  1. As an original Collector Edition owner and been in and around the game since its launch back in 2011 I find that the Collector Vendor has been very neglected, I think the CE Vendo should sell the season rewards without the need for "tokens" but add Credit amount to them. The items have been the same on offer since day one, so please DEV team update the inventory
  2. Hello I have placed a ticket in game for support from the customer service team but alas they were as useful as a chocolate fireguard and said the following can not be responded to because it would break spoiler policy.... Situation: - Running around doing the Balmora Bonus series quests I completed the one called "Nowhere to Run" and the game did not recognise that I had completed this quest to move forward with the Bonus chain and now the NPC that hands out the quest as the Blue Triangle above his head and it certainly is not repeatable. So now I am stuck on the bonus series chain because the CSR who rightly stated that I had completed the quest would not press a simple button to progress my character. So forum I come to you and let you all have fun finding new and exciting ways in which this quest can be progressed when you already have done what it asks for..... Thanks CSR for being a total waste of time in the matter
  3. Again too little to late. CXP for normal questing away from heroics, flashpoints, boredom (aka uprisings), Ops and WZ as been totally left behind in the dust . Simply put your system is anti new Lv 70s that want to use their time running quests, instead you force them into unlimited pvp and black talon farm. Above is not even close enough to call SWTOR my main MMO atm
  4. Recently shifted over to FF14 in my week or so playing that I have found the following distractions quite useful 1. Main story chain 2. Class story chain to get additional skills unique to the role 3. Fates (open world events which last 20min or so, kill any amount of mobs and get rewarded for doing it) 4. No need for alts as one character can pretty much do all so you are rewarded for being one character 5. I have spent the last 2 days Chocobo racing! think of Swoop racing on a large chicken! somethingTOR could have added but alas couldn't be arsed. Granted some of the complexity of this game is that it runs on a far more superior game engine which allows for stunningly beautiful graphics. Oh and not mention the shed load of content to work through from 4 man to 24 man content. The rewards in a dungeon are obviously RNG but hey that doesnt matter because you can get gear in 3 ways! Standard gear can be obtained doing any number of side quests, crafting and buying from vendor, the better gear drops from the better bosses as you progress along. All in all the team behind FF14 have proven on multiple levels that they are listening to their paying customers, by taking down FF14 when people complained about how broken it was to release A Realm Reborn and making it one of the best MMOs I have played in a very long time. I see shades of Galaxies, I see shades of WoW but it is fueled and looks after the Final Fantasy lore much better than currently done by EA/BW. So TOR just became my 2nd MMO now due to the 5.0 and your inability to understand your playerbase, and FF14 will be my main. Shame to leave a SW title behind but to alter Padmé line in Revenge of the Sith " I don't know you anymore. SWTOR, you're breaking my heart. You're going down a path I can't follow."
  5. I am sorry 1 Operation Boss with 4 more "planned" to be released over 12 months is simply not good enough in any stretch of the imagination. You had 2 month of making "uprisings" which could have been spent developing this Operation! This is another now well opaque way to make us Subs stay with you for the long term, and the title of 5.1 Defender of the Throne.... You mean defender of 5.0 because again you clearly have not listened to those that are affected by these updates. The rate in which you gain CXP is tragically bad for anyone doing Quest such as main quest chain, Daily Quests and Heroics (and since alts now hit cap at around Taris if you do everything) you would get 1 rank in around 9hrs of gaming! 9 sodding hours! not everyone wants to live in a Flashpoint or a Warzone! Let me put it another way for you, an Uprising can be done in 20mins, you can do 3 in an hour so in the same time it as taken someone to earn your gosh darn grind level someone as completed 27 Uprisings and altered their bar more than 3 or 4 times in that time! Oh, to show how much more screwed up your system is, in that 9hrs you will have needed to complete well over 100 quests! yea good luck finding over 100 quests to do on one planet as you level and spend your working hours not even denting the bloody thing! Then you come up with a system that is more complicated that the original system you removed! all to benefit what? you precious uprisings and your job? clearly you are not capable of doing it to a degree that can keep a player base let alone a subscription base believe in your content! You sat their smugly tonight and again used you Exciting and Fun terminology to describe the clusterf**** that is 5.0. When I returned to the game in September I was impressed with how the game had developed in my 2 yrs absence, and was excited to get back into the game and progress, even brought along friends who used to play this game back then too and we formed our guild with the aim to run the content and see the Ops again and get the gear using the tokens. The game in its state worked! ok there were bugs but nothing is bug free and it was "Exiting" and "Fun" to play TOR then you lot decide in your moronic wisdom to release 5.0 were - Companions lag so far behind they let you die, if they aren’t sooo far behind you can’t tell if they are under the floor or flying in the sky it is beyond the joke to try run with a companion these days! - You introduce a system to get gear that literally as to be the worst thing since John Smedley dropped NGE on SWG and to make matters worse you make crafters only make one set below the entry cap to SM Ops! - Unless you’re a Cybertech you can kiss getting a schematic drop for you in an Operation, again your RNG system at it finest! - The command crate random drop rate is so far screwed up that after 50 levels of getting sod and all when back in the day the amount of content I had ran thus far would have rewarded a better rate. - You push Jawa scrap at every turn you the Jawa vendors don't even have Grade 10 items which would be useful since you guys couldn’t be arsed to make open world planets anymore which drooped material spawns, now we have to either send 1 of 40 companions out (and only use 8, why have 40 companions when you can only use 8), run a dungeon with friends that like to wait as you clean up the place or end up using GTN and the over inflated prices. Somewhere in the time between September and December you guys lost the plot and I am pretty sure now a lot of the subscriber that are left are losing their patients with you mishandling the game. It is a real shame that I may have to join those ditching their subs soon because I honestly don’t believe you are working on the right steps to make this game great again. You made out that tonight livestream would be about Ops and Endgame content you spent more time talking about Story content which is NOT end game content, talking about Master Uprisings which no one cares about and then telling us you half arsed made oh wait made give this thing too much credit you have a plan to release a build-a-op which will come in monthly parts Hell have you turned into one of those magazines you subscribe to, you can have this Operation in 100 episodes! Seriously it is pathetic and beyond the joke now that you 3 are even still employed! It is time SW and BW had someone in charge of the development team that have a sodding clue what they are doing and are in touch with reality and what their player base want. I hear FF XIV is doing well these day and as more content in it than this as and it only relaunched 2 years ago the same time you last did anything decent for endgame
  6. Will we get compensated.... HAHAHAHAHA will we hell! When in doubt screw over the EU lot
  7. Well way to go and kill off UK player times! thanks a whole bunch there BioWare, what did you managed to fk up this time
  8. Shae wearing armour we want her to wear was not damaging the game in any shape or form, seriously Eric and the Dev team! It wasn't like the gear would play any part of her overall stats since du'h the system isn't set like that anymore, what you have done is removed the nose to spite the face! That is a poor example of running a game, you might as well just make ALL the sodding companion none customizable since clearly you have no reasoning to give us the players what we would like in the game.....
  9. Seems to be the biggest issue with the current team... Maybe with some of the money you earn from Subs and Cartel Market your entire team be sent of a Communications Training Course
  10. Only 25, I have gone from rank 30 to rank 82 with not even a set bonus appearing...
  11. Why do PVPers expect better? PVP is not the main game nor as it ever really been the main driving force of the game, it as always been like Operations something to do once you had completed the main game. Just because you choose to play more PVP than do actual group PVE content why should you be reward better for gaining gear? At least with the PVE tokens there is a reason to get them, you work as a group to over come difficult opposition, you gain a true team building experience and achieve something, whereas in PVP you achieve your "greatness" by finding which "class" as been given the better stats and then take the advantage. I think the system is fair enough, if you truly spend your life on this game queueing for Warzones then the amount of components needed will be easily achievable. Remember for the casual PVPer this probably would help because again you need to dedicate yourself to the task in hand, but also in PVP you are already earning one of the highest CXP gains there anyway so the RNG gods could well and truly smile on you before you even get close to a Tier token which means by the time your heading into the T2/T3 slots you will have amassed a collection of these tokens.
  12. Considering the nature of 70 being about Subscription only you will probably get the tokens, however, it will probably say Restriction: Active Subscription Required to Use
  13. It goes a little way into sorting out the biggest of gripes with CXP but doesn't deal with the rate at which we gain the points. I am rank 81 and if they are generous enough to give 5 per level I should get 405 tokens which should be ample enough to buy the T2 stuff as and when. But mainly we are doing Progress Ops atm through SM in my Guild (fairly new guild) so we will have the "final boss" perk to try and get more people interested to show up
  14. Here is my take on how this new system could be better for all Changes to Points Daily - Heroic Quests Weekly Quest - 250 points Quest - 30 points Bonus - 20 points Champions - 20 points Gold - 5 points Silver - 1 point This will make doing Daily and Heroic quests useful and meaningful again FPs, Uprising, Ops Weekly Quest - 500 points Quest - 50 points Bonus - 30 points Champions - 20 points Gold - 5 points Silver - 1 point This will attract more players to run group content Warzones Unranked Weekly - 200 points Ranked Weekly - 400 points Unranked Daily 50 points Ranked Daily - 100 points Unranked Win - 200 points Ranked Win - 400 points Were XP can't be issued after reaching Level 70 Lore Object - 20 points Dataron - 50 points Legacy Achievement - 100 points Changes to Galactic Command Rank Command Rank - Legacy wide Command Stash - Legacy wide (Like Cartel Market stash) Changes to Bonus The bonus will be 1 week rotation it will start Week 1 - Daily / Heroic Weekly Quest regardless how you obtain the quest Week 2 - Flashpoints (Any Difficulty) Week 3 - Operations (Any Difficulty) Week 4 - Warzone Week 5 - Galactic Starfighter Week 6 - Uprisings Speculation Changed Gear Tokens Head - Final boss Eternity Vault Chest - Final boss Karagga's Palace Braces - Finla boss Explosive Conflict Gloves - Final boss - Terror from Beyond Belt - Scum & Villainy Pants - Final boss Dread Fortress Boots - Final boss Dread Palace Main Hand - Final boss The Ravagers Off Hand - Final boss Temple of Sacrifice Relic , Implant, Ear Piece - Can drop from any boss up to the final boss. Then then final boss will drop either one of the three items in addition to the Set piece. This will make running Operation viable and players know exactly where they need to go to get their equipment Command Tokens 1 Token per level 20 tokens upon reaching Rank 2 40 tokens upon reaching Rank 3
  15. The love for this game I have since launch, and coming back from my break from gaming in dwindling fast. We are doing progress Ops runs weekly as a newish guild to server but the lack of meaningful content to do between Ops is minnimal. Galactic Command as ruined the gaming experience on SWTOR and I honestly don't know how much more of this sh.t I can deal with. 4.0 was great you could run the Operations, Flashpoints and doing Heroics to get the gear sorted ready to run the Operations, now some of the guild are there gear wise, others are miles out and its down to this f'ked up system. So in the 26th Livestream they better not spout out anymore about "uprisings" they are watered down 4 man content that are boring and can be done in 15mins! Added additional difficulty means the mobs don't grow intelligence they just have more HP and hit harder ..... I would like to see new 4 man Flashpoints and 8-16 Man Operations based on the current state of the galaxy. As to cancel my 5yr long subscription I don't honestly know... It is Star Wars and to me being a huge fan that is what draws me here, had this been another MMO I would have been long gone already
  16. Yup everytime I spoke to the Hutt he moaned about Broonmark
  17. I would suggest doing the following; 1. Go to C:/Program Files (x86)/Electronic Arts/BioWare and copy the Star Wars - The Old Republic folder and save to desktop 2. Start - Run - Control Panel open File Explorer Options then View tab and tick the one that says "Show Hidden Files" 3. C:/Users/[user]/AppData/Local once here save copy the two SWTOR folders to desktop 4. Uninstall SWTOR 5. Install SWTOR but dont launch the game 6. Go back to the Program Files folder and copy the saved folder back into the BioWare folder replacing the fresh install. 7. Now launch SWTOR to character screen then exit the game to windows 8. Move the two SWTOR folders back into the AppData folder replacing the newly created ones 9. Launch the game again By doing this you are resetting the "registry files for the game" and still keeping your UIs etc the way you had them before. Hope this helps
  18. Dying MMO This one is a tough one to call, yes there are certainly some shady business practices being taken by the EA/BW lot when it comes to SWTOR. The game they announced before launch is a lot different to how it currently sits. The empty or low server caps seem to be isolated to a few servers, with major hubs like The Red Eclipse still booming with life in the major player gathering area (Fleet, Dromund Kaas etc) but when out in the vastness of open world you can go hours without bumping into other players. Infact the only interaction you see with other players is when your doing the heroics. But back in the day the planets (except Makeb) would have similar go hours before bumping into each other, I found back in the launch days it was more populated on the Republic side than it was Imperial. Define Dying * The lack of content released at a pace that would satisfy the player base * The lack of rewarding things to do after reaching level cap * A Gear system that no one wanted and was forced upon us and ruined end game. BW and EA need to look back into history to see why the community feels the need to make post after post about the "this game is dying" you are not the first OP since this as been said since the launch time when BW had to make the game F2P to save player numbers. Alienating the player base by constantly going against the flow of the tide as left lots of player disenfranchised by SWTOR and have left for WOW, FF XIV and other MMOs there are hundreds of games that cater for other player niche needs. SWG suffered similar fate after releasing what should have been the best expansion "Trials of Obi-Wan" and instead a day later they announced the **** stormt that would come two weeks later which crippled the player base to the point it wasn't worth it anymore. With that said SWG managed to last 8 years in total even after the momunmental clusterf'k so there is chance that BWEA could turn the situation around by activly listening to their customer base and not try to force feed us the game that Ben wants us to play. So if after the 26th Livestream they do not announce any meaningful 8-16man Operations content and 4 man actual Flashpoints then yes you can say this game is being given its wind down order as they will release the most cost effective dribble until the plug is pulled or the subscriber levels crash to the point were EA have to explain to Lucas why their IP is less favourable on the market. Saving Factors SWTOR as a very strong niche hold on the market as it is, with an excallent 1-50 story campaign which is free to play it will always drag players into the game simply because playing all 8 characters makes you KOTOR 3 in effect. Visually the game is nice, the classes (away from pvp) are fine, they hold up well against mobs you come across, like any MMO class balance in PVP is screwy, but dont be fooled if you want a true PVP experience go play a First Person Shoot made before the stupid "perks" of Call of Duty, I am talking back in the days of Delta Force because that is the only time you will ever see a true balance in a PVP arena. The brand name itself is enough of a pulling power, no matter what EA/BW do now until the day they actually close the game, it is a Star Wars title, and the buzz around the film franchise alone will have people curious to see what this game is about. Introducing end game content and rewarding players for doing such instead of this RNG crap that is really damaging the game atm. BW/EA actually looking at the suggestions dropped in their forum, some of you posters out here on this site have come up with some amazing ideas what could be implimented to make the game feel truely epic from full scale Guild vs Guild flagship wars to simple things like Legacy Bank storing credits that can be used from all characters. Conclusion Do I believe this game will make it to 8 years? No in all seriousness I believe somewhere deep down the winding up order as been given, the content of late seems rushed and instead of embracing community play it is only just closing the door further, every character now is a clone of each other wereas before each class had a unique feel about it, the different paths taken made the story better. We can only enjoy the time we have left with the game, because like all things, it will come to an end, but it wont be this year. To those that want to continue posting about how the game is dying because your server is quiet, then there are options open to you. 1. Research using the Server forums or make 2 character on each server, log in for about 7pm when the height of activity usually takes place and see how poplulated the server is, dont just stand on fleet visit the planets. 2. Once you found a server that meet your "activity" needs use your free CC for owning a security key and pay the 90cc to transfer over. If you are feeling like Galactic Command as ruined the game then I can't really offer much for you in terms of advice I have tried to remain positive myself but even I can't, I am logged in now and opened my Lv80 command crate on my main and I got nothing but pure ***** ..... I can only hope that when the 5.1 patch comes out they do something to drastically change the system because I don't know how much more of this I can stand to take. I have been levelling an Agent so I have something to do other than farm Black Talon and go into the [] Warzones. There are plenty of suggestion how they could make the system great but alas they wont listen. Take care all, and lets hope BW/EA sort it soon for everyone that still loves this game
  19. I dont get why people are saying "missing companions" there is a terminal in the Odessan base that will find any Companions not brought back through story...
  20. Unless you spent your life in WZ for upto 600 cxp for 15-20mins or ran Black Talon for upto 800 cxp for 30mins you can not earn more than 1 crate per hour. If you was just doing this from the quests alone away from the FPs and WZ like stated in my original thread it will take you roughly 8-9hrs to earn one crate beyond Level 9 and more as you go along, my main is looking at around 3.7k atm to unlock the next box, to do that you would be looking 3-4 planets to unlock that 1 command level.
  21. I reached Lv 70 on my Sniper mid way through Taris, I though awesome I will see the CXP bar fill doing the content which it will "eventually" my Sniper is in a better position than my main I told myself. However, this simply isnt the case at all. I am currently Level 9 in Command Rank, it take a little over 1,900 to fill the bar to full. Now lets assume I will not WZ or FP with the character at all in the time it takes to fill the 1,900 needed to gain Level 10 and the next Crate of Disappointment. I worked this out and it isn't pretty reading, lets use the Gold mobs as covering for the bit of CXP at the end of the rounded figure of 1,900. You would need to complete approx 100 quests! wait ! what ? seriously BW No wonder people are just packing up and heading in WZ to farm cxp when within a fraction of the time you will have completed the initial 1,900 in what 4 WZ and handed in a daily reward. When running my main I spent roughly 9-10 hours per planet per day 100% completing the quests and I don't think I would have ran more than 100 quests per planet.... holy **** BioWare are you kidding. How is 9hrs work rewarded miles less than someone spending 15mins in a bloody warzone!
  22. replaced the Gerbils and Hamsters powering the servers
  23. Nope what to expect in 2017 - Ben constantly looking at stream chat trying to ignore it and still remind us his system is Exciting - Eric will continue to cheat bot his way through any new content announced and epically fail - More Uprisings will be announced - Probably have a mini update to the Alliance Chapters - Livestream team will avoid every rational question sent their way and focus on some NPC sleeping with Arcann - More Cartel Market exclusive will be added, which are reskin of existing models in game. - 6.0 will be announced by December 2017 - By December 2017 the amount of damage caused to the playerbase by 5.0 will be apparent and will either make BW stick their head in sands further or the plug will be pulled.
  24. You can do what you want to the DPS lot but when you start pissing around with my tank and when I can and can not proc my immunity that is when I draw the line with this game. Tanks already lost sunder because PVP lot moaned I don't need more of my character being removed from me! There is a proc chance on relics go use them more.
  25. The poor guy still trying to figure out the Coffee and Cake orders
