The best use is baiting someone to push you off the bridge in Voidstar, and once over the edge hitting grapple and pulling them with you. Watching that in action is priceless.

Arsenal is only better in that it is generally faster for leveling Pyro would be 2nd, and Bodyguard would be 3rd. If all you are concerned with is what spec to level in, arsenal is an easy choice. Yes, it gets boring spamming tracer missile. But it is certainly effective.

It will be nicer once you get TD, but I would still just use arsenal for leveling and respec at 50 for what you would like to play. If you're going to level through PVP, then by all means use pyro if you enjoy it.

Just thought I would check in and say that last night was still great for me I did try a few times to solo the whole team, but as before, it just didn't work! I just can't figure out why?! I played Arsenal spec all last week, and while the silly numbers being thrown around were enjoyable, I still prefer Pyro and speced back. It's just more fluid to me. So, in short, Pyro is quite viable even with level 50 brackets. Thanks!

This is more of something that concerns all average players. When you hit them with the unexpected, they panic momentarily, which just exacerbates the issue for them. Kind of like when I do anything that doesn't involve bending over. It pretty much ****s the other guys day up.

Yep! I have seen one other pyro merc at 50 on my server. It's really nice watching other players trying to counter tracer spam when that isn't what I'm doing. Pyro is fine, roll arsenal if you don't like it.

You need to just switch to arsenal, pyro isn't for you. I already face multiple 50s in champ gear in each wz I stay in. If I see its gonna be me facerolling a lower lvl bunch, I leave. That isn't fun to me most of the time. In short, patch 1.1 isn't going to change anything for me.

I fixed that for ya. Also a rank 50 pyro merc, and I am killin' it. The group I run with has an arsenal merc, too, and we both do fine. You may not be quite as good as you want to think you are.

I got mine on Belsavis as a random drop.

Yeah, you guys sort of get screwed with that. When I see the Ghost Busters thing come on, You are my main target the rest of the match. Much harder to notice our "healing bullets" unless you're looking for it.

Unfortunately, with the amount of bad-turned-decent-through-modding players that WoW added to the MMO scene - mods happening is most likely inevitable. Rail against it all you want, it won't change anything. The masses want it easier, as they always do. If you don't want mods in-game, you're not part of the majority - whether you believe you are or not. Things I have heard this week that make me sad: "I can't dps as healer without a healing mod - It's too hard" This guy just stands there when he doesn't need to heal - AND DOES NOTHING. Because he would have to use his mouse a few more times..SRSLY? "I will be a good healer once I can use addons" I have news for this guy - Good healers don't need help. They don't make me sad because I feel I am superior to others, it makes me sad because of what WoW (whether intentionally or not) did to MMO gaming. And it is never going to go back to what it was. Ever. No company has the balls to try - and I can't fault them for it. So, get what little challenge you can out of the game now because it will be dumbed down soon enough.

I tried both, and prefer pyro. I typically run in a group with an arsenal merc also, and we are back and forth for dmg/kills on a consistent basis. I tend to win voidstar, he tends to carry huttball - alderaan is a tossup. Both specs are viable, both specs can burst. We're both fully t1, some t2 - I don't see this changing in t3. Comes down to play-style, imo.

There is a joke here, but it isn't UWT. If you don't like your mission selections (although I doubt affection is maxed on all of your companions, you might try using gifts..) then run a tier 1 3minute mission to refresh them all. I made a killing with UWT before I dropped it. PS - Stop running orange missions if you don't like and/or can't afford to fail often.

Until you posted this, I didn't know you could fail them. I've done a ton and never failed. I am sorry you had a run of awful luck
