  1. Really? That's a bit disappointing. What's the reason for doing Nightmare apart from e-peen then?
  2. There are a few errors with the links that I will fix shortly.
  3. It's disgraceful, but it's what all MMO's do. People complain about not being able to have what everyone else has, etc. There's no longer any form of achievement or idolism in MMO's, that disappearred 5+ years ago IMO. Putting things up for actual "coin" in MMO's is a stupid idea. At the moment it works fine in SWTOR because everyone has so much money due to a poor economy design, but as soon as there are more and more things to buy, and not enough cash to buy them, gold farmers start to appear and the game goes down the toilet. As much as I think PvP gear and PvP stats is a stupid idea, at least you have to PvP in order to obtain it. It can't just be bought. That seperates those who put in effort/time and those who don't. But then again, eventually everyone has the same stuff because the cry bears come out of their caves and complain.
  4. There SHOULD be a patch every week, without a doubt. The game has so many bugs to squash going a fortnight without a fix is suicide. People are currently hanging by a hair in the game so I'd like to see 1.1.5 released with the next patch.
  5. On the note of patching, where are the patch notes? I noticed there were 1.1.4 patch notes 7 days ago for the public test server, but nothing new yet. I'd assume that they'd normally put them up around about this point. I'm also looking for the answers to the questions. (posting from Australia, so not sure on the time over there still, but assuming it's late Friday by now)
  6. Wow, nice pickup. That's so bad. It explains why people seem like such numpties in this game.
  7. I've updated the main post. The file is now more accessible in HTML format. You can now link to TOR-Loot.com for the boss that you want. I'll be adding in some more features shortly. Stay tuned!
  8. Who did you receive a warning from Ziegler? Did Bioware actually come on and tell you off for PvP'ing? If so, who was it? You're always going to get people on PvP servers that think that being denied content is against the rules. They're just soft-PvP'ers, or new-school PvP'ers. It's not like it used to be and it will never be again. Open-PvP originally worked so well because factions had to cross-paths in certain areas which on itself created insanely good fun while PvE'ing. You had to look over your shoulder before pulling a mob because that mob could be the difference between whether you win the incoming stealther and PvP fight or not. I completely agree that PvP is about zone control, PvE control, etc. Denying people is where the fun comes from and being denied is also fun because you have to think smarter than the other players. If this was just some Republic, or Empire, having a cry in /say or /shout, forget it, it happens all the time. SWTOR is NOT an open-PvP game and never will be. The sooner you accept that the more enjoyable it will be.
  9. Hi there, I've grabbed some information floating around regarding Flashpoints & Operations and put them into a nice table. The lack of information for the Republic side was frustrating me as I had to keep checking what the reverse flashpoint was for us. I've created two images that I'm keeping open on a 2nd monitor (best viewed at 1920x1200) so that I don't need a loot site open. The first is a neater version of the original Flashpoint loot table floating around and the second is a new Operation one made from TOR-Loot. I'll continue to upload it with Mods/Schematics/etc. Please let me know if you see any mistakes and I'll fix them immediately. I've done my best to ensure that the drops are correct, but some may be wrong. ================================================== Flashpoint Loot Table (Hard-Mode) (Version 1.2) http://www.fivefingerdiscount.org/random/SWTOR_Loot_FP_v120.html Operation Loot Table (Normal, Hard-Mode, Nightmare) (Version 1.2) http://www.fivefingerdiscount.org/random/SWTOR_Loot_OP_v120.html ================================================== Version 1.1 - Original Upload Version 1.2 Fixes: - Flashpoint: Added in Q56 colour crystal comment for Rakghoul Behemoth - Flashpoint: Ilum FP name changed to The Battle of Ilum - Flashpoint: Added Columi Boots to Grand Moff Kilran - Flashpoint: Correct spelling of Sergant from old table - Operation: Added Rakata Boots to Gharj drop in hard mode - Meaning of "L" for Relics - Didn't want to put an R because of "R" for Rakata - Meaning of "O" for Exotech - Didn't want to put an E because of "E" for Energised Changes: - Added in links from "Boss Name" back to Tor-Loot.com - Changed style from JPG to HTML so that it's now interactive ================================================== I'd love some feedback as well please. Cheers. Thalantyr The Kelly Gang http://www.fivefingerdiscount.org
  10. It's not defender last It's not attacker last It's not time based It's not bomb count It's not defuse count I swear that we've been over those a hundred times. The only one that hasn't been proven wrong personally is the amount of medals earnt. I'll stick with that for the moment
  11. If it was happening on a PvE server, then I feel sorry for you. If it's happening on a PvP server, then you need to pucker up because it's a PvP server. You should not be able to be out doing whatever you want without being killed. There are PvE servers for that kind of gameplay. However, there are too many people that think that PvE'ers deserve the choice between a PvE-only server, and a PvP server where they can pick and choose when they want to PvP. Gone are the days where PvP'ers had a PvP server where it was all about PvP and didn't have a flagging system to cater for those that were undecided on whether they wanted to PvP or PvE.
  12. http://forums.riftgame.com/official-rift-news/patch-notes/index3.html That's how patches should be done. Note the reguarly hotfixes that contain more than one fix. Also note what a 1.2 patch should look like. http://forums.riftgame.com/official-rift-news/patch-notes/185421-rift-1-2-spoils-war-5-10-11-na-11-5-11-eu.html It's been clear since the launch of SWTOR that they do not have the kinds of resources applied to fixing the current in-game problems that they should. You don't have to be a game developer to realise that, and you don't have to be a game developer to realise how long something should take to be fixed. Plenty of gaming developers before this have proven that it can be done 10x better and faster than what it's being done for SWTOR.
  13. It's about the length of time that it takes to release the small patches. If they're going to be patching ONCE a week, with the rare occasion where they bring the server down for an exploit outside of the weekly maintenance patch, then they need to contain more. Small patches should be released every few days at the most because it doesn't take a week to figure out and fix the kinds of things that are in the "minor" patches.
  14. Bioware, comon... your patches are horrible. One whole week of what should be a full game design house and 1.1.4 is all that you could come up with? There are soooo many existing problems that are more important than the things you've selected to be fixed. 1. Warfront Exploiting Constantly logging into sides having stacked players in Hutball, only to grab the ball and hold onto it for 60 seconds to win the round. As soon as the weekly warzone quest resets the warzones are ripe with exploiters. This should be pretty high up on your list of things to fix, because it frustrates the hell out of people. 2. Ilum Quests You have a system where the five points in Ilum go into your quest log as quests. Why? They don't do anything as quests. On top of that, each time a point is flipped from say Republic to Imperial, your PC has a heart attack and freezes for a few seconds. Why not just implement a small rectangle that shows 5 little circles and a colour for which point is being held by which faction? It would be so much easier. I'm tired of getting back to the Republic Fleet and going to pick up a quest and having it tell me my quest log is full because the 5 x Ilum quests are still stuck in there. 3. PvP Medals Figure out something to make PvP more enjoyable and less about farming medals. Two nights in a row now I've been told off by my own team for helping them kill someone because they "were going for the solo medal". When PvP hits the point in a game that it becomes about farming medals then it's doomed. It should be about fun with a reward on the side. 4. LFD Tool God help me that I'm even asking for this, considering that I never run PUGs and absolutely despise LFG/LFD tools because I feel they kill world-PvP, but in this game considering the entrances to all your dungeons are inside the safe zones anyway, there's no reason why you wouldn't include a LFD tool. That's just the tip of the iceberg of things that can be implemented or fixed. At the moment you are taking a whole week to release a set of patch notes that really affects 1/10 players. People will continue to leave until you actually show that you're interested in fixing what game you have there and start implementing things reguarly rather than once a month. Looking over other games patch notes (the latest being Rift), their patch notes are as 5x the size of yours, and IMO you're game has more problems than theirs did, so I'm not sure what the problem is. Time is running out guys.
