  1. Pretty embarrassing mistake ... but ye know what's even more embarrassing? All your whining about it. Jeez, it's 1 day ... how much is that of your life? Go out and have a drink with a friend (or even better: a girl) for once! Would you rather have them release an emergency-patch that puts your game back to the previous version, probly is gonna bug out for some anyways, will take you half an hour to download anyways just so you must download the new patch tomorrow again? Some people really should take a chillpill more often and consider how complicated programming a game these days is. Mistakes happen, who cares? Get on with yer lifes !
  2. I usually try to keep ppl from whining around about every little issue, 'cause still, it is and remains a great game. But the recent queues (that ofc only occur on the few already high pop servers where everybody can transfer to now, so stop the "whaaat, I got no queue, duuuh"-posts ) are a very annoying thing that could've been very easily avoided. Ofc it's not as bad as empty servers. But I really can't think of a sane reason why instead of transferring the ppl from the empty servers together onto one (empty/medium) one, channeling everybody on the very few servers that ALREADY had a healthy population. Seriously: If you have tons of problems and a few good things, what do you do? Fix the problems or break the few good things? Don't get me wrong, I'm really impressed and thankful how fast BW adressd the populations-problem and initiated the transfers. But a LITTLE math in advnance would've been nice. Takes so much of the good spirit that got into a lot of frustrated people from the empty old servers away again. I also doubt that the overcrowding will diminish soon. And IF it wil, then it's not, because ppl are only loggin on during strange times right now to transfer and won't anymore soon, but because they will stop playing because they're pissed off. At least some improvement in server stability would be nice. Having an old fashioned slide-show on the fleet is just a drag.
  3. First, let me thank you, BW, for taking the server-populations-problem so seriously and making transfers available so quickly. I forgot how nice it is to play on a well populated server, SWTOR is so much mor fun now again ! I think you overdid it a little bit with a few servers. You moved most players to the few servers that already got a healthy population, overcrowding them quiet a bit now. Tomb of Freedon Nadd (EU) is already up to a 25min queue (and the Euro 2012 is still going on, there will be even more players in two weeks). I'd strongly suggest you give this some though.
  4. Complete agreement! (Except that I think that simple server transfers won't solve the problem at all, they need to merge some servers soon!) Can anyone quote that statement where the community is blamed for the poulation-decline? I don't care about the name, but such a statement is simply outrageous. I know there's a lot of very exaggerated whining going on here and elswhere, but there's most of the time a real point at the bottom of it. And I also think that a lot of people would whine less and instead of quitting keep on playing, if BW would adress bugs quicker and communicate more openly about how they're going to fix the bigger issues and such stuff!
  5. Since 1.2, Synthweaving is actually a terrific endgame-profession. Purple Willpower/Endurance 22 Augments (I always forget the names, sry) sell for around 150k a piece at the GTN on my server, and they don't even require any rare crafting mats from Ops. The rakata belt and bracers are nice too, still trying to get augmented versions though, as the BCAs are terribly rare since 1.2. Also, if you're leveling an Knight Alt, you can make good gear for him too. Just don't make the mistake and try to get blue or even purple Schems from RE below 50 while leveling, that's just a waste of money (that is better spent for skills, speeders, ect.).
  6. I think it's indeed quiet fair, that there are some items that the CE owners can get exclusively. After all, that's how they promoted the CE and that's what their owners paid extra cash for! And as Acegamer says, so far these bonuses have been veeeery meager. I mean, come on folks, it's only a companion customization! And once you're 50, how often do you look closely at your companion, let alone someone else's companion? In FPs and Ops you can't have them out anyways and most of the time they're on missions or crafting stuff anyways! I gotta admit though, that red Quizen is by far the best looking, so I can understand the envy .
  7. You do realize that Project has more range and costs less than the Inquisitor's Shok (unless you're referring to something else as counterpart)? The abilities of counterpart classes on opposite sides are not supposed to be exactly the same. That would not only be boring as hell, but it would also render the whole concept of different factions with different classes completely useless. I totally like Project and it works perfectly fine, I can't see any bug with it. Stop the whining and play the game !
  8. The red on is also available from the Collectors Edition vendor on the fleet, if you have it .
  9. Thread titel says it all: it's nothing but useless whining! 1 on 1 combat in a MMO is NOT supposed to be perfectly balanced. It's supposed to be like A beats B, B beats C and C beats A. Also, there are some classes and speccs, that are more useful for PvE and some that are more useful in PvP. My Seer Sage is absolutely and completely USELESS in 1 on 1 PvP! Is this a bad thing? Not at all. It's how it's supposed to be, 'cause on the other hand he totally ROCKS in PvE healing. If you're looking for perfect balance, go play a game where there's only 1 class and 1 skill-tree. But I tell you this: it's boooooring. I think it's actually impressive how literally all classes in TOR can take so many different roles. It's way better than in WoW. Ever seen a non-Warrior main-tank? Ever seen an non-Priest main-healer? In TOR we have 3 useful healer and 2.5 useful tank classes and ALL classes can reasonably well DPS. I'd say balancing is actually on a pretty good way in TOR . If you think your char sucks in the role you want it in, eighter change the role or reroll another class!
  10. Patch notes only state that they are available as reward choices in the game. Anyone knows as reward choices of what (quests I guess?) and where? Thanks .
  11. Cut the whining already. We sages hat a too easy job healing in PvE before 1.2, while other healers were crap. Now we actually gotta use our brains just a little bit too when playing ... is that so bad? My sage still heals just fine. The thread-title actually says it. They didn't even really nerf seers, they just nerfed particular playstyles of sage healers. Maybe you gotta try a different approach to healing now. And I can really promise you, it will yield much better results than just whining about how they ruined the wholde damn game by making some minor changes of a few abilities!
  12. I totally support that request. As in all fantasy and science-fiction games: humans are simply booooring. And SW is so FULL of interesting alien races! Many of them are already ingame! Why not make them playable? There's NO reason not to !
  13. You know, for every class in the game there are different playstyles. Different people prefer different abilities and stuff like that. And everytime something changes with a patch, those who like the abilities that got nerfed, start whining "the game is completely broken now, my char is totally unplayable and useless". Folks, that's just f*** rediculous! How about you try to change your playstyle a bit? Try out new abilities that got buffed? Seriously, all the threads are full with people complaining that Sage healers got nerfed incredibly. My main char is a Sage healer and the way I play it, it got actually buffed. The way I use Deliverance and Noble Sacrifice actually costs less Force and Life now! And that's just how life is. When a patch changes something, some will be happy, some will be unhappy. But they can eighter make the best of it and keep on enjoiying the game, or they can endlessly whine about it and die in misery . And don't even try to tell me that that's just because my playstyle sucks or is somehow 'wrong'. I'm the main healer of my guild and frequently get asked to come along with other groups by people who added me because they were very satisfied with my healing. In one sentence: there's simply more than one way to play the game!
  14. I use Noble Sacrifice pretty much every time my health is at least 85% and my forcepoints are below that. You never know if and when a fight will go wrong, so it's good to have enough forcepower. I usually try to combine it with AoE heal, so I can heal the party, myself AND gain forcepower. As the healer, I don't get any aggro if the tank is doing his job, so even getting low health with Noble Sacrifice is usually not that dangerous. Healing the party, especially the tank has priority over getting your forcepoints up of course though.
  15. Dudes, cut the flaming -.-! The way this 'you already know this schematic' message appeares while RE, it's highly probable that it wasn't actually intended and thus is indeed a bug. That fact has NOTHING to do with how people feel about this, no matter whether you don't care and think it' alright or if you're tearing your hair out over it. It really sucks, 'cause it's absolutely unnecessary and very easiely fixable, but as it's far from gamebraking, this bug won't have high priority in fixing . And please stop the 'go PvPing instead'! Some people like PvP, some like PvE (like Flashpoints and Ops) and some like crafting! I really can't understand why everybody should be forced to chose PvP after reaching 50 in order to get better gear. This is indeed seriously out of balance and should be fixed ASAP! Why not making crafting and normal mode Flashpoints just as useful as PvP? There's NOTHING wrong with that!
