  1. 1) easiest - the class you like playing the best 2) hardest - the class you hate playing
  2. When you complete the starter planet class quest line, you can leave the planet and go to the Republic Fleet, this will occur around levels 8-11. Then and only then can you choose an advance class if you are at least L10. If you have not completed your class quests on the starter planet, you cannot choose an advanced class no matter what level you are, you need to get to the Republic Fleet. Even then, if you ignore the AC Quest Giver on the Republic Fleet, you still cannot get an Advanced Class. So - Reach L10 - Reach Republic Fleet - Talk to the Quest Givers as soon as you get to the Main Level on the Republic Fleet Most use L10 as shorthand for the above but a lot of new players get confusied when they reach L10 on the starter planet and cannot find out how to learn their AC.
  3. End Game (more generic) is when you reach max level. The reason it is important to have more at the end-game is that eventually the max level will change. At that point you now reenter the leveling phase. If there is nothing to do at end-game, you can create another character but since level caps increase infrequently, how many character are you willing to level to max before you get board. Also consider even if you are patient enough to level 5 characters to end game, when the level cap increases (from 50 to 60) you will level those 5 characters to max level in a very short period of time so you now can start leveling 3-4 other characters to the new max. Various end-game activities is critical for a MMO to last.
  4. I would go Jedi Shadow and Smuggler and realize you cannot group up until you both get off starter planets. 1) You get to experience both class story lines while leveling. 2) If you are both Jedi Shadow, you can help each other with class quests but only one gets credit so you have to do them twice. 3) Both are stealth classes but have different skills so you can benefit from a wider range of abilities to access
  5. as the above post says. There is no way to hide the fact that you are online.
  6. you can take this advice even further in that each planet is broken up into zones and the planatary story line (kinda linear) takes you through each zone. I tend to complete all quests in a planetary zone before moving on to the next zone. I have skipped entire planets except the story arc but then I make sure not to take any new ones on that planet.
  7. The major difficulty is you would have to keep three companions gear up to date, it can be hard enough to remember to update you current companion. Going back to an earlier companion and you start thinking "He used to be a lot better" before you realize, you have not updated his gear in 15 levels. This would get to be expensive and more often than not, half your group would be dying each encounter makeing for huge downtime.

  9. I was a slave so have a tendency to favor the downtrodden and othe slaves. I do not treat non-Sith as slaves who must do my bidding. I will not become the slave-master I recently became free from. BUT I am still a loyal member of the Empire and elevated to the ranks of the Sith. I am a master within the Empire. So I did not choose to become a good Sith, my experences in life lead me down that path.
  10. Good thing you said no QQ, whew that will solve everything. Just wish everyone said this the forums would be rainbows and unicorns
  11. [Game Developer] The numbers we have been gathering over the last two months shows that Surge is exactly where it needs to be. Skill always wins in the PvP fights. [Community Representative] I got a post in the forums of someone complaining they always loose. They never did PvP before and keep losing. They threatened to QUIT for goodness sake. [Game Developer] Well as I said skill always wins. [Community Representative] DID YOU NOT HEAR ME THAT ONE GUY WILL QUIT [Game Developer] Oh well, lets nerf it
  12. And there is the problem. I may as well stop interupts and off-heals since you will be kicking from the raid for only doing 8% of the DPS.
  13. 1) get rid of the disclaimer it will turn off those who want to be helpful and be a beacon to the trolls 2) There is not a lot of details behind the abilities and stats more guesswork than anything. Check out the class forums especially the Advance Class subforums for the best informaiton. 3) You only need to worry about one major ability, say Willpower, the others have no effect. Endurance - everything has endurance so it does not usually make sense to increase this Presense - makes companions better but gear and your stats will always be better choice
  14. I would also suggest not same class but same starter planet. Jedi Knight / Jedi Consular Smuggler / Trooper etc That way you both get to experience two story lines and you do not have to do the same class missions twice. While you can allow others of the same class in the class mission, only one of you get credit so you need to run them twice.
  15. They need to move 1.1.3 back to the test center then.
  16. It is more a term between a range and melee fight. The ranged has various hold/slow attacks such that they can stay out of melee range enough to limited or avoid damage. Just running around in circles is not quite the same thing.
  17. She plays a Jedi Knight (guardian) you play a Jedi Consular (sage). You can do each others quests, enjoy both stories at the same time, start on the same planet so you dont have to wait to start playing together.
  18. - when you ... um ... hmmm ... its not possible
  19. They had better also add a "Did you really mean to click delete" followed by "Last chance, if you click delete again we might delete this mail" The be sure to leave the mail in the mailbox for at least an hour so i can undelete it. ========================================== In general, most people automatically click yes on these additional popups because after reading them 100 times without being burned, they stop providing any protection. In fact they become anoying having to confirm 1000 correct deletions per 1 mis-deletion.
  20. Listening =/= post in every thread you think is important
  21. kkhhannn While this is joking, I have seen worse legacy names than this out there.
  22. While leveling, assuming you have credits to burn, you can craft stuff better than you get in missions. Not sure about flashpoints and operations. Once you hit L50 though, it is possible that end game stuff is better than crafted stuff. On the other hand, you can do just fine with quest stuff, the crafted stuff is nice but not critical to your sucess in leveling. So unless you want the best you can get and have the credits, then crafting is great while leveling. Plus if you have the credits, level synthweave to get the best stuff while leveling, and then when you get to L50 drop it and level Bio/Cyber or whatever the current FOTM crew skill that is "best" at L50
  23. Can we get a line or two summary for theses. 1) Some might not want to go to all those links and only go to those that sound interesting. 2) Some will not follow external links and since this is the general discussion forum, it might be nice to do some discussions in this thread.
  24. How do you know the disposition of the camera's soul?
  25. Because all the quests are not right next to each other. I suppose some might like picking up a quest to kill 10 bunnies, and the 10 bunnies line up right next to the quest giver but I would not find that fun.
