  1. Resolve works. Good PvPers learn to adapt and survive whereas the rest just get rolled and rage. I agree that skills that immobilize should possibly be added, but snares should not.
  2. Try HM and Nightmare Mode. If the FP was a walk in the park you were obviously on Normal Mode. And there are raids to do as well. Karagga's Palace and EV Also, every HM or Nightmare Mode FP is lvl 50. If you do HM Esseles/Black Talon it is lvl 50.
  3. Well put. Most of the QQ about raid difficulty in past games came from people who were trying to PUG it up and not doing gear checks on the members of their raid. And finding a good guild with a vent or TS3 server goes a long way.
  4. Basically all you have to do is figure out what the base stats are on the purples with only 2 mod slots and compare that to armoring mods at your level. I just think of the base stats as an "armoring mod" that can't be removed. Are there any vendors that sell modifiable waist and wrist pieces? Or do I have to find someone who can make them?
  5. Easy fix, do EV and Karagga's Palace. We found that only half our group got credit for the EV part but when we did Karagga's Palace the rest got credit. Both count towards the weekly so you should be able to get it finished. While they don't seem to care that you aren't getting credit, I'm guessing this is bugged for EVERYONE so that would be entirely too time consuming to go and correct every single player's quest log every time they didn't get credit. I'd rather suck it up and deal with it while they fix that bug and others instead of wasting their time appeasing us. And at least you have the work around I mentioned.
  6. I want to know why they don't make the HTN more accessible when they have schematics for one side exclusively for crafting. I have a schematic I want to sell that is for Sith... No one on Republic seems to want it and I'll probly end up vendoring it. What a sad waste.
  7. For the love of god, please let that game die... TMO was a good idea but horribly implemented. Galaxies PreCU was amazing. While I'm sad that this is not Galaxies PreCU, I'm not gonna cry that it's not. We probly won't see another sand box style MMO. There are two many people who play MMOs nowadays that are used to being spoonfed easy content or they whine until the content gets dumbed down so a 5yr old could do it... To me, there is a difference between difficult content (which I enjoy) and buggy content.
  8. @50, a tank has way more tools to use for tanking than @ mid 20s. Also, if you are 10 levels above the instance you aren't really taking any damage half the time. I helped a guild member in beta on a Sith Marauder on Athis and the turrets at the last boss killed everyone after we downed the boss, but I literally could not be hit by the at all. All I saw was Parry/Deflect non-stop while I burned them down lol.
  9. The way companion gifts work is basically this: R1=0-1999 R2=2000-3999 R3=4000-5999 R4=6000-7999 R5=8000-10000 If you want the max affection you can get use the R5 all the time. But the minimum you should be using is w/e rank I listed above for that range. Anything below that rank of a gift has diminishing returns (ie a R1 gift at approx. 6200 will give next to nothing for affection) So don't bother with low rank companion gifts when you have higher affection ratings. Just post it on the GTN or vendor it.
  10. Why does it matter if it's modded? You can use a "level 7" orange all the way to 50 and then replace it when you get PvP/raid gear. It's the looks of the raid gear that are the issue here. Your moddable gear goes up in level as you put newer mods into it so the low level modded stuff that has an armoring slot in it is still viable. Other people may like the cloak look as well, so what you may think looks fly another person may think looks stupid and vice versa.
  11. I always loved Firefly so I kinda feel like the outlaw persona of my scoundrel fits right in with the Firefly crew, helping out others in need even when you know it can lead to trouble and doesn't always pay out as well as the darker path.
  12. All I got out of this was wahhhh I don't know how to play my class. Sentinel is amazing DPS if you know how to play the class correctly. If all you know how to do is mash your keyboard with your palms or mouse click your skills then yes, you will be horrible. Watchmen is the DoT tree if I remember right and it's amazing at single target DPS. If you keep your DoTs up every time they come up and rotate through your skills right you will melt targets. tl;dr L2P the class and stop being a baddy clicker or go back to Panda World
  13. I think the Smuggler is one of the better stories, or at least it has some of the best one liners in the game at least. I can't help but laugh at the responses I get to pick in the convos.

    Cross-Server PVP

How about no. Every server has an empire/republic imbalance favoring towards the empire. How would cross server queues help this at all? I have no issue with queue times. And my server isn't even one of the higher pop servers...
  15. I haven't noticed any nerf. Maybe you are just bad? Scoundrels/OP are great burst DPS, but not so great sustained DPS because of our energy issues. There was never a need to nerf either class and I haven't noticed any such nerf happen. If they nerf our burst DPS then they have to fix our energy regen issues. As of now I don't have any problem with the class. I think it's just a case of L2P it properly. If you don't like it best of luck with your Pandas
  16. I would also like a ham sandwich. You should get on that.
  17. If you were a good sage you would know to have your bubble up if you were not with the group (or even with it). Guess what, it WILL save your butt. I love bad scoundrels/OPs who try to solo gank my shadow and get owned and I don't even have a bubble.
  18. Truth. I love seeing those idiots cus when you interrupt their tracer missiles they just stand there looking stupid for 4s while I beat on them. Also, the consulars in my guild see those morons and we just interrupt and have all of us spam Telekinetic Throw and projects LOL.
  19. It's not really being nerfed. The HoT on the medpack was a bit too much but all they are doing is removing that and making it require Biochem 400, which means you HAVE to go Biochem if you want the best medpack in the game. What they should have done is make it sellable and remove the HoT. That would have been better but now they are just making crafting pointless as a viable trade for making credits. Not that credits are hard to come by
  20. Force Leap has no minimum range in the Watchman line and IMHO that is the best DPS line for Sentinel. Your DoTs destroy targets.
  21. Sounds like user error to me. Resolve works fine. I enjoy mezzing a target by a door and watching him use his CC break then mezzing him again and ninja planting while he sits and watches. The second mez fills his reolve bar and it turns SOLID WHITE indicating he is now immune to CC. However, this does him no good when he wasted his CC breaker on my first mez that nearly filled his resolve bar.
  22. ^^^^^^^^ This this this. I don't know how many times as a tank I had to yell at the DPS to kill little to big to make both my job and the healer's job easier. That's always very good advice. I wish I could +10 your post
