I think "global unlocks" on the legacy tab would be a good place for it to be.

server transfers.. for cartel coins?
Tommot replied to Darthflowmotion's topic in General Discussion
I was making that assumption based on the fact that they ARE giving us the one free rename. But really what I was saying is that there's no way we'll get a free LEGACY transfer. -
server transfers.. for cartel coins?
Tommot replied to Darthflowmotion's topic in General Discussion
I think we'll get a free single character transfer at most, but possibly not even that. My guesses on what we'll actually see: Single character transfer - 1200 CC Legacy transfer (up to 12) - 4000 CC -
I bought a Black on Black dye for 5K on the GTN...
Tommot replied to Galbatorrix's topic in General Discussion
This isnt nearly as good as Black/Black for 5k, but I got all my account wide inventory unlocks for a price that undercut the lowest character wide unlock (all the same seller, of course) -
There are no PvP objectives for these quests because of what initially happened on Illum with kill trading. Despite this, they are still 100% PvP quests. Why? Simply because they're labeled as such and provide PvP rewards. If that area was not a PvP zone, then Charging the Pylons would be incredibly easy and boring. The challenge is added because there ARE other people there who want to kill you. If you only want to do PvE, there are plenty of PvE only Gree quests. If you only want to do PvP, then you have that option too. If you're like me and want to do both, then you can play it all. Makes perfect sense IMO. Dont go stepping on everyone elses fun just because you dont like to PvP when it's not like there's anyone there forcing you to do it. IMO, the OP is more of a troll than the people who go to PvP zones just to kill people.

This, SWG, and WoW

If those are all the main features of 2.2, then it sounds like it should have been a minor patch (such as 2.1.2) and not one of the big game updates. 2.3 sounds awesome. I hope "New Flashpoints" means they're actually new and not just HM Collicoid or something. New daily area and new recurring event sound great. Hopefully this means the story beyond Makeb will continue. 2.4 will naturally be what I'm looking forward to the most. I'm guessing Season 1 of ranked and a new Warzone. Hopefully we can also get cross server queues for ranked too. This should have been sooner, but if it's fun content I wont complain. I must say though, I think it's really strange how you guys skip over what people are requesting most. And why make that blog about the guild updates coming when all it is is a slight increase in rep and xp? I think a lot of people were at least expecting the little things that make a big impact like guild calendars and guild UI features. And I'm glad I dont run Ops because it looks like 2.5 will be the SOONEST time for an actual new one. I bet this causes us to lose some people...

Moving on! What new companion would you like.
Tommot replied to UltimateKrucible's topic in General Discussion
I've thought about this before and thought about several ideas: 1. An ex Sith for the Republic and an ex Jedi for the Empire. The recruitment stories could be about their defection. 2. A Wookie for everyone. Recruited in an expansion on Kashyyyk. Lightside the Wookie becomes a best friend (like Han Solo/Chewbacca), Darkside the Wookie becomes your slave and you force him to do evil things. 3. This one is a bit of a unique response - Different droids. There could be three types (tank, heal, damage), and Bioware could sell different models on the CM with the only differences being aesthetics. Then bring back companion deaths. -
Makeb / GSI Rep Trophy - Unable to sell at max reputation
Tommot replied to Polstar's topic in General Discussion
Well that's what the OP is asking for, so yeah... -
Can we finally get an answer on hood toggle please?
Tommot replied to Brutus's topic in General Discussion
I want this more than any possible cosmetic feature. Even a response of "soon" or "not so soon" would be nice. And as stupid as it sounds, I would even pay money just to lower my hood.
