  1. But the community wanted LFG more. Also, they said Dual-Specs were coming, just later on. Why would they mention something that they have already said won't be in for a bit?
  2. Think you misread it, it looks to me you would just have to upgrade the augment slot is all
  3. I would agree with you IF the vanity item could also be attained in game. Having it be cash shop only is a bit much.
  4. Prepare to be flamed for saying anything positive directed at BioWare, also, you will be called BioDrone or Fanboy (probably both) ...
  5. Because if they gave specifics and something changes (which happens in the real world) then the forums would be spammed with "WTFBBQ U PROMISED US XXXXX ON YY/YY/YYYY AND IT IS NOW 12.01AM ON YY/YY/YYYY AND YOU HAVEN'T PUT IT IN, YOU ARE ALL INCOMPETENT AND DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT BUSINESS!!!" or some other "i-am-a-shift-leader-at-McDonald's-so-know-all-about-the-business-world" whiney post ... Basically, you can thank the internet and the "now now now, me me me" kiddies on it for no gaming company giving out exact info on anything ... A great example of these types of people can easily be found in this thread BTW
  6. Kind of ... Every time you try you RE something, it has a 20% CHANCE of learning something. It is very possible to throw dice (d100) 10, 15, 20 times in a row and NEVER roll under 20%, which is what the computer is basically doing for you every time you RE something. Sadly, a computer is even more random than actually throwing of the dice since it does not have variables to take into account (surface dice is thrown on, weight of dice, size of dice, etc ...) ... But yes, statistically, you should see something learned 1 out of 5 tries. At the same time, a person has a chance to win the lottery, say 1 in 10,000,000, statistically, if 10 million tickets are sold, someone should win, this does not always happen as we have seen many times
  7. They will be giving you a list of servers we can transfer to. Letting people just pick whichever server they want is not reasonable, they want to get multiple strong servers going, not have 1 server that runs with 4 hour queues .... This is probably the reason they have not offered server transfers yet, they need to make sure issues like same names/name changing work, guilds can move without them losing stuff/members, legacy moves properly, etc ... Most MMOs that offer server transfers only worry about moving a single character, not entire guilds.
  8. Technically she wasn't, she was a force-sensitive person due to her family ties (Anakin/Vader) but she wasn't really Jedi, at least in regards to the movies. If you go by the expanded universe lore, she would not take her Jedi training until years after the events in Return of the Jedi when Palpatine's clone emerges to try and take over again. A good, short answer, link for this is: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20090325231627AA3qYzU A longer explanation for her is here: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Leia_Organa_Solo
  9. Why wouldn't you ... she is supposed to be your apprentice
  10. The only thing that matters is the hilt on MODable lightsabers. You always want the highest damaging saber in your main hand. If it is MODable (or even if it isn't) all other stats on the off-hand saber are applied normally with no reduction, just damage is reduced on the off-hand.
  11. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ This ... They won't be trying to spread people out, they will be trying to consolidate them. To do this it will probably be something more along the lines of: Servers A B C D E have free transfers to Server F I also doubt that they will be having Transfers (free or paid) to already Full Servers (like Fatman) as there is no point in giving an already very populated/active server more people
  12. Who is "they" and where did you get this info? I usually try to avoid taking anything I see posted on these forums by players or what I hear from people in general on my server as hearsay. Especially on these forums though unless the person posts a link to a reputable source since many a hater will just pick the parts of something that heard, twist it around until they get mad about it, then post it in such a way as to try to start a bandwagon
  13. There are a bunch of orange sets in the game I really like as well. My problem is the 40k+ to move a single mod from 1 piece of armor to the other =( I am not sure when BW suddenly decided we are all VERY wealthy in the game but with the legacy stuff AND the cost of extracting a mod, they seem to have the idea we all have millions of creds =(
  14. I do not disagree with you, I am just hoping that things get moving better with SWTOR. I remember the first year of WoW blew chunks, bugs, all content on farm for months, etc ... but it got better. I just hope SWTOR does also =)
  15. As opposed to all thew whinny little players that know everything about coding/programming and running a multi-national, multi-million dollar company. I seriously have never seen a forum with more CEOs, CIOs, CFOs on it. I thought WoW's forums were bad, they are nothing compared to these .... Oh and DEVs, forgot about all the software developers on these forums, can't leave that out.
  16. No but sense the V/K system has no way of knowing if a person is getting kicked for doing nothing but running in a circle or that others just want their buddy in the same game with them, it has to be made to only kick AFKers or it would be abused. Sadly, they have yet to come up with a computer that can make it's own judgement calls ...
  17. Since I find it difficult to believe that a company like BW are completely stupid (regardless of what all the arm chair DEVs on these boards might want to think), I am confident they know the state of their own game. I would also hazzard a guess they are not sitting around joking and drinking a coke and ignoring the issue as they want to make money, they are a business after-all. Because I have half-a-brain and can see this, it makes me think that they have not merged the servers for other reasons than the conspiratorial "they are trying to get more money". They want the game to last, they know they need to let people move on servers, they have even said it is a priority and they are working on it. I am sure the very moment they can do it, without it getting all wrecked, they are going to. Now, I know there is going to be posts of "they are doing this on purpose" which is pretty dumb and just shows that those that post that, have little to no business knowledge or sense with the extent of their business savvy coming from whatever part-time fry-cook or bag-boy experience they might have. To even begin to think that they are just worrying about the short-term of this MMO with the hopes of sucking cash from people only in a burst, borderlines on such absurdity, it is hard to comprehend that that those that think this can even dress themselves in the morning ....
  18. Yes, because dumping legacy will suddenly make the code for server transfers appear !! I don't know why BW didn't think of that !!
  19. Right now, I'd rather they fix bugs and add content instead of worrying about coding new cosmetic stuff, especially since I have a ship.
  20. They appear to be for some people looking at the posts of on the forums about it. I even saw a couple "Not having my matrix cube makes me never want to play this game again" posts ... The sad thing is, BW is in a no win situation, no matter when they do maintenance, it is going to affect someone's somewhere play times and they will come here and cry about it. If they wait to patch, people come here to cry, if they patch now, people come here to cry, if they post they are working on an issue, people come here to cry it isn't fast enough, if they don't post they are working on it, people come here to cry that BW is ignoring them, it is pathetic really ...
  21. It would have been funnier if he was original and not just reposting something said by other posters 5 months ago =)
  22. Most of the doom&gloomers here do not understand that companies the size of EA have more than 1 department and/or not everyone that works for the company can all do each others jobs. They also do not understand that, although owned by EA, Bioware has it's own development team for SWTOR that has nothing to do with the SIMs that is worked on by an EA dev group. Trying to explain this to some of the posters here amounts to about the same as trying to herd hundreds cats with a hair dryer ...
  23. Ahhh, I never said I didn't care, I am 100% for server transfers/mergers. I was just pointing out, in a round about way, that it seems anytime anyone posts anything positive about SWTOR, either about the game or about their server, they immediately get attacked or are called fanboy just because they are enjoying themselves in the game. It is actually a pretty pathetic sign of where the world is going and, deep down, I weep for the future generation of people/countries everywhere
