Which, when all comes down to it, every game practically is unless you earn some kind of reward in real life. But why should these time sinks, that we pay for, be boring? I agree with the OP, I can quickly find it a chore to travel in this game, faster than, say World of Warcraft or KoTOR (Which I have replayed a week ago so point is valid)

KotOR 1 KotOR 2 Jedi Outcast Galactic Battlegrounds Masters of Teras Kasi (don't hate ) From first experience I will prefer KotOR 1 but looking back I gotta say I think KotOR 2 is the better game. The amount of honesty in Obsidian games gets me everytime.

If you need to justify it in-universe you might argue that culture and technology has sort of stagnated through Empire rule. Remember, the first movie started with the Empire 17 as the universal power or so. Also, the Death Star is obviously the most technologically advanced space station ever built (you also see the schematic in revenge of the sithi i remember) it just looks inferior due to the lack of resources you mention and a different sci-fi style back then.

I fully support CGI movies as long as it can resonate with the books. I've always wanted a Star Wars and a Batman CGI movie. Think the old Final Fantasy movie with Cloud. Or like in the ToR trailers to be more accurate. A CGI movie based on the first Dark Jedi arriving on Korriban and concluding with the first Sith Empire's downfall would be EPIC!

It's interesting to think that darth Sidious master, Plagueis manipulated the midichlorians to create life and created Anakin. Interesting because Plagueis was fully dark side and unlocked the key to create life. And that life he created through the dark side was destined to bring balance to the force.

It's more sustained than burst, something has to give with the privilege of heavy armor. So you can definately still DPS, just in a different way. There's no hybrid tax like that.

Definately jedi shadow or sith assassin. They're the closest thing to a force/melee class (like a spellsword in the elder scrolls)
