  1. The reason I hate the prequels is that too much was spent introducing characters that didn't need to be introduced, and therefore not enough time spent on Anakin & Obi Wan. They spent most of the time apart, and therefore the confrontation between Vader and Obi Wan just didn't mean anything.
  2. You act like I don't ask my friends or guild members. If my friends were always online I wouldn't need to look for members would I? Doesn't change the fact that there are no good reasons NOT to have a LFD tool outside of Anti WoW Fanboys.
  3. I cancelled my sub, not directly because there is no LFD tool, but because at lvl 50 I only have a few choices. Sure I can go to Ilum or Belsavis to knock out dailies to get more credits that I don't need. I can pvp in the warzones that are already starting to get stale and boring. I legitimately enjoy the challenge of Hard Mode flash points but I spend sometimes over an hour just to find a group, and then if we wipe there is somebody who rage quits because it's taking too long. I'm a repub on a sith favored server, and people who already have what they need out of the flash points simply don't run them. At the very least an in server LFD tool would be welcome, this way people don't have to sit in fleet to find a group. If you have a global dungeon finder somebody can be on an alt and see that there is a group that needs a healer to run False Emp, so they log on their main and join the group. Sitting around fleet spamming general chat is not what I consider fun, and currently there isn't a more efficient way of finding a group.
  4. The fact that you can have toons on two separate factions was stupid to begin with so I don't see why doing this would be an issue.
  5. To me a much better solution is to basically assign gear in the warzone, it doesn't help you modify how you look. The way I envision this working, is when you enter the warzone you get to pick basically a set of full champ gear (making the actual expertise stat unneeded since everyone's would be equal). For Consular's for example you get to pick from the Survivor, Stalker, Force-Master, or Force-Mystic sets. This eliminates any gear advantage, although it also eliminates virtually any reward system. Now the second part of this is that any stims, adrenals, or med packs will not work except for the ones deliberately for warzones, eliminating the biochem advantage in warzones. Commendations would be spent on warzone stims, adrenals, and med packs. You could also introduce some more mounts, as well as options to customize the look of your pre assigned gear.
  6. Not until we can pick which warzone we want to play in. I hate huttball, I shouldn't be forced to wait 30 minutes because I get stuck with a team that treats huttball like it's Team Deathmatch.
  7. What your post fails to mention is that focus firing down 4 (assuming an even split) means that you're probably killing one person every 5 seconds, meaning for every 2 people you kill one can speeder back. The other squad can reinforce or just take middle easily.
  8. I don't mind enrage timers, I just don't think they should be sudden death for you. It should make the fight harder (obviously) but you should still be able to keep up with it at least for a short while.
  9. Actually reading this thread has changed my mind and I'm now supporting this feature. What this essentially eliminates is the benefit of having players who are already geared burning through a normal mode operation to gear up fresh 50's.
  10. First off I leave every time I get huttball because I absolutely despise the game mode. Secondly if you implement a "deserter" debuff you're just going to have more and more people going AFK or not participating to make the game go faster so they can get out.

  12. It's a good idea, but I can't say it's going to make me want to go to Ilum and get run over by sith stampede. One thing I would like to see is if the Walkers are going to be targetting infantry I would like them to have to be >30M away. This basically forces the team attacking the walker to get close instead of holding their line and just grappling people into the herd.

  14. The problem is how easy it is to get yourself pre raid gear just by doing your dailies and buying the proper mods. I made about 2 million with synthweaving to fill my coffers before I dropped it for Biochem, because essentially the only thing I was spending the creds on were materials for synthweaving. Sure I don't have that income to rely on (I can still sell my UW trading items), but in lieu of that I have the equivalent of an extra relic as well as an item that grants me bonus willpower and power. The sick gear you can make in all likelihood doesn't balance out the additional stats you can get from stims, not to mention adrenals.

    Let us sell unused tokens back to the vendors for 10 commendations. I have 1/5 pieces of my set but I've pulled 4 mainhands and 3 belts, I understand the devs want a bit of chance in it but at least let us turn in tokens we don't need to make some progress on the items we do need.
  17. Let's see you can fire a gun, use a knife, fire missles from your wrist, use a lightsaber, or shoot frickin lightning from your hands. Now which of these would you pick in real life?
  18. The shield has a 20 second debuff so thank you for demonstrating you are a person who just joins the QQ parade without learning how a class actually functions. This laughable notion that sorcs can do it all is just hilarious, the only real heal worth using as a DPS sorc is the force armor which absords ~3k damage, there is no way to effectively heal yourself in a 1v1 fight because when you aren't specced for it it takes 2.5-3 seconds to cast a heal for ~2k, in the mean time the other person has probably launched off 2 or 3 attacks so if they aren't terribly undergeared they have certainly done more than 2k damage in 2 attacks. If I'm heal specced I can keep myself above water if people don't stun and interupt during my heals, provided I can kite them a bit. That being said when you're heal specced there is no way you can stand toe to toe and kill an equally geared opponent. If I'm smart with my stuns, kiting, and line of sight I can usually stay alive but that's with diverting all of my global cooldowns to healing and kiting. However, if I get CC'd or interrupted I can easily get pounded on. Madness/balance specs are a pain in the *** to fight because the way the spec works just about everything you use is either instant or has no cooldown. TL;DR Sorcs are great healers and are good at producing steady consistent damage output. Sorcs are not capable of 10k bursts and despite the QQing about force shields and heals they do not have the survivability that other classes have.
  19. My only complaint about the heroics is that usually there isn't enough incentive to do them. Knocking out 1 quest for only a slight xp boost and a couple of drops, when it probably takes you ~30 minutes possibly more depending on area population. I typically find it faster to skip the heroics and knock out other side quests, you can level just fine w/out them.

    Nerf Sorcs/Sages

    Stop saying this, DPS sorcs have 2 heals. 1 is a 1.5 second cast for ~1k the other is a 3 second cast for ~2.5k and these #s are before the 30% healing reduction in PVP. Which means in a warzone it takes probably 2.7 seconds (considering alacrity) for a sorc to heal themself for less than 2000hp. Is there any class in pvp that can't do 2000 damage in 2 GCDs? Sorc DPS is continous it's not burst with high crits like some other DPS classes. When I was DPS specced the highest crit I got popping a +200 power relic was 2600, however it was a telekinetic wave that hits 5 people (for less damage than Force sweep, with a 2 second cast time). It's not difficult for sorcs to top the damage chart because most of the skills they use in the DPS specs are either AOE, have no cooldown, or procced for an instant cast. It doesn't take much to take down a sorc, this place is just filled with idiots who think they should be able to cut down a sorc without burning their defense cooldowns or interupts. I can't tell you how many times I've been owned by a good juggernaut because he times his interrupts well. (for the record I agree that sorcs are better DPS than gunslingers, but that's b/c gunslingers are in need of a buff not because sorcs are OP)
  21. An impressive number either way, but this is really only possible on voidstar where the other team fails to notice the guy making the big gold circle appear.

  23. I do not support this until they give me the option to select which warzone I want to queue for.
  24. Making the tie breaker ball possession forces both teams to still be aggressive, if it's a tie game and you scored last you only have to worry about not letting the enemy score. IMO that's why it is the best tie breaker.
  25. Ops deserve a bit of a nerf, 1.11 might be a bit too extreme. To me cutting down the armor pen from flechette and reducing the knockback are fair and reasonable. The damage certainly deserves a nerf, but the bigger problem is definitely the surge stacking.
