  1. I'm having this problem as well. I waited it out once and got a message saying my account isn't authorized to play on their servers...
  2. This is a straw man complaint. Why are you taking away our ability to gear our companions the way we want, to do the role we want them to do? - They arent. Now all companions can choose between three specs (DPS, Tank, Heal) How are you going to make them be healers, tanks and dps AND PVP at the same time? - They never said they would do that So what if I want to put PVP gear and PVE gear in my companions and min/max them, Everyone else has that same option to do so if they aren't lazy. - Companion gear is only used for aesthetics in the expansion. Stats scale with level (and presence?). Are you changing their abilities, giving them more abilities / cluttering up my screen realestate with more hotbars for them, what? - More options is a good thing I don't like that I am going to have the possibility of losing my companion / companions in my story line due to conversation choices I make without being able to know about it to prevent it. I could be loosing my favorite companion to use in my story line. - Bioware has told us we would not lose any of our companions. A companion might leave us "story wise", but they will continue to exist as they do today. So if you decide to kill Lana in the expansion, you'll still have her as an option outside story missions. This will probably cause me to wait to play any of KotFE until players post and reveal options on YouTube which is disappointing. - Good reasons
  3. How is this even a debate? In everything they've said, there is no room for interpretation. It's just Episodes I-VI and The Clone Wars, everything else is non-cannon.
  4. Seriously...I couldn't believe this wasn't in at launch. The fact that it still isn't is just pathetic. IMO, this is the main reason some people say this game doesn't feel like Star Wars. Before launch, I remember seeing dev blogs bragging about how great the music is in this game. In reality, it's the quietest game I've ever played. What the hell happened?
  5. No matter where you logout, you still gain rested XP. It's just at a much faster rate when you logout in a cantina or major city.
  6. I think OP misinterpreted the article. Team Fortress 2 made $139 million, with SWTOR being a little less. These figures are also based on micro transactions ONLY. Meaning the revenue made from subs is not included.
  7. I'm not sure how that would have helped... But yes, they constantly add and remove the black/white dyes from the CM. No telling when you'll see it again, and Bioware wont announce it when they do.
  8. When I first saw those robes, I thought to myself "no way that's what he's referring to." Nearly a year later, I've accepted that it probably was. It's funny though. I'd probably rather have traditional robes more than Galactic Starfighter.
  9. I wish I was in the middle of watching Breaking Bad for the first time. It just keeps getting better so hold on tight.
  10. I think the Emperor would actually work really well as the next big enemy. Given what we know about his end goals, it would make perfect sense for the Empire to oppose him (as well as the Republic, of course).
  11. You're a bit late to the party. It happened in 2.0. I dont remember exactly what BIoware's reasoning was, but it had something to do with it supposedly being OP in PvP.
  12. I completely forgot about this! Hopefully it's still in the works.
  13. It's because a lot of people only go to forums like this when they have an issue or something to complain about. This is very apparent when a server goes down or something. People get kicked out of their game, so obviously the first place they go to is the forums. It's much more rare for someone to go out of their way just to say they are happy with a service. I'm sure most of the fanbase enjoys the game just as much as you and me. IMO people seem MUCH happier in-game than they do on these forums. Almost like it's two completely different communities.
  14. 500 free CC on top of my monthly stipend this month is awesome. Very happy about that. Especially since I didnt have to do ANYTHING AT ALL to get them. I'm really curious why the new item is there for only one day though. There are going to be some really upset people who miss buying the item after that day passes. If you're giving us a free gift for being subscribers, why make it so easy for people to miss? It just seems like such a strange strategy which will obviously cause unintended backlash.
  15. It's beyond me how you can deduce that much about a person based on that one post. Maybe some of us would rather "work hard" in other aspects of life, and just enjoy the little time we have to play video games.
  16. Well said. This is what a lot of people have trouble understanding. There are a lot of different people playing this game and the majority of us have a limited time schedule. Personally, my time is very limited and I have to do a lot of traveling with varying work hours, so participating in an ops/ranked wz guild isnt really an option for me (I cant have a set schedule). Targeting only a minority (the hardcore) with new content is just a silly idea conceptually. Especially since this game has always been targeted towards a large demographic (unlike other games, which are clearly made for hardcore players).
  17. It's my guess that this is their eventual plan. They just need to have enough recurring events created so this can happen. Right now they can rotate between the Gree, the bounty hunting, and double xp. With just those three events, we would probably be seeing them too often for it to work. After Bioware has created more, I bet there will almost always be an event going on. Just a prediction of course. I think it makes sense and would like to see it work that way.
  18. I travel a lot for work and use the internet in hotels to play all the time. It's possible you get a room that doesnt get a strong wifi connection, but you should be able to use an Ethernet port and play just fine. So as long as "Candlewood Inn and Suites" is a modern hotel with high speed internet access, you should be fine.
  19. It's referring to your companion's healing. And in regards to your first question, it depends on the class/companion. I'm pretty sure you need to at least be in act 3 to finish any of them, but some require you to be at a certain point in act 3. For example, one of the Jedi Knight companions actually requires you to complete your final class quest before you can get the last conversation. The reason being is that the conversation refers to the final events in your class story.
  20. The majority of people havent played all 8 class stories. It's saying to try a class story that's new for YOU.
  21. I enjoyed reading your suggestions. Here are my opinions on your thoughts: 1. Couldn’t agree more. 2. Any suggestions? If all servers were PvE or all servers were PvP, there will be a lot of upset people. Because we have multiple servers to choose from, I don’t see any reason why there SHOULDN’T be different rule types. Unless you have some great suggestion that I just can’t think of. 3. This sounds waaaay too costly. Especially if you consider that if they add a new voice to one of the classes, then they need to add a new one to all of them. This is also true for the different genders and languages. 8 classes, 2 genders, and 3 languages. Do the math. That is A LOT of recording just to have a second choice in your character’s voice. Even if they only did this on the English servers, it would still be ridiculous. 4. Agreed, it sucks. IMO it would be smart for Bioware to update this so it doesn’t scare off new players from trying the game, but it isn’t be a big deal to most of us since we have the interface editor. 5. Think it’s already too late/costly. The only way I could see this happening is if they do implement it like a Death Knight in WoW where you start at a higher level. This would actually work perfectly if they added a “Voss Mystic” class (where your story starts off right after Voss is discovered by the greater galaxy). 6. That’s not how the game was created. It would require a complete overhaul of everything and would probably upset more people than make happy. This sounds more like a suggestion for the “next” Star Wars MMO. 7. Same as above. The game just wasn’t designed like that.
  22. Those are pretty much all facts. If you got a video card based only on the specifications you provided (with no knowledge of anything else about the card), and it runs well, then you just got lucky with the card you happened to pick. The OP or someone else reading your advice might not be so lucky.
