  1. TL : DR Everyone has a different degree to where they will switch sides or stop pvp'n all together where most of the bad players wouldn't go to such lengths because they don't really care that much about it in the 1st place. 55-45 - effects a very small amount of people that starts to tip the scales 60-40 adds another small group 70-30 ands another small group which together with the previous groups, is now a large group 80-20 flood gates are open 90-10 only ones left are the stubborn or those that don't care.
  2. Now look up what positive feedback is. Yes even if one side had 60% of the population and everyone was average, people will still have 50-50 win ration on average. But then you have a small population who are really into pvp and might be good... they might want a slight edge and hangout with the other better players starting the reaction. And also one side just might be slightly better than the other site at start. That might shift the wins even slightly to 55%-45%, which isn't troubling First you have mostly super pvp casuals who pvp just to have fun (and they may even be good pvpers or people who may switch to hardcore if they get into it later). These are people who don't put pvp as their top priority when determining what fraction or server to pick nor will they even consider to reroll because it's not that serious to them. They are also the type of person who won't ask much questions about the pvp stats. They make up the bulk of those numbers on both sides and it won't effect them at first. This group also has most of the bad players. Then you have the non casuals who are generally better than the super casuals on average- Some of them might be late comers who are really into pvp and might ask around to see which side wins the most on a server they like to play on before joining the side. They might also bring friends with them from other games or servers adding more skill to one side. Turning that 55-45 into maybe 60-40 Then you get people who want to win more than they lose and can't take 60-40 so they turn coat and turn that into 70-30. Then you get people who are completed disgusted with 70-30 and can't take it anymore and turn coat making it 80-20 And even then, you might get super casuals who, after done all the PvE or get bored with it might decide to not to be so casual with PvP anymore (you have to have some major desire to play under those conditions). But once they see that it's 80-20 and can see how it would take them forever to advance under those conditions, they will turn sides or don't pvp all together. Turning that 80-20 into 90-10
  3. Obvious troll. How can you talk like you know everything in earlier post but come and say you are new and inexperienced? And your logic wouldn't even make sense if your argument would be that individual skill means the most when a noobie that doesn't know what he's doing can win at least half of his games. You probably on the winning faction on a imbalanced server getting carried.
  4. I'm glad half of you are not trolling by acting like it's not real. There is an easy fix to the issue like I stated before... MMR!!! The star fighter PVP showed me how easy it could be. Just give everyone ratings and match Imp vs Pubs at similar ratings. If for some reason that there are more of one fraction that would make queues longer, make that fraction fight each other in "practice mode" just like you do in star fighter. BAM!!! fraction imbalances are completely gone.
  5. Faction PvP. It's so completely stupid. It's always one side that completely dominates the other, which also makes people reroll fractions just to get on the side that always win (which makes the problem even worst). And what makes it more stupid is that the game rewards people for winning despite how stack the odds are. I call back the depression WoW gave in the years I played it. Horde damn near won like 90% of their games it felt on most servers. It could take you all damn day to try to get PvP dailies when a horde player could probably do them in an hour. I remember a got into that game with a group of friends who migrated to WoW. I got to near max level and all my friends switched sides just so they can actually win pvp games. I didn't feel like I should have to throw away all the time I invested in my characters just so I could enjoy pvp games more. Fast Forwards years later and I'm having the same frustration in SWTOR. Damn Pubs own the IMPs all day long and get twice the rewards from pvp'n for it. After trying to get back into SWTOR, I come to appreciate match making in other pvp games. /rant There should be an MMR in solo queue pvp. After playing league of legends for years, I can't settle for anything less.
  6. What about skarge(?), the melee tank companion for BH. Haven't seen him either.
  7. I built my scout for speed (not turning) and evasion. Since I went speed, I feel that even as a scout, I don't turn fast enough to stay on someone's tail good enough to use a low firing arc weapon. With a high arc weapon, I figured I can just do flybys in mostly a str8 line with full speed, hitting anything I can hit and then turn around to do it again... but I seem to miss a lot doing that and also don't do a lot of damage. I'm getting close to having to decide because most stuff is already upgraded. /blogpost
  8. How far out you can spot someone. Having a high range means no one can really sneak up on you and you can see those gunships sniping far out.
  9. seriously...count the fly time out of the spawn point and past your defense turrets. Repubs turrets extend far out past the imps. My post has nothing to do with reach point B faster, which most of you seem to think I meant.
  10. I was just gonna edit and asked what tracking accuracy is too lol. Thanks
  11. I'm guessing it make it means how big the target circle is?
  12. It doesn't make you go faster, but you can't get to a point from full speed on just one bar of engine without it. It extends the duration that you can boost by a lot.
  13. Did you turn on engine power conversion? You probably won't beat the gun ship if he did the same thing and you didn't
  14. Or to click on chat. Or to mouse over your abilities on the map screen.
  15. I'm not talking about the spawn. Talking about the ship defenses and how the map heavily favors cheesy snipe run tactics by pub gunships. Everyone I seen do that rack up tons and tons of kills with little to no threat to themselves.
