Or instead of a gaudy notification, how about something a little more immersive.. Such as non-hostile NPC's loitering about talking about who controls the planet as you pass them by.. For example: "Gotta say.. things have taken a turn for the worse round here since Glowstick Mafia took over, don't you think?" Not a notification, as such, it will just appear in general chat every now and again.

mate, go check the customer service forums. some of us haven't been able to play for longer than 5-10 mins at a time due to consistent crashes etc. this has been going on for WEEKS. yes, its a free 30-day period, but that means precisely squat when you can't play the game.

if you already have lvl30+ main and an alt within 5 days or so of EGA, then it couldn't have been that much work.

hey, can anyone help me with this..? logged in for the first time yesterday, game running just fine on medium to high settings etc. first NPC conversation takes me to a cinematic, at which point the textures start to flicker black, not much at first but after a minute or so it gets worse and then the game freezes, crashing my laptop completely. tried restarting, turning all graphic settings to low, shadows off etc, even lowering my resolution. same problem as before. tried restarting again after updating all drivers, turning firewalls off etc. same problem, cant get past the first cinematic. it seems to onlt happen during cinematics / cutscenes. can anyone help? or has anyone else experienced the same thing..?

strange, i havent seen any posts from anyone who's pre-ordered but not bothering with early access. just me, then? client download time + login server stress + potential queues + potential game server instability, & lag + real life, job etc = not really worth the effort for me. i've pre-ordered but doubt ill even bother playing til after christmas, when everything calms the feck down. dont get me wrong, im pumped to play the game. i just dont wanna get excited like i did during the open weekend beta test only to find i can't get past character creation again. it kinda killed the buzz for me. anyone else feel the same? anticipating incoming flames..
