  1. They defiantly need to work on their presentation skills. They went too fast. Go slower, leave slides up longer. Don't just read slide, but expand on the info on the screen.
  2. Early April..... they need to be testing this on the PTR like now.
  3. What's really telling is that Ilum was designed from the very beginning to be the open pvp world where you WOULD have the HUGE 100v100 battles. BUT, it fails. Even with high-end systems, the fps drop when you get about 40 people together. Will they get it fixed? Hard to say. Their quick solution? Kill Ilum pvp completely with the new Warzone changes that let WZ kills count toward the Ilum kill quests. Why go there at all now? What I believe their long term solution will be - wait 2-3 years for better computer hardware that will run the game better.
  4. Not duel Advanced Class, duel spec WITHIN your chosen advanced class.
  5. V/O. That's it. Everything else people have listed has been done before. In many areas they have actually reverted back years of MMO feature upgrades (GTN is actually worse than WoW, UI customization, performance when many toons are in one place, lack of guild features, etc.)
  6. and by then most likely your toon's name and your Legacy name will be taken by someone else.
  7. If I go solo and don't have a kill quest in Ilum, then I do not get the "freeze" when an enemy dies, or an objective gets taken. As soon as I am in an ops group with people on the quests, BAM, small freezes every time someone gets a kill. Hopefully this will not be in Warzones. Hopefully.
  8. yes, it "freezes" for a split second every time your (or any of your Ops members quests update). Since your codex keps track of everyone in your Ops's group quests, our clients have to update every time someone gets a kill or an objective get taken. It's been complained about since beta. Maybe it will be OK in Warzones since the client is only dealing with 8 people, but I have my doubts. BW, our codex should not track everyone's quests when we are in an Ops group.
  9. A lot of bugs were fixed, but some were ignored. Even more worrying is that a lot of the bugs in the game now, were in beta, and they said they were working on them. That means they have been working on some bugs that are still in the game, since July (when I started testing). A lot of the suggestions that were offered, were ignored or were simply shot down. We were even told once that BW didn't really need us testing; that their internal teams found almost all the bugs. About the GTN. For almost all of beta, it did not even have the crappy Search we have now. That was put in right before the big beta weekends. Many threads about the GTN were answered with a canned "We are continuously working on make the GTN interface better." That was from back in Sept. So yeeeaahhhhh. Basically this is BW's first MMO. Their swelled egos and pride from making great single player games blinded them. They bit off more then they could chew, and are playing catch-up now. Hopefully they can pull it off. There is a great game here, it just needs a lot more work.
  10. Is Tera a fail game? Maybe, it's not out yet. BUT even if it is, that is not the point. The point is it looks many times better then SWTOR, can handle more people around you better than SWTOR, and has better combat then SWTOR. Does that make an entire game? No. The questing in Tera is ahem, Tera-ble. So what does that mean for this game engine argument? Nothing! The engine running SWTOR is inferior graphics/performance wise when it comes to the Unreal 3 engine being used in Tera and Blade-n-soul. Even fanboys can not deny that based solely on a performance standpoint.
  11. Many people are claiming this works. Bioware said they were looking into it. I doubt they will ever admit that they made such a huge mistake in programming the game, or more likely they will blame it on Microsoft saying it is DX10/DX11's fault. Anyone know how to "force" all the DX9 libraries to install? would like to not drop to 15fps in Ilum during 40 vs 40 action. (I5-2500k-8GB-HD6950 2GB, shadows off, v-sync on
  12. Because she was wrong in her assumption that it could not handle a mmo. Why are you attacking me and Tera? I was not saying anything bad about SWTOR, just pointing out that she was wrong.
  13. After playing the Tera beta I can say you are completely wrong in this opinion. Better graphics, better draw distance, 100's of people around me with a solid 60 fps. Try it yourself or go watch some 1080p videos of it on youtube.
  14. Yep, most of the purple items have the armor/barrel/hilt slot Locked. You can not see the modification in there, but it is there.
  15. Double check them, but were they both the same armor type (Light, Medium, Heavy)? They have different base armor based on type. Orange Items that are the same type with the exact same armoring mod, should have the same armor. If not than one of them is bugged.
  16. It's coming in 1.2 but you will only be able to put the armoring back in the same type of gear. Helm -> Helm, Boots -> Boots, etc. This is to stop what the person above linked. The PVP armorings will have all the Expertise on them. The PVE/PVP armorings will also have the 2P/4P bonuses attached to them.
  17. Nice, but did you guys also fix the issue that sometimes everyone in the ops group does not show up in the Ops panel? Makes healing a little tougher. (No, ctrl-u does not fix it)
  18. The newest FP, Kaon, also has a good story (that will be continued in another new flashpoint with patch 1.2)
  19. Basically it's because of 2 things: 1. No premades or character copy for the ptr = no one testing 2. Only having the patch up for testing for like 5 days = not all bugs/issues will be discovered. There was a quote from the one of the lead devs during Beta that said they really didn't Need us to test things, that they find everything internally. One day they will get their head out of their asses (and swallow their egos) and let us test this stuff before they push it to Live (currently still Beta) servers.
  20. It's buggy, but possible. As you are flying through the air, try jumping right as you reach the edge of the building. It may work, or you may end up dying. Worked for some of us on like the 3rd, 4th try.
  21. So Bioware, how am I supposed to tell if my target is in range of my abilities while the GCD is active? #DumbChangIsDumb
  22. They can never win, because they are FORCING people to all use the same UI. This does not work. They need to allow people to customize their personal UI to what works for them. Different classes play differently. Give us the power Bioware. Give us the power to maximize our ability to play the game by letting us choose how our own UI reacts and displays info.
  23. Because different classes need their UI's to display things differently to get the maximum performance. This new change seems great for some classes but stinks for Rage users. When Bioware finally gets their head out of their asses, and gives us full UI customization it will be a great day for all.
  24. Because almost no one tests due to there not being any premades or character copies. For some incompetent reason, Bioware is failing to provide these; leading to some bugs/exploits/issues making it onto Live.
  25. I think they have ninja changed it or it is broken now somehow. You have to help capture the points now to get the buff. If you come into the zone and all 5 things are capped you are screwed. Bad change.
