  1. Its two flashpoints, one of which is HM....come on. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hO1hsiE23mA
  2. Maybe its a sneaky way of telling us all to log into the PTS. Well no, im just kidding but I have just logged onto the PTS for that very reason
  3. To be fair, some of the bugs genuinely wernt seen on PTS. Granted there wernt that many there to test, but some of the bugs I had on live I never experienced on pts except for the dodgy chat box.Ofcourse I wish things were smoother and less buggy, but I wouldn't be surprised to know that the bug fixing team might be completely seperatr to the content generating team. And I agree this stuff probably has been ready for a while and just been fine tuned a bit over the weeks. Much of this still was datamined a while ago, where as more recent stuff for 1.5 was pickev up in 1.4 patch. But people need to stop caring about the number 1.4, 1.5 etc etc. Had server transfers and group finder not come, the content in 1.4 and 1.5 was the original 1.3, including the flashpoint and WZ which well likely see in liketwo months. As others said, not only do I not care, I think its a good strategy. We get the perception of more content due to the constant stream of content, even if that stream is only 1 big thing every 2 months. Sure the whole big patches makes sense in some aspects, and its great to have loads of new stuff to do, but then you get bored quicker. Now atleast you play with new stuff, of which there is less of, but by the time you're bored of it, something small but new will be releasedandand you can have some fun checking it out. So yeah, if they stick to it, ill love it. Heck as a PVE player I already am. If, and its still a big if, but if it continues this way, with small imrpvrments, and maybe less bugs, I can see a bright future for this game. They're definitely learning from some of their mistakes at least, such as the new world boss, coming with several optional difficulties, some cool orange gear to chase, and its non griefing mechanics stopping anyone within 70-80m from getting involved if not in the raid group.
  4. Yeah I know what you mean. Unfortunately my workload at Uni has doubled in this third year compared to last, and I had to resit some exams in summer probably due to playing too much swtor back then So I can't speak for the rest of the guild, but personally I'm happy with just 3 nights a week as long as we beat everything on the highest difficulty possible before the next tier comes out. I just don't have the time or freedom to compete for world rank in the sense of logging in early on patch days and raiding 5 nights a week. Still, it's a good idea, and if you havn't already, you should definitely approach the GMs of guilds like Saga, Hubris and Guardians. All of which have solid 8man teams (and likely like 12 raiders atleast), so even if two of the guilds were to be brought together to make a 16man, that would just about be enough I wouldn't be part of it, but I'd still like to see it happen. There is a lack of a competitive 16man team on Imp side, and someone needs to compete with Friendly Fire for server firsts ;P Best of luck with it, look forward to seeing if anything comes of it
  5. Not really new info, but it is a little more in depth much appreciated. I'm wondering however, is Nightmare EV and KP still going to be revamped or will it be left as it is? I wouldn't really mind either way, since it's the first tier there's nothing wrong with it being pretty easy, but it would be cool so go back there to find the fights to be a little different and challenging ^^
  6. Yikes, to be honest the answer to most of your questions would be "a long time ago", 1.3's lack of content really did a number on our raid team. We really pushed for 16mans in EC, and we did quite a few times, never killed Kephess though, as eventually people quit and we didnt have the numbers to continue. Since then we've recruited like 20players only to lose 15 (rough example), and it is a real pain at times. But we (Element Zero) like 16mans. Not so much for the difficulty, but for the social fun aspect of it. We just find 16mans to be more fun, so we plan on continuing recruiting until we can do them again. As for the difficulty, its up for debate and cba really. It's clear BW try to make them as close as possible. Most of EC was harder on 8, except for Stormcaller and Firebrand. 16 just sometimes gives the perception of harder due to, as you said, 10 carrying the other 6. Were pretty close to building a solid team now. We have 2 very active tanks (me being one), about 6 healers, but only about 10-12 dps overall, all of which rarely can attend a single raid. So naturally, as listed in our recruitment thread, were looking for 1m tank and a handful of dps to join the team. However we only raid 3 nights a week, were not particularly hardcore and so we might not be what you're looking for Anubis still the offer is there, feel free to fill in an app and join us in the effort for 16man raiding. -Kazar (Tank Role Officer @ Element Zero)
  7. Yeah I agree, Makeb and Cathar have no doubt been pushed back, way back, even. Probably because they realised the repercussions of an increased lvl cap and due to all the F2P and Server merges extra work. My personal guess is: Patch 1.5 (Approx Mid Nov-Early Dec): - New WZ - Nightmare EC - New daily area - HK-51 Quest - New world boss - Maybe some more space missions. - F2P And then hey did say they had another World Event planned for January So then I'm guessing Patch 1.6 (Feb) - New FP - Nightmare TfB - Maybe a new Op - Other stuff And then a long while later, Makeb and Cathar.
  8. I thought healing by default does 0.5 threat per point? Obviously the case still stands that for each crit or big heal, the tank needs to do big amounts of damage due to the damage reduction the boss has. Waiting till a healer pulls and then doing 2 quick taunt switches should solve the issue for the rest of the fight though.
  9. It's a slower grind but only half the set, so it should be I guess. And they seem to be slowing it down in general to give a sense on longetivity. People don't always know what they want. They did complain that gearing was too quick in previous ops and now its been changes. And theres a great chance that it won't be changed based on the couple of complaints in this thread.
  10. I had like 7 million, then I spent almost all of it on augments and mods and cool custom gear. donated some to guild bank etc. I just don't really need much anymore so I dont really bother. Raid repairs are paid for by the Guild Bank, and apart from moving mods around or stuff like that, augmenting new gear etc, theres nothing I really spend money on. Still I try and make about about 300k a week by just crafting some medpacs and stims and selling them. It's not a big money maker, but it's enough to get by on Rather I craft a bit till I have 1million then I get lazy, until I'm down to my last 200k, then i craft again till I hit 1 mill again.
  11. So...does anyone remember when dozens and dozens of players actually complained that gearing up in this game is too quick? How many guilds were full Rakata by Feb and full Campaign by mid May? This is pretty much tthe result of them agreeing it was too quick to gear up. The changes to the amount and ease of obtaining black hole comms also reflects this. Secondly as mentioned, EC Nightmare will pretty much double the speed of obtaining gear once you're farming both. And I assume this is why the loot in TfB is so random. To avoid the problem EV and KP had, where so many groups maxed out all the gear EV had to offer just waiting for KP. Now with the somewhat randomness it won't be quite so linear as long as EC Nightmare is released within say a month or two at most.
  12. HK is obviously much anticipated, but the most striking thing for me there is the World boss ^^ sounds like a lot of fun. Well that and the tank
  13. Welcome back I must say I definitely 'lost faith' in the game for a while, but kept playing (just raiding 3 times a week and not logging in any other time). Truth be told, not all the changes they make are popular, heck they never will be, but most are actually improving the game one step at a time, and I'm liking the direction its heading in. They just need to start advertising the crap out of it when F2P launches. We'll likely have tons of new people around Xmas. It may be a bit frustrating at first, as they wont know how to play at all but in time I can see the game doing just fine. I don't expect it to knock WoW of its perch, and frankly I never did. They were a bit too arrogant in that respect. Still just looking at their stuff to come makes me happy new planet should be fun, new WZ looks okay (not much of a pvper), HK-51 and a new daily area coming, as well as a new world boss which sounds interesting (supposedly having more than 1 difficulty mode, kinda makes me think of Sartharion with 3 drakes). Everything I see suggests it's growing into a good game. The numbers dont reflect it, which can be worrying, but as long as it keeps turnings a profit (which after f2p it most likely will) then it should stay alive ^^
  14. <Element Zero> defeated the first boss on Sunday at approx 10pm BST, i didnt get a screenshot but ill see if others got one. We also killed the second.boss Dread guards tonight (2nd Oct) at about 10.58pm BST but again. I ain't got screenshot ow, but I have a screeny on my other PC. Will update post with them tomorrow. My only worry with this thread is that so many guilds rnt using it. I can think of like 2-3 who're on the Server Progress thread who ain't posting here, and I'm sure the other servers are likely the same. But hey, better than nothing, until BW implement some proper tracking system its the best we can do. Update: Screenshot for 2nd boss: http://imageshack.us/a/img707/6457/screenshot2012100222583.jpg
  15. Got a bit of new blood into the guild, and are getting close to building a solid group for 16man raiding. Just need a couple more DPS and potentially 1 healer. And in other news, we beat the Dread Guards and are now 2/5 TfB HM Awesome fight, can't wait to hit the Puzzle boss on Thursday.
  16. <Element Zero> now 2/5 HM TfB. Second fight was very fun, and a bit more challenging after the changes to the Lightning field and adds.
  17. Id like to see the weekly be something like 'Defeat 2 out of X' bosses in Operation. Whether that be Vorgath and Kephess or Toth&Zorn and Stormcaller and Firebrand etc. Just so that it rewards a weekly effort of beating atleast 2 bosses.
  18. Gz to those who cleared HM TfB ^^ <Element Zero> finished off SM 5/5 TfB and are now 1/5 TfB HM.
  19. Didn't they say theywere working on TfB and EC Nightmare at the same time, but TfB obviously being a priority as its more important to the majority of players etc. I dunno I feel like I read something along those lines a while ago. Still I would expect it within the next 2 months, especially considering it carries equal ilvl gear as TfB hm. My only worryiis by the time it comes out most hc guilds will have BiS gear or almost best by just putting the required mods into all their gear? Meaning if its goal is for just faster acquisition of the gear, I hope its a serious challenge, and tuned for like half campaign half dread guard, since for most who would play the Nightmare version, the sole reason would be for the achievement and not so much for the gear.
  20. Gz on kills couple of questions about last boss: 1. In Phase 1, some little lights (looked like mini hypergates or something) appeared that your tank was consuming. In other vids I saw ranged dps consuming it. Just wondering what it does, what's its purpose? 2. Also in phase 1 there seemed to be some new add. I assume you just gotta burn it asap? (The lightning ball looking thing) 3. In Phase 2, the tank (DrGordon) seemed to jump off the platform (respawning at the top) after the other tank had taunted. Why was he doing this? 4. The Hypergate Anolomies, what do they do? Do they need to be killed asap or are tentacles priority?
  21. Meh, gratz to <CKN> and <Chosen> all drama aside for clearing it on 16m HM. In particular thanks to <CKN> for the entertaining streams and guides written up by Craxim (still waiting on the rest ). I've been sharing the guides along with Dulfy's guides and my own comments/notes with my guild, as I was the only one on PTS out of us, and the guides are extremely well written and detailed, much better than anything I could write myself ^^ I just hope BW handles EC Nightmare PTS testing better by either doing it all internally (probably wont happen) or simply allowing everyone to have a PTS copy, so as to keep the progression race fun.
  22. Nice vid ^^ and gz, I've been after a good tank PoV one to help understand whats going on better
  23. Were your dps pulling aggro for even a second? Did you check your logs? As far as I'm aware, the attack with puts incubation stacks (dunno what its called) can be dodged. So either dodging it or someone pulling aggro can cause a stack to not go on the tank, leading to the rest of the stacks falling off sooner than intended and spawning the adds early. I don't know if this is what's happening, but worth investigating.
  24. It's almost a shame that its probably corrupt files XD cause I would keep him like that, made me laugh
