  1. Thats what I was talking about... What did you think I meant? oO
  2. Never mind, just checked and yeah It's in the VIP area, but you have to get it from the Collector's Edition vendor. That's pretty harsh...
  3. How is it available to those with the collector's edition? I actually have that, but I still don't know how to get it? Is it in the VIP lounge? If that's the case, everyone has access to it, you just have to pay a lot to get in there.
  4. Is there any way to get the red Qyzen customization if you are already high level? I've already checked Balmora and the secuirty key vendor, they only have yellow and black/gray.... ;_;
  5. Wow, reading some of these posts, it's amazing we can actually function as a society at all... Don't know if that's inspiring or sad...
  6. So if you want the full story of the History of the Galactic Republic you have to either read it from a web-site or complete all the datacrons with a Republic character and an Imperial character, and log in and out while reading them, so you can do it in order... Who the hell came up with that bright idea?
  7. A lot of people in this thread seem to know a lot about Datacrons, any ideas on this? http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?p=3090098#post3090098
  8. HBO series or not, the show was massively popular and highly rated, especially considering the fanbase of this game. That said, he spelled the name wrong, so of course it wouldn't be taken.
  9. So I'm looking at my achievement list and I notice that I don't have the first 3 Galactic History Achievements, even though I have gotten all the crons from every planet I've been to including both Tython and Ord Mantel (Republic side). I look them up and it says the first 3 are on Hutta... Is there some way for the Republics to get these crons, or at least the achievements? Seems weird to have them listed numerically, but not allow either side to get all the numbers...
  10. I have gotten all of the crons I've tried for, though some of them did take me a long time to get. I agree the jumping mechanics in this game are pretty horrible, but they are fairly consistent with their horribleness. If you figure out how to do it properly you can jump the same way each and every time, but you do have to jump in a very specific way. Also keep in mind some of the jumps are a lot easier to make if you turn off your run buff. Really silly reason to quit the game as in the end the stats will make almost no difference. This game doesn't even come close to needing to min/max. I get the completionist vibe, as I'm one myself, but I can also say that if something so small as that made your friend quit, he couldn't have been that happy with the game anyway, and would have found a 100+ other reasons to quit, before he actually accomplished every other thing in the game, to the point that he was only missing the crons.
  11. I have a total of 18 characters across 3 servers at various levels, and of those characters 7 are female. I'm an avid role player (pen and paper), but would never pen and paper as a female, that's just a bit too creepy for me. It's different for a game as you aren't really role playing, you are simply making certain choices for the character in the game between blowing stuff up. So I see it as the same as reading a novel or watching a movie/show where the main character is female. You are getting the story from their perspective just the same. Males and females are different, so playing either one should give a slightly different experience. Is it weird for a guy to play the Alien video game where Ripley is the player character? I see no difference. Now of course there are RP servers where they have full on in game conversations with other players as females, which obviously is a bit different, but even then role playing is about acting. Acting out the lives of someone who is different than you. So if you role play a vicious Sith murderer, this does not (necessarily) mean you are a closet psychopath, just the same as if you play as a female it doesn't mean you are a closet homosexual, it's just a different, and thus interesting, new perspective.
  12. I too turn off corruption for this reason... Never in any of the media have I seen Sith Lords who look like they just smacked their faces into manure... Not really appealing.... Purple veins would be cool, poo smears.... Not so much.
  13. *Hugs* Here's some guides you may find useful: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=47695 http://sithwarrior.com/forums/Thread-Immortal-Defense-Compendium-A-Tank-s-Guide-To-The-Galaxy I was rather let down that there was no Jedi Guardian guides myself. To the haters: No I don't need them to tell me how to play, I usually gimp myself on purpose to make it a bit more challenging. The main thing I look at them for is skill trees, as what the description says, is not always what the effect actually is. Or it may be hard to tell how effective something is just because it gives you the stats. For instance +1% of something could be very useful or completely worthless. There is also the subject of bugs and skill delays etc, where something sounds really good (or bad) on paper but simply doesn't work that way in the field. I'd rather know up front if there are things I shouldn't waste my time with, and make my own decisions from there. They also let you know what the strengths and weaknesses are of each tree. For instance with the Sentinel you have a tree that's good for single target, one that's good with multiple targets, and one that's good with CC, sure you might be able to gleam that from reading all the skills in the tree, but it doesn't just come out and tell you that.
