  1. anonn please... Could you just stop with accusing anyone of trolling, just cause we do not agree with you? By now you are just making a fool of yourself by your pedantic insistance on a subject that is only made up by yourself. Nowhere was any fact established, that your solution was in any way needed. Just cause you personally feel that way, no matter how strong, does not make it fact. Continuously claiming it without providing any objective facts and without being open for even the slightest change in your idea, just isn't working. You did provide the devs with your idea... Let them decide, what is truely worth their time. Hopefully even you will agree, that the implementation of your idea is not somthing that the games life depends on.
  2. When in an OP-group, many missions are not counting any progress. Kill quests only count within the 4-player group, not for the whole op group. And lastly all instances are limited to a group of 4.
  3. And then there would be "highly intelligent people" like you, who would complain in the second week of April that they did not get the goodies, even though it says "in April" when it was already given in the first week. But keep up your threads... They are almost as entertaining as slaying wookiee.
  4. Evidence needed. I did not see any thread and did not see anything in game suggesting that anyone did fall for any such "scam" and would support a suggestion like yours. Your claim is still as unsupported as it was on the first page. You are convinced that this change is needed. That much is totally fair. It does however not automatically become an universal truth.
  5. Funny that a "COMPETENT" person like you would make such a simple and obvious mistake even in pseudo-code. Your quoted example would block at more than 4 warnings, not more than 5 as the comment implies. So you got an error margin of a solid 20%.... which is far of anyones comfort zone.
  6. I disagree. I cannot see, how that would change anything with the immersion level, if you can field two companions instead of just one. I also cannot see, how this change would even remotely be worth the ammount of time it would take to rebalance about every single encounter fromt he moment on, where you get your second crew member, as all the fights are currently designed either for a group of humans (H2+H4) or for a player with their single companion. Many people would probabl just bring HK and Treek and basically no longer need to worry about the fight at all... Turning the game in a direction where the most effective way is to let the game play and you just watch, is definitely a wrong turn.
  7. So for 2 years and 10 months, you are subscribed and played a measly 150 hours total in that time? Some players do that in a single month. If you do not play the game, then by all means, stop paying a subscription. Never before was that advise more serious than in your case.
  8. And as others (including me) have posted, there are a lot of skills that can be cleansed by a seer. This negates your claim of the skill being useless. It MAY be less useful in the leveling phase than other healers cleanses, but even with your widely exaggerated 99.99%, it would still have a use every now and then. You may now go back to insulting everyones reading ability
  9. Doubleclicking the skill tries to center it on the current target. If that is 35m away the skill of 30m range obviously needs to state "out of range". Targets at the verge of your range can only be hit indirectly, by placing the quake at its max range of 30m and still hit the target at 35m.
  10. Erm. Pro tip solution: If it is useless to you, do not use it. I'd rather keep my restoration to be able to cleanse my team (or myself) from the many effects that can be cleansed by it (including a lot of op-boss-skills), making it far from useless for me.
  11. How so? Every guild can do it already. If you check, which the next conquest will be, then craft ahead with a bunch of chars on 100% strongholds, you can easily gather a giant sum of conquest points within minutes. However it does cost the exact same ammount of credits/material if you do it in 6 days or in 30 mins. Obviously guilds are doing this precrafting to discourage other guilds from even entering the competiton with them. To do so, they need to prepare for some time... after all you cannot just let those million points fall from the sky or gather them by mindlessly repeating H2/H4 missions without any chance of failure (a lvl 60 doing a heroic on nar shadaar is only in danger of falling asleep). Conquests and strongholds seem to be designed to be a massive credit sink and they hit that target perfectly. Especially with the crafting missions.
  12. Max, may I ask, in which country you live? I might want to relocate there, in case I ever want to become criminal. When you are sentenced to a monetary fine, that fine is almost always not related to the money you gained by your crime... at least not where I live. If you for example use the sub or bus in my hometown without a ticket and you get caught, you pay roughly 30 times the single ticket price. If you would just need to pay the price for the ticket, that you did not carry when you had to, why would anyone ever buy a ticket? If Bioware had decided, that it would be a reasonable punishment to knock down every purple mod of the cheaters down to the green versions of it, stripping all set bonus... that would still be absolutely their right as a punishment and even if all of that was legally gained... it is their possession and the whole account pays for the players sin. Or do you also believe, when one char of an account is cheating, the other chars of the account should be treated like innocents, even if the one char is banned?
  13. Do you know of anyone, who did NOT exploit and who did loose anything over the matter? The OP did Cheat... They lost a shematic. Bioware decided that this was a suitable punishment. If the shematic was aquired legally or not is of no concern, the cheater got a penalty. Otherwise would you say, if someone has 50 Million and exploits to gain 10 Millions more, it would be out of question to punish them by taking 30 Million? If Bioware decides, that is the correct punishment, then so be it. And there is an easy way to prevent it: do not cheat. In order to discourage future exploits, the punishment needs to be harsh. If all you can loose is 1-3 days of playtime and exactly the illegal acquired goods, but nothing of your opther stuff that you got legally (or that you were not caught cheating at), then there would be nearly no risk to cheating... and there needs to be risk so that at least the average players are discouraged. Players like the OP will still continue to cheat anyway.. anytime... anywhere.
  14. Your comrade did bring up his nationality. He brought up being good at video games (proof needed). He brought up having united all of the russian players in one guild (proof needed).... all of which had absolutely nothing to do with the case and the complaint. HE CHEATED. And he got a punishment that he did not like. If every exploiter got the punishment that I had in mind for them, the playerbase would be substantially smaller and he would be unable to complain about the loss of his recipe... as he would be permabanned from game and forum.
  15. hopefully never. SWTOR was always blamed for having "to small zones".... and guess what the effect of flying mounts would be? every zone would feel even smaller. The whole design of the game was done without having to worry about some John Doe just flying past everything. Especially many datacrons would suddenly be made almost obsolete, if you could just fly to them. The fact that WoW has it, does not mean anything to me.
  17. Small race chars would not be allowed to play hutball, as for the danger of mistaking them for the ball. Therefore little races may not be playable.
  18. You can already show that you are a good player by being able to kill an opponent even if they got the same gear as you. As people regularly get killed, the game is obviously not "easy" enough to make players just stay alive, regardless of where you face. Also, your environment argument is absolutely flawed, as environment got absolutely nothing to do with the direction you are facing. If you move out of line of sight today, you can do that, totally disregarding in which direction your oponent is facing. You however want an easier way to break LOS... by just running through your opponent... and you claim that that requires more skill... Anyway.. you made your plea... I am opposed to your idea... since you are aparently not getting anthing even close to a strong backup with your idea, it will very likely not be implemented.
  19. As far as I know, you keep the GM-status until some subscriber of your guild logs on... in that case they would automatically inherit the GM-status from you. If you only have f2p accounts in your guild, you should keep the GM-status indefinitely.
  20. I agree about "pay for luxury", but what do you mean by pay to win? Did I miss that "must have" item, that I can only get with cartel coins and that will boost my movement or combat stats?
  21. Not at all. You are proposing that any acount should be allowed to only have either republic or imperial characters on any single server... OR that there be some lock-out timer (I assumed, that this would be for logging from a rep to an imp or vice versa on the same server). I on the other hand say, that I got 16 chars, eight on each faction on ONE server. And I obviously would not be in favour of any idea, which requires me to loose 8 of them or transport them to a different server. And I also would not want any kind of lockdown timer to switch chars on my personal account... other than the login screen, which is already taking long enough. Also as I already stated, I spend the majority of my gametime playing with my guild... which kinda negates your statement of SWTOR being a single-player-game.
  22. That is only true, when less than 4 players on each faction are in queue and less than 8 players of any single faction are in queue. As soon as there are either 4 republic and 4 empire chars queued, the arena would open. As soon as there are 8 players waiting on either side, they would be teamed up 4vs4 in a training match involving only their own faction. Cross-server is a whole different matter, which already got its own thread... and in case of PvP where role requirements are not needed to be met, it even makes sense.
  23. As soon as you got 1 other char in your group, you can tranform the group into an operation group, which allows up to 24 chars total in it.
  24. In my opinion, you are trying to fix something that is not broken. What do you mean by reliability? There is in no way for "my faction" to know, if I will log on tomorrow, or if I will log off again after 5 minutes.... there is no difference between me being offline and me being on the other faction. My faction can obviously only rely on me, when I am online... with a char of that faction. If I am not available to heal them with my Sage, it doesn't matter, if that is cause I am on my Jugger or in a pub drinking beer. And the game comes with 8 different class stories... four on each faction... AND the game features exactly 1 server flagged as roleplay for my language. So in order to follow your suggestion, I would need to either accept to only play half of the story content, or play on a server, whose style does not fit my preference.... in order to gain... what? Some kind of "faction loyalty", which is at the very best a vague idea without any real background to it. And you misunderstood... I play 90% of my time with my guild... which is mostly on republic side, but occasionally we also play on imp side. Most of my friends in the guild got a whole series of chars on both factions, I personally got 16 chars, 8 on republic and 8 on imp side. Especially for roleplaying it is good to be able to create a "villain" for a plot, who not only plays to be of the opposing faction, but also uses the styles of them... A sith throwing pebbles instead of lightning just doesn't cut it. So let's assume that there would be indeed some vague benefit to your idea, I claim, that it would in no way outweigh the drawback of forcing hundreds if not thousands of players to either delete part of their legacy (which also tracks both sides, btw.... you cannot get 100% on a shared planet, unless you got chars on both factions) or exile them on a different server, which might have a different designated playstyle.... if we then add in, that Bioware would actually need to code these new restrictions and find "a solution" for HK-51.... I am 100% sure, that it will not happen and should not happen. The possible gain is just not worth it... if there even is any.
  25. I fail to see, why your first two "pro" reasons would be accomplished by limiting people in their gameplay. For example, when I logged on today, I went on with my main republic char... then joined guild-TS and heard, that they were going for an OP on imp side.... they needed one more char and I had the proper class ready on imp side. So I logged my republic char out and my imperial char in.... to help my guild, which I am spending 90% of my online time with. Now how would this be strengthened if we were all prohibited of having chars of the other faction on our server or if I had to wait any kind of waiting time to relog on my other faction twink? As I do not share your "pro"-reasons at all, I am obviously opposed to this idea... ..also the way the HK-51 quest works implies that you need to have at least 1 char of each faction on the same server.
