  1. A couple from today... One I had the ball used force leap to leap up to enemy spawn area from mid platform. Landed short (not sure how) and lost the ball. Didn't use force cammo. Wasn't knocked off. Just landed short and didn't have the ball. Also match ended early with over 3 min left with a score of 3-1. Anyone else?
  2. Wait till the nerf and deal with the next FOTM.
  3. LOL I love how people cry nerf. Instead of slamming 4 or 5 people with a 11K bomb they slam one poor slob with 11K then follow it up with a 9K dispatch. Had the DAMAGE been nerfed and the AOE removed then it would have been the "biggest nerf in history".
  4. LOL instead of smashing 4 or 5 of you squishie tards for 11K I slam 1 poor tard for 11K. Nothing has changed damage wise. Instead of a 11K AOE bomb it's a 11K single target bomb. To be honest Focus/Smash works a bit better on Guard/Jugg because of the ability to generate singularity more efficiently, but this has always been the case.
  5. LOL Smash was nerfed but it didn't destroy the spec. Not by a long shot. Instead me me smashing 5 or 6 poor slobs with a 10 to 11K nuke I'm hitting one poor slob with a 10K or 11K nuke followed by a 9K dispatch . It won't be long before people start to QQ about other AOE nukes and they get nerfed as well. It's only a matter of time.
  6. This is my point entirely. It's not that the stuns are in the game necessarily. It's the duration of the stuns relative to the TTK. And the fact hard stuns are on such a short cool downs PvP is nothing more than running in getting stunned and dying in the span of 8 seconds. Making stuns more expensive on the resolve bar and increasing there cool downs would help a bit.
  7. A lot of my responses were in response to others being snarky and pedantic. I appreciate the long detailed post, but a lot of what you detail was taking out of context. My 6v1 analogy was to illustrate a point about hard stuns in SWTOR. People actuality use hard stuns when they have the numerical advantage because there is no penalty in using them. The default rotation is hard stun even when there is no need to hard stun. I am not advocating removing CC. I feel I have to keep saying this as people don't seem to read threads. But the Dev's need to look at hard stuns and how they effect resolve and how there currently being used.
  8. IMO the hard stuns (incapacitating) are on to short a cool down. They also don't add enough points to the resolve bar. So many times I am dead waiting behind a glass door with a full white resolve bar that is counting down while I am waiting. When I re-enter the fight my resolve bar is back to zero. I honestly don't know if SWTOR can right the ship after it has already sailed. It's probably to late to make real changes to prevent or do away with stun locks. Tweaks to diminishing returns and the cost of hard stuns are a good place to start. I can't honestly believe anyone who PvP in this game enjoys being stunned for the duration of there impending death.
  9. I know its hard to read the entire thread... I never said that CC needs to be done away with. What you described is the way CC is meant to be used. I am talking about the stun lock that doesn't break when damage is dealt.
  10. Well I spend roughly 50% of my PvP game play slowed rooted knocked back stunned mezzed choked and pushed. It's absurd the amount of CC in this game and it masks the balance problem that Bioware has with PvP in this game. Stun locks are easy mode everyone knows it. As a meele class it's far worse than ranged.
  11. And you made me lol right back. Incapacitating stun locks are not tactical and not strategic. CC's Interrupts are. Stun locks are a crutch in this game to make up for poor class balance and nothing more. Take off your rose colored SWTOR fanboi glasses and see what potential SWTOR PvP could be with out stun locks. The argument is made that only BAD's as you say use stun locks to win.
  12. Exactly right CC's in SWTOR are not used tactically and have no strategic use other than as a cheap way to kill someone quickly. A fresh look at how cool downs and resolve work would go a long way in reducing the amount of CC presently in game and make PvP more skill based than stun based. I know this topic has been hashed before but as SWTOR moves forward and we see level caps increase, the damage is going to go up and in the span of a 4 second incapacitating stun people are going to be nuked before they can count to 2.
  13. Yeah I agree dude Doesn't matter the gear it was still 4v3. Not a fair fight no matter the gear worn. Nice video tho. =)
  14. I think I remember reading that as well. But again it's fallen on deaf ears apparently.
  15. Its not even a 6v1 its about stun locking in general. The default rotation is stun followed by another stun then stand there get beat on die rinse and repeat. There has to be a better way to CC in PvP then to default to stun lock to win. You shouldn't be incapacitated to the point of at least not being able to fight back. Stun lock has become so common place that people do it with 3v1. It's standard MO now. Stun lock FTW. I am all for CC. There has to be crowd control, but incapacitating stuns (that do not break on damage) should not be able to be applied more than once with out full resolve, or being very expensive to the resolve pool points. It is out of hand and is making SWTOR PvP a bit of a joke.
  16. Yes I meant the 4 second stuns that "stack". A Electrocute by a Sorc followed by a force choke from a Mara while 5 people beat on you is not skill.
  17. CC in SWTOR is getting completely out of hand. Anyone who spends anytime PvP'ing knows this. As a PvP'er I can live with the roots and snares, the mezzes the interrupts and lifts. But the 8 second stuns locks have got to go! Make stuns breakable upon damage. That way you still get stun to CC for a node cap or to lock out a healer while you kill the tank. Or make stuns more expensive on the resolve meter. No one should be able to lock out a player for 8 to 12 seconds while 5 or 6 of his buddies beat on his defenseless body.
  18. Completly agree... Smash just plays differently now. Instead of it being a AOE bomb, smash is a single target nuke spec. I still slam for over 10K and had a few 11K hits. They did nothing to the damage, it's just one poor slob getting nuked instead of 4 or 5.
  19. Think of adding new items and doing it in measured doses. Bioware has to prioritize the new items it introduces as to not tax the system used to index all your stuff you load at start up. There is a finite limit of stuff they can add to the game engine and not tax it to much as to cause unplayable lag and system issues. Anyone who knows anything about coding will tell you, the less stuff your charter has to index and load the better performance you will get. IMO the hero engine is limited in this area and just can't handle a ton of players loading thousands of stuff at the same time. This is why you see items that are in the game being reskined and recolored.
  20. As long as we have the current Game engine in place we will be hard pressed to see lots of NEW armor and items added. New armor and items add to what your toon loads when you log in. Adding stuff puts to much strain on the servers if hundreds of players are loading thousands of things. So it's easier to reskin and re color what we have than to add totally original stuff. Besides if they added new stuff via drops and FP's they wouldn't be able to add stuff to the cartel market.

  22. All I I have to say is they sure did fix the two temples real quick after all the destruction wrought by the invasions. Must be some quick droids fixing stuff.
