  1. Where can you find a binds-to-legacy weapon or piece of armor, anyway?
  2. They also get no free attack that uses their main stat. There should at the least be a free saber throw that uses Willpower, if them swinging the saber would be so unacceptable. Allowing a class to have two abilities that are wrong to use in literally every situation is bad game design. Really just astonishingly, pants-on-head stupid. It doesn't matter if it's a side effect, a remnant of a decision made in beta. It's a problem. Concerning that decision: How is it that someone says "Let's make a jedi class not use its lightsaber," and not only are they not mocked out of the room and reminded of it at performance review, but people actually nod their heads?
  3. Yeah, I guess everything got pushed back by F2P. It would be nice to know if this is still coming, though.
  4. Nothing to help sages and sorcerers use lightsabers, so I don't care.
  5. I found the video; it was from an E3 preview last year of all the things that would be coming out... last year. http://www.swtor.com/info/media/trailers/preview-exciting-new-reveals-e3 Cool screenshot, too: http://www.swtor.com/info/media/screens/space-combat
  6. Answered my own question. Yes, you can. The capital world one says: Purchase Requirements: Cartel Coins Requires Level 10 But it lets you purchase and use it anyway. Takes you right there. You can also purchase and use the Personal Starship one, but it only brings you to the fleet.
  7. I didn't see anything in the patch notes, but I had my hopes up anyway when I finally reached Legend status and went to the vendor. Just a flight suit you can use at Hero and an alternate helm you can use at Champion... I'm not sure why I would want to go adventuring in a flight suit, however. Did I imagine what I thought I read?
  8. Don't bother. They appear to be, for all intents and purposes, indestructible. I saw one swallow four upgraded missiles and keep on smiling.
  9. I wanted to play a lightsaber-using support class, so I picked Sage. Little did I know that no such class exists.
  10. It has always cost credits to fly your ship anywhere, space missions included. Only now: But dude, the reward for the space mission is well above the fuel cost.
  11. You mean her starter gear? I'm guessing it was Elara's Jacket. Companions all start with companion-specific gear only they can wear. Here's all her other companion-specific chest gear. It comes from mission rewards later on: http://www.torhead.com/items/catg/2/subcatg/3/slot/7/name/elara%27s I'm afraid if you sold it, there's no way to get another one. Perhaps a customer service rep would restore it for you?
  12. It already shows tracked non-space missions when you mouse over a region. Why not space missions? I'm sick and tired of zooming in and out, trying to find the region with today's daily. I guess it wasn't that bad before the rotating dailies; you could sort of remember where to find the few you'd been doing at your current level. But this has crossed the line into frustrating. Especially since I'm doing them on both factions and the mirrored missions aren't always in the same regions.
  13. I was lucky enough to not be locked out of the game totally -- I have my laptop that runs it on minimum settings. But that was no way to experience the expansion. Of course, it shouldn't have happened in the first place and should have been fixed a week ago, but still... thanks.
  14. Finally, something that explains the existence of this thread. I could not figure it out for the life of me. And I guess the OP failed to notice a number of things, one being that that Force Scream was no longer in the skill tree.
  15. "Digital expansion." It's not big enough to be an expansion. Just call it DLC.
  16. In beta, Consulars had Force Slam. They could lift enemies in the air, then slam them back down on the ground. If a Knight timed his Force Push right, they could send the target flying. The oft-promoted ability spawned numerous appreciation threads. Whar Force Slam, biowar? Whar?
  17. Over and over, we were told: "Companions are much more than pets. They are characters!" And that was true. They evoked feelings like any character in a good book or movie. I shared in their setbacks and in their triumphs. But now, their stories snuffed out at "To be continued," they stand motionless on my ship with their blank stares, repeating the same handful of phrases forevermore. Ever-obedient as I send them on crew skill tasks like mindless automatons. So gather 'round, shed a tear, and let's toast the best crew a jedi, sith, gun-for-hire, soldier, scruffy-looking nerf herder, or secret agent ever had. They shan't be forgotten.
  18. The way these things go is the customer service staff looks at how the exploit is done, and they say to themselves, "Could a reasonable person do this without knowing they were being sneaky?" If the answer is no, banhammer. For example. People using the Ilum Gree event bolster to powerlevel on a double XP weekend. Clever, unforeseen, unintended, but the people doing it didn't have to do anything particularly sneaky. People doing something that allowed them to take low level characters to chests on Ilum and open them with no risk -- how they did this was never released, but it was stated that there was no way a player could have taken the needed steps without knowing they were cheating. I don't know how people did this mission stacking exploit, but I'm sure it involved some UI sleight of hand. You know the pending cap is 5, and you did something very specific to circumvent it. Banhammer. If you think that's unfair, well, you're not being honest with yourself.
  19. It says I haven't done Llanic Station Strike at all, which is ridiculous. But it says my Imp alt has done all the missions. I haven't started trying to get the achievements, though. It'll be kind of a slog redoing everything in the lower level ones, but ah well. Side note, I'll have max space reputation in about 1.5 weeks. Would've had it by now if I'd known sooner that the space gear is so cheap on the GTN. To think I was saving comms and buying them the hard way...
  20. I'm going to embark on a hunt for the video, I'm just wondering if anyone else noticed it and remembers it. I wonder if it was held back from release because of performance issues. The interior would have to be intricate to feel right. EDIT: Found the video, linked it a few posts down
  21. Oh, that hangar you never go to again after leaving your starter world. I guess it makes sense to find a way to get some long-term use out of those. I'm not sure how much more convenient it is than going the old-fashioned way, though. It depends on where the spaceport on that planet is and where the missions are. And then once you get there and you want to leave for the next daily area, the planetary shuttle won't have that option anymore, and you'll have to go back to your ship.
