  1. Kill the adds first asap. This mini-boss does hit the tank hard but as long as the others are moving out of the yellow circles the healer can safely concentrate on putting some heavy heals on you, use defensive cooldowns if you can as well.
  2. You are not forced to use the tool. If you are opposed to the tool then don't use it. But stop assuming people are lazy if they do... I've seen some players for HOURS on the fleet just wanting to join a party for a HM FP, that's not laziness. If you're not lucky enough to be in a active guild or on an active server then a X-LFG tool is a good addition to the game. It's paranoid knee-jerk reactions that are the real problem without any hard facts to back it up. The fact that subs are dwindling tells you people are un-happy, we can argue all day about a LFG tool but in reality there will be no communities period, or dare I say game, to speak of if something drastic is not done soon.
  3. The game is dying, the subs are dropping... people are getting fed up. Patch 1.3 offers nothing particularly exciting, and the LFG tool offered is next to useless. The X-LFG tool could have the ability to save friends from other servers and then group with them, this would cut down on so-called "douchebaggery". That way you could separate the wheat from the chafe and it would make the people of "low moral" to think twice. Opening up the community and making friends on other servers is a good thing and can only strengthen, not weaken, a community. The anti-xlfg tool brigade don't have the luxury of burying their head in the sand any-more, it's time for action.
  4. It's a bug, happened to me and my guild not long back. I just created a ticket and talked to a customer service rep in-game, got my title 2 days later. Good Luck!!
  5. While I agree with you on certain points I just can't see rakata dropping from every boss since now FP HM's are not locked and essentially could be farmed for rakata all day. Something like the Dr has a 20% chance to drop 3-4 blackhole comms more reasonable... or every boss has a 1-2% chance to drop a random rakata piece. when LI was released I literately had no reason to go down there more than once a week for the weekly... more incentives are needed not only for LI but for the other fp hm's as well... seasoned lvl 50's just won't help the new guys otherwise which in turn makes it harder for them to get groups especially with the decline in server population..
  6. Hi yeah by epic i mean purple (artifact) quality items, buying 1 or 2 of those with stats your class can use will give you a boost. If you go to corellia there is a new area called "black hole" where you can earn more daily commendations and there is a vendor there where you can buy a high quality relic for 200 daily comms. Personally I would recommend you get the rakata implants and earpiece first though and then buy the relic. Yes it will take time but it's well worth it. Also there is a weekly mission in the black hole area which will net you 6 black-hole commendations and when you have saved up enough you can buy some blackhole MK1 gear. You certainly don't have to do any of the points I brought up but doing at least some will make your life a lot easier. The Matrix Cube and Datacrons can be done in a day if you really work on it and is well worth the stats boost, making or buying stims is always something you can consider too. Another option is going down some with PuG's to get you started, it's not ideal but it's likely that some people in the party have better gear than you and can "carry" you. Anyway hope you get Taral V down pretty soon if not try False Emperor...
  7. Most, if not all, flashpoint hm's are going to be hard when you start off. Here are a couple of things you can do to make your life easier before you even attempt a HM FP: 1. Get your Rakata earpiece and implants from dailies. 2. Buy 1 or 2 choice pieces of epic gear from the GTN. 3. Collect all the Datacrons for your class and make yourself a matrix cube, the stats boost is very nice. 4. Get your Corellia relic from the dailies. 5. If you have a biochemist that can make them, make sure you are using stims. If you have nobody that can make some buy some from the GTN. Taral V and The False Emperor I would consider the two easiest to start off with however this is subjective, depends entirely on group composition, gear and most importantly skill. Make sure you know the right tactics before entering any flashpoint, as this will save you wasting your time. I have compiled a hardmode flashpoint guide which you can find here: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=311868 Also Duffy produces really nice guides complete with screenshots and videos: http://dulfy.net/category/swtor/flashpoints/ http://dulfy.net/category/swtor/flashpoints/page/2/ As for the two bosses you are having problems with right now Lord Hasper hits hard when you get pulled into his lightning storm so the idea is you use the environment to LoS him so you don't get pulled in. The way my guild do it is by hiding behind the left flag outside the building he is located in (there is a little gap between the flag and the wall) and then having the tank pull him to an area we can DPS/Heal him. The droid is basically tank him faced away from the group and spread out, interrupt him as much as possible as well. When the red circle appears run out of it and stay out until the bolts are over. That's really it for those two. Hope this helps...
  8. There is no Nightmare EC mode at the moment, that will be added Soon™
  9. The game is dying I'm afraid to say... BW seems to think it has the luxury of time and are implementing things far too slowly. By the time they get around to server transfers, a x-lfg tool, dual spec, fixing age old bugs and other things their player-base have been screaming to include in the game for months it will be too late (actually it already is). I myself have seen the population decline, half the time I log-on I'm the only one in the guild and I have nothing to do. My enthusiasm for attending ops is waning considerably as well which means I'm becoming fast bored of the game. I think it's such a shame that companies pump millions of dollars into their product and then destroy it slowly themselves. I hope I'm wrong and things will take an up-turn, but sadly I just can't see it.
  10. What exactly are you wiping on?... I have completed FE HM many, many times.
  11. The buff should only appear in Nightmare mode and you have total of 2hrs to complete the ops. My guild did it a few nights ago and this bug also occurred. I raised a ticket and a day or two later I got my title. So raise a ticket and they should investigate it and resolve it as soon as possible.
  12. cshouston please don't quote me and then change what my post was, altering other peoples opinions is failsauce. yes I do I agree though that it is mostly based on group composition and how well geared/good the players are etc...

  14. Yes fight him up the stairs with the ranged DPS backs to the window and slightly spread out. To pull him the tank should jump on the console in front and then step off and go to the left, this ensures he comes up the right hand side of the stairs. Make sure every headshot is interrupted but don't run around on the missile phase it can be healed through and if you got a sorc/sage bubbled and healed through. This ensures maximum DPS on the boss, make sure people pop everything like relics, stims and adrenals etc... and you should have no problem getting him down.
  15. This is also happening on Storymode... we get out of the purple circle and about 5s later he one shots most of the party with what appears to be an invisible AoE or Cleave. We killed him twice before in storymode and this never happened, please fix this ASAP.
