Self explanatory. I figured I'd try and start a trend here and encourage everyone who is walking around looking for RP to put themselves up on LFG and their comment to "RPer" or something of that sort. This will allow people who are searching for roleplayers to be able to find them easily with the who GUI. Your thoughts? I'm not even sure if this was suggested. o.O

I feel like they should make a commercial for RP servers. And at the end, the guy with the deep voice who voices the ad should say. "Your experience may differ."

You sound angry. Let me simplify my thread for you because it seems you are having trouble understanding it. I'm asking for a payable feature, because I want to pick where I go. From my personal experience, and I'm sure others here will vouch for me, MMO companies who offer free transfers have a one way, specific destination. Furthermore, if you pay for such a service, you have control over your destination.

I really don't understand why people have a problem with this service of all services that MMO companies have offered. Instead of looking at the negatives, which most of you are, think of certain things like people wanting a change of community or perhaps they've found a new love for PVP, which might mean they'd want to leave their RP or PVE server?

I don't know if I agree with that. Xfers weren't the reason servers were out of balance. There were always Horde or Alliance favored servers ever since Vanilla. The thing Xfers did with this, was spread this problem out, which if anything, diminished it. It isn't about copying WoW though. It's about providing a service for a customer to use if they so desire.

Precisely. I'm an RPer myself. In no way shape or form can it hurt RP. The person transfering has the opportunity to kill off their character / start a new story.

I don't think it'll ruin the RPG element at all. :-) If anything, it will allow communities to blossom even easier. The same scenario as above may apply to myself as well, for arguements sake. And I'm already a 44 Guardian. I'd rather not start over, y'know?

I know, we've just launched TOR. Regardless, I'm curious as to when we'll get these features. I already know some people who wish they'd have picked other servers because their friends are on others (mind you, they've already got a high level character, too.) Yes, they should have used better co-ordination pre-early access, but still! Any news on this?

I'm simply hiding the legacy name if the character isn't part of the family.
