  1. Not sure what you're talking about OP. vVv has had some great matches over the last couple of days. Most of the gang are grinding up their toons to get them to 55 and geared. Most have not played Empire before so they're enjoying the stories and taking their time. But so far we like the community and the PvP has been fun.
  2. So in other words you didn't think it through that players with 12 Characters would take a item that can be traded via the collection and use it on all of their characters? Players weren't being "crafty or using "exploitive behavior", they were simply using the system that you have in place.
  3. It's a CoD mentality people have. I have been in so many hutballs were people run around and "team death match" it and wonder why they lose. SWTOR is objective based PvP. You play the objective first then kill.
  4. I can say without hesitation that Jedi Covenant is no longer a Reb dominated PvP server. There has been a shift to Imps. Imperials seem to be bring the coordination and pre mades, while Reb's seem uncoordinated and lazy.
  5. Yeah but I can see when a master strike is coming my way. When I play other classes and a Sent master strikes me I can easily stun them or knock them back. The issue is the master strike is telegraphed. Ravage is very fluid and quick, hence harder to stun or bounce back.
  6. Specifically master strike and Ravage. First off I play both a Combat Sent and a Carnage Marauder. When I play my Marauder I very rarely get stunned or bumped back when I cast ravage. Yet when I perform a Master Strike with my Sent 99% of the time I am either stunned or knocked back before I am able to finish the move. Combat Sents rely heavily on Master Strike and the long animation with Master Strike compared to Ravage seems like a issue. Anyone else think this is an issue?
  7. Spent 5000 cartel coins on dye packs did not receive 1 purple. I don't mind the random nature of the dye packs but come on lets increase the odds a bit.
  8. Yup currently PvE gear is better for PvP. Just say a fully 66 level PvE geared Shadow no augs just the PvE gear. Had 1990 exp 30K in health. I have 4 pieces of the new 63 level PvP gear my EXP is only 1600 and 25K health. Makes no sense to me.
  9. Yes I see your point but 800 expertise (what you get with Recruit Gear) is far better that 0 expertise you get with 61/63 PvE gear. Expertise trumps all in SWTOR War Zones. Until they day it does not give you a damage bonus and a DAMAGE reduction against players it will be THE stat to have. The other issue really is not the damage output but the ability to do damage against someone wearing expertise gear. I can always tell the players that have low or no expertise, I liken it to being swatted with a fly swatter or being shot with a Nerf gun. They just don't do enough damage to me to make me worry about them. Then they get Smashed or Master Strike for 7K and you know they have low to no expertise. Expertise right now is the magical stat for SWTOR. With it you can kill players and reduce the damage you take. With out you will get smeared into paste. Some expertise is better than none at all. Use the recruit gear mix and match if you have to but until you get around 1200+ expertise expect to get killed quickly.
  10. Please wear your high end PvE gear with zero expertise I so want my 10K smash. You come into a WZ with zero expertise and I find you, you can bet your azz I'm putting a mark on you so everyone can get there 5K medal. Simply put, you do not factor in a War Zone with zero expertise, I don't care if it's high end Dread Guard or Black Hole. You will roflstomped into the floor by people wearing PvP gear. Thats why it's PvP gear.
  11. Yup Combat/Carnage does the same amount of damage if not more to a single target than Focus. It has pretty much the same auto crit buffs and has a faster Transcendence. I play mostly Combat but I have to admit I like Focus for the loz it brings..

    PvP Rage Quitters

This Fix the ques so you que with people with similar gear scores. Not trying to be rude, but nothing ruins a WZ more when 4 of the 8 have sub 17K health and sub 1000 expertise. I'm sorry but people geared like this simply don't factor if the other team is better geared. I admit for the sake of my blood pressure when I see a team like this I tend to leave and go PvE for a while.
  13. Expanding on the AoE cone idea Why not make the smash have a diminishing return. Target gets full damage people with in the AoE get a percentage based on the damage to the target. Like 5 or 10% of the targets damage gets dealt to the rest of the people in the AoE. This way a smash doesn't hit everyone in the AoE for 6K but still allows a Focus spec to burst down a single target.
  14. Our guild has tossed around the idea of a bit of Role Playing with in our ranks. Maybe having ranks based on completion of trails and then being rewarded for the effort. Not sure really. I've never really role played that much in a MMO before. We did role playing a bit in SWG but SWG seemed to lend it self more to role playing than SWTOR.
  15. Yeah most likely lol To be honest I'm not sure who it was but it's the first time I ever got over 6K on a single hit, and before anyone says anything yes I know Focus is derpy and people hate it. Mostly I play Combat but right now I like derpy focus.
  16. Crap Lol well I'm just bellow 1K in Bonus damage and 1200+ Exp and not quite done Min-Maxing yet so hopefully before any nerf I can get a 10K crit =)
  17. Biggest hit 8250 Cal'o http://www.flickr.com/photos/59053418@N06/8390108563/ Good enough for the top 3?
  18. So you must be totally blind if you don't think for one second that Ravage has faster animation than Master Strike. I have a 50 Sent and a 50 Mara as well and I see the difference. Does it make a difference? Well that maybe up for debate. You're either blind or just trolling.
  19. Thank you that's is indeed what I meant. Don't be so quick to jump on the pissy wagon. It was late when I typed that and I did get my mirror abilities confused. Ravage is indeed much quicker and much easier to land. Master strike telegraphs it's animation so you see it coming a mile away. Ravage is faster and more fluid. A gore ravage combo is quick a precision slash master strike combo is slow in comparison.
  20. Here is the problem with Combat that the "mirror" doesn't have. Combat is built around precision slash and master strike, it hits hard and penetrates armor but people with good eye sight can see master strike coming a mile away and even with the "root" can bump you away. Carnage is built around Gore and ravage. Ravage is very fluid and very quick. I rarely if ever miss a Gore Ravage combo. I miss quite often with Precision Slash Master Strike. It's a lot like the Sage and Sorc were with there lighting and Tele Throw. There was a "delay" in Tele throw that wasn't there in Lighting. The delay in animation needs to be fixed IMO.
  21. Private forums are private forums. Enough said.
  22. This is true with uncoordinated teams but when you have healers cross healing healers you will die before the healer dies. With Combat you have a slight chance to burst one healer down. So it still goes Watchmen >Cleanse for now.
  23. I think watchman is viable in pug PvP where there is not a whole lot of team work. In rated WZ's where the healers are cleansing I think watchman or any DoT heavy spec is going to suffer a bit.
  24. It seems to have resolved it's self. I'm willing to bet it was a Comcast DNS issue effecting servers on the East Coast. However I did do a repair so that may have had something to do with it.
