  1. Could you elaborate on this. What is this authenticator and where exactly is this management tab ? My guild leader said oddly I could not be promoted to officer although I was one on Origin server. Never heard of this requirement before, sounds like a bug.
  2. ye huge upswing. Everyone in my guild transfered over with no hassle. Lotsa people I know that were playing D3 and even WoW >< are back. Heavy participation and great for players with weird hours. Prime-time is insane ....looks to be a hundred's of people in warzones most of the time on Rep side if you /who each warzone. Guild mate was joking that he put in a ticket cause he had to wait 2 mins for a warzone There is even world PvP with decent numbers going on in Tattoine. Overall this will be great for Ranked and also recruiting for PvE progression. Great platform to build on. - The Bastion server
  3. Its on the small minimap, option of instances should come up. That's how we used to move from PvE Ilum instance to PvP
  4. This seems to be a Fatman community issue more then anything. The vibe and comments from huge majority in general chat on defacto West Coast PvP server The Bastion is overwhelmingly positive. Seems like many are enjoying the transfers here. More then anything, chat was about ramping up guild activities like recruitment and general banter like reconnecting with people.
  5. Tell us your server name ... sounds fishy. Even if there is a que it is a small price to pay in overall context. I'm on The Bastion that when I checked at peak was higher on the list then Fatman. Multiple fleet instances visible to everyone and player reports ranging from 600 - 800 Rep side.
  6. ye amazing positive vibe from many people in guild and general at the population on The Bastion. The non stop warzone pops even at odd hours has everyone talking. Really good work on this one Bioware. Thanks
  7. The bigger question is what kind of internet connection are u using and the stability of the connection. Something is wrong even if you are getting 200 - 300 ms within continental US with a normal connection like Fibre / ADSL. Are you outside US or using satelite ISP connection etc ?
  8. I used the words " Thus far" ... no conclusions being made. Even in my bracket ( PvP West ) i expect a server ( Swiftsure ) not currently on this list to ultimately be a destination cause it has highest pop in the bracket. There are 14 servers in this bracket and only 1 destination ( The Bastion ) at this point so ye I expect more.
  9. BW haven't changed server architecture in regards to the cap ( ie these are not super servers ) so it is very unlikely the whole west coast PvP population is gonna be funneled to The Bastion. Launch servers could not handle the concurrent users in the first place hence the current predicament. Also too many variables like dormant accounts re-activating and transferring to a singular server. I expect Swiftsure to be at least the other West Coast destination and hoping to end up there for good PvP competition.
  10. There are 14 West Coast PvP servers. Chances are high after consolidation we will end up 2 -3 for West Coast PvP and one of them will be Swiftsure since it has highest population by far.
  11. I brought this up many times in past few months ... on why the launch servers had such low caps compared to the norm. Ironically the game would never have taken such a huge hit if not for issues directly or indirectly correlated to population. Much of the player comments attributed the issue to limitation in Hero engine.

  13. could just be an anomaly on your server. Likely not every class is represented at highest standard on each server. You might have better player's of other classes. Once you run into the really good Juggs / Guardians they will definitely make an impression. ... might get the chance with transfers. Probably seen 4 Juggs on my server with exceptional skills since Dec. The current main Jugg threat is even called out by name in warzones because he has high chance to take node.. Even the random groups will say <Name> incoming right. Other player's are ..... 1 incoming right haha
  14. That is probably months away. From reading a few other threads you are not the only person asking when those paid transfers will happen. Bioware is not ready to release info on this right now. Best guess look for announcement after all the free server consolidation is over or around 1.3

  19. You think ranked teams care about "coming down to unranked warzones" and mop up the 50's. Serious teams are looking for serious competition dude not pointless rolling of noobs. The primary reason is gonna be about actual ranking and e-peen. Gear is a by-product. Most players will be in Warhero / BM by end of pre-season by either method. Why would u be "unable to get in ranked" unless people avoid you like the plague ?? Friends, guilds and even players you normally warzone all foreign concepts ?. Groups are persistent after each wz. With the transfers the player pool is gonna enlarge. Excuses galore ....
  20. This is my take .. Number's don't mean much in overall context. I dare say sometimes chasing scoreboard stat could even be counterproductive towards achieving wins. Once you adapt CM is viable in 1.2 PvP. I'm not saying this is easy but adapting means looking at many things including tweaking your HP to cater to TTK and also working out better skill choices for specific situations. Priority needs to be given to winning specific skirmishes rather then meaningless padding of numbers on scoreboard. Commando medic's are very good at keeping up priority targets with big heals at crucial moments. The main problem facing CM are that we come from overpowered state initially. Everyone still wants to play that way & very few are able to break away from this mindset and appreciate the overall subtext of things needed to win skirmishes / nodes and subsequently the warzone. I'm on highly competitive PvP server from early access and many of us keep playing daily cause of the intensity of PvP between the top groups. Warhero groups on my server will invite me even outside my guild premades. Out of the Commando's on my server, there are another two CM that figured it out on their own as well and are thriving. Winning is all that matters and CM are perfectly viable option to make this happen.
  21. Ye ranking board would be sweet. haha in addition to normal stuff I wanna see who takes most incoming damage PvP Rankings shouldn't be too hard to implement really. Warhammer ( some of same Devs here ) had iirc ... ( i ) - Ranking for guilds ( I think one was total renown and one was efficiency - smaller guild but those with really high RR ) - Valor here is kinda moot atm so maybe for kills etc would be nice ( ii ) Individual rankings for each class ( iii ) - There were non persistent ranking visible in UI for open PvP ( total kills / death ) for a particular period which were indicative of the skirmishes going on in that area.

  23. ^ Echo this. On Wounds in the Force, a PvP server which had many PvP centric guilds from Day1 it was always close. At the peak of our population, there were many exceptional players on both factions spread across multiple guilds. Although numerically Imperials had upper-hand the warzones were intense and often went to the wire. Currently If we field from a pool of best players on Republic side culled from multiple guilds it is pretty hard to beat. Personally If i account for solo / que with friends / premade I am still above 70% in 1.2 with about 530 level fifty warzone played. If guild only premade comprising our strongest player's ... probably around the 85 % range. Most of the split games occur against the strongest Imperial premade atm. That Imperial group is also enjoying very high win percentage.

Search "Server Groups" for Harbinger guilds Server groups - Harbinger Guild Recruitment and Looking for Group Assuming you have a stable connection, you will need latency to be below 280 ms to PvP without a handicap in SWTOR. Occasional spikes above 300 ms is manageable. For "adventuring" it wont impact you much but if you participate in important role such as tank or healer in PvE operations, the delay at wrong time could have bad consequences. You might want to try and disconnect and reconnect your internet connection. If you have dynamic IP range, getting a different IP usually gives dramatic difference for online gaming. ( even though all on same package ). However sometimes the pipe is just bad between those locations. Asia pac servers are based in Sydney iirc You could also check Japanese game forums and see what IP range some of the players use to connect to online games overseas.
  25. ^ Pretty much this. This has more to do with letting more players test out the game then any change in model.
