  1. About Us I am the community leader and co-founder of Latalis online gaming community, we have been around on The Old Republic since the start of the game but had an hiatus for almost a year before returning on the Republic side in November 2012. We have since then established a decent , friendly , casual player base and from February 2013 we started with the Operations and have been working on 8 man content ever since. Our progress for Flash Points, World Bosses and Operations can be seen via the following links [*] http://www.tor.latalis.com/portal/2013-04-09-21-05-29/ops-progress [*] http://www.tor.latalis.com/portal/2013-04-09-21-05-29/fp-progress [*]http:// http://www.tor.latalis.com/portal/2013-04-09-21-05-29/wb-progress Our Proposal We would like to offer an olive branch to your Guild by forming an Alliance using the below arrangement; [*] One member from both Guilds will be given a role of Public Relations, these members must be trusted and will liaise with both Guilds to organise events. [*] Loot distribution will follow a common ground of our own rules and those used by the potential Allied Guild. [*] Both Guilds will offer open slots which cannot be filled to a member part of the Alliance We would also like to offer other smaller casual Guilds the chance to join forces with us via merging with Latalis to create a larger player base that would be capable of completing 16 man content and also offer a larger more active, social community at a steady progressive pace which works around real life commitments. Any Guilds wishing to join with Latalis in this merge would come over to the Latalis banner since we have all community tools in place to accommodate the influx of new members , we have a 50 man team speak 3 server, a fully dedicated site which integrates Raid Planner and sign ups with forums, chat features and a variety of Guides.

  4. If they impliment player housing then they need to make sure they vanish when people are long gone, I remember Galaxies having complete cities of abandoned players that had left their entire wealth in the building pool and it refused to vanish. I belive a capital ship in orbit near fleet would be the better idea!
  5. Own a collector Edition, been a sub from start and I totally agree with you here, we Subs and long term players need a reward for having active long term accounts. SWG had this nailed on 1month, 3month 6month 12month etc and you choose a reward befitting the length of service to the game so Founder could have been the 1 month reward, the speeder for "referring a friend" could have been 3months reward and have unique items that show off your loyalty to the game. I don't mind playing the Cartel Market and the packs to bolster my in game creds, in a way the only item that stood out as Pay 2 Win per se was the crystals rightly said before +41 was Lv50 only even the black-yellow from pre-order vendor is Lv50 so lower character are getting an helping hand. Those that read the board and report back to the Devs please explain to them that your pre-order and long term player base wants rewarding not just luring to a microtransaction after sales service!
  6. Really hate these threads about being under powered, and then quit because not one of the people in these said parties as come to the conclusion, it isn't the game its the player. When levelling a character I tend to do things solo, now don't get me wrong I lead a fantastic Guild and group of people and do event regular with them, but I like to go out in the field with a new toon and get a feel for what it is and can do. Now my 1st char was a BH and man I got the Belsavis and things went nose diving, and I lost interest, the same thing happened mobs became "too powerful" so I rolled a Juggernaught and took to it again and thats when I actually became aware of stat changes. I then took a break from all gaming to focus on real life for a bit and when I came back I made a Jedi Consular whom I tried to keep geared best I could to get back into the game. I never had any issues and found even out of sorts geared I could clear my content with minimal fuss and by time I made my Main (Jedi Knight Guardian) I was well and truly understanding the concept of gear and keeping up to date. When you say your under powered it isn't the game's fault, or bioware but yourselves between the 4 of you, you should have been complimenting with crew skills that covered all the armouring, mods, hilts, barrels and enhancements you would need to keep up to par for your level between the lot of you, you had the chance to make your gear better than what drops in flash points by taking the time to do it. My Guardian and my new Gunslinger have had adaptive gear with mods done infact the bank for the smuggler even though she is Lv38 contains every armour, mod, barrel, enhancement to Lv50 and even Bowdar's equipment is the same. Yes the game punishes you for not being "on par" but had you taken the learning curves everyone of us have had to make you wouldn't be cancelling you would be owning FPs together in your 4 man party!

  8. Would be a good idea but please use a better file sharing method - ie use your own FTP and submask the address! going through stupid 3rd parties to download a file is tedious and not 100% safe for users with the amount of crap that filters through the pages. The modules look like a decent addition but I am not willing to use a none direct download
  9. really... why the hell there is no bonus for hitting 55 in 15mins .... oh well they wont enjoy the content as much
  10. Why spank you kindly sir and I hope you enjoy your experiences too
  11. Interesting release but still nothing for Trooper atm then maybe its next time round
  12. SWG Endless Planetary Maps Weather System on all planets Morning & Night differencial Open Space Customisable Ships (Interior and Exterior) Player housing Guild Halls & Cities Bounty Hunter terminals Complex Crafting System that required hard work Choice of Alignment (Rebel, Neutral, Empire) Faction Controlled Planets SWTOR Fully Voiced MMO Wonderful Cutscenes Decent Graphics Decent End Game content Easy Crafting system Really when you look at the two games you can't compare, SWTOR is the best of what we have atm for Star Wars immersity but Galaxies will always be the god father of Star Wars MMO period. Between the 2 I felt more at home on Galaxies than I do on SWTOR. But with SWTOR I get the epic story lines that make me feel like I am watching a movie with the plus side of hanging out with some really kool people in Latalis and have fun doing the Operations. I miss Pre-NGE Galaxies when the game was great and fun
  13. Seriously? 1. You need top rank rep 2. You need them certificates 3. You need Coins Now when I got my Revan mask the "pack" way I ended up going through at least 70! of them to get it! and it was a fluke. To get the top rank rep with the Cartel your looking at the same amount of Coins used and then don't forget the cooldown on rep If anything the 5million still would be the easiest way to get the sodding thing.
  14. Latalis News - 16.03.2013 * Eternity Vault - Hard Mode Completed on the 8th March * Karagga's Palace - Hard Mode Completed on the 15th March
  15. It as been said before but I think it needs coming up again, the more the Devs see it the more they might think Yep they want it. So here it is Devs as a Guild Leader I wanted the most tools I can utilise to ensure my community is in the best possible position at all times and having a simple function to mail all our members at once is crucial when not everyone seems to have the motivation to click on a website and see whats happening themselves This function should have been introduced at the start but better late than never.
  16. 1. Any Windows updates during this period (Vista SP3 on initial launch killed off a lot of programs) 2. Use something like burnintest (free 30 day trial) it will test your hardware 3. Have you set the performance cache file to auto 4. c:/windows/prefetch delete all content inside this folder (this is a cache section of what programs have ran, the more the machine remembers the more the machine slows down) 5. Check for virus and spyware which maybe clogging the system (dont use avg its a chocolate fireguard) free checker that dont require installation Stinger if you have anything nasty that will find and remove for you but recomend using something like McAfee, Norton, Kepersky which are designed for deep level scans. 6. Check running temps of the system, and used compressed air to remove any dirt from cooling fans.
  17. Latalis News - 02.03.2013 * Karagga's Palace - Story Mode Completed G4-B3 Heavy Fabricator http://www.tor.latalis.com/images/kp4l.png Karagga the Unyielding http://www.tor.latalis.com/images/kp5l.png
  18. Seriously what is all this over hype on PVP?? want to do PVP go buy Battle Front or Jedi Knight series. The game is a story driven MMO RPG and PVP is a by product not the be all and end all of a game. No I don't want BioWare to give in to the fan boys of PVP and ruin the game for those that enjoy the PVE content more than the PVP aspect! I barely read the main boards anymore now because every 5 seconds someone will be moaning and complaining about Character specs and how they are inbalanced for PVP or how the game sucks and wont last 5mins on its own. 1. Yes communication from the Devs could be better, and yes they should have someone that takes on the PR for this to keep the community in the loop on what to expect from the game for long term plans. 2. No I don't want my Character's abilities being shafted because someone doesn't have enough skill and reaction times to wipe out another player in PVP. 3. I would love to see Open 3D space like Galaxies and also like Galaxies a section were PVP can take place but like Gree on Illum have areas that are none contested for those that want to enjoy doing this quests without a fleet ganking them. 4. Instead of posting doom and gloom material how about looking at the game for what it is and use the correct channels on the boards to leave feedback be it positive or negative in the suggestions and if your just going to post criticism then at least have solid solutions which can be seen as actively helping the game progress. I now cast my thoughts onto PTS, how many players log in on PTS to see what new stuff is coming but don't actually test the game for flaws? and how many of you have then come on the forums after the PTS content as gone live and moaned about bugs which you didn't report in the first place? A lot I would say. It is time this community got shaken up and turned upside down or slapped by the largest fish to bring some sense back and try get behind the game and not look for its down fall.
  19. Latalis News - 25.2.2013 * Maelstrom Prison to the list of completed Hard Mode Flashpoints * Snowblind was defeated by Latalis on the 20th Feb * Gargath was defeated by Latalis on the 20th Feb * The Primal Destroyer was defeated by Latalis on the 20th Feb 7 Latalis members and 1 random entered KP and cleared out, we congratulate those members but because an outsider was sourced this remains incomplete for Guild progress. * Admin duties carried out if your character name appears here you was removed for being inactive for 14 days without alerting an Officer in-game or using the forums supplied! Legenarius Eleniana Kamilliah Accra Pixielote Creston Cleonarra Bellyre Ixidor Catralax Sgtspook Galiann Aetrus Yenax/Lana'wen Wojeich/Zhaq Sirolra/Jovina Heimbrent/Try'jondar We will invite you back into Guild should you wish to rejoin
  20. we have a tad more than 20 members, we are expanding but at rate which supports our community, we dont overly mass recruit, but we do have recruiters that use the template message to show our existance to the unguilded community. I would like to believe our members feel part of a group and not a faceless drone! the progress made by the guild is done by the members that want to do stuff together and see the value of working together as a group. Your welcome to join us and see how you gel with us and vice versa!
  21. Latalis News - 18.2.2013 * Bonethrasher - SM defeated http://www.latalis.com/images/kp1l.png * Jarg & Sorno - SM defeated http://www.latalis.com/images/kp2l.png * Foreman Crusher - SM defeated http://www.latalis.com/images/kp3l.png
  22. To OP I am with you on the PVE stand, however, I have completed my dailies (minus the pvp ones) with only one lesson learned about the contested area. I usually fo my dailies alone, but for the heroic I use guildies in the area that way we know our play style I could suggest the same to you, it wont be a big deal then. Also during the quests keep more towards the Rep/Imp side of the camps the mobs spawn in close proximity and therefore you wont need to find yourself in full face of enemy tagged players. On The Red Eclipse most of the Imps I see on the shelf are all tagged and have had a few of them bounce in front of my mob hoping I'd tag them.... sad I know but hey oh but auto attack and a companion is enough to slaugher mobs one at a time.
  23. Yea thats really going to help! the guy is probably new and the last he needs is a smart arse! - Like the 2nd poster mentioned there will be an "Exit Area" button somwhere around the mini map depending if you have customised your interface. You notice that alot of the Flashpoints after completion require you do this to exit, Cade and Collicoids is a good example were this is needed but others like Hammerstation False Emperor are good examples when completed have an exit available without the use. Enjoy your exploration of the Galaxy
  24. Can confirm on 2x republic chars the crons are available and working, also can confirm several guildies within Latalis have made cron runs on this planet after the recent patch and have completed it.
  25. Just hand me the keys to my TaunTaun now and I would love you forever!
