  1. Mercenary tracer missile effects seem to benefit other mercenarys in an Ops group thereby magnifying the damage of heetseeker tremendously. This makes a mercenary heavy dps group by far the best dps group for any PvE content since their damage is substantially higher than any other class. Is this intentional or listed as a known bug somewhere?

No one can be stupid enough to buy that Bioware released a game after months and months of beta testing that showed operatives were doing substantially more damage than other dps classes in PvE, it just doesn't make any sense. Thus, one can safely assume Operatives are now the worst DPS class in the game in PvE. Acid Blade nerf, surge nerf... what is the point of rolling this class? See you all in GW2.

  8. The real issue is that the devs hastily crafted a class based on what they perceived as the "rogue" archetype to be, high damage out of stealth and nothing more. They then slapped on healing and boom, Operatives were born. They didn't put one inkling of creative effort into the class, one in which there is ZERO utility beyond what other classes can do MUCH BETTER and even from RANGE. We are ENTIRELY RELIANT ON A STEALTH MECHANIC THAT RARELY WORKS, forced into combat for long stretched even when completely alone and visible by most players before getting into melee range. Without stealth, the class has the worst damage output in the game and brings NOTHING to a teamfight other than an 8 second mez that other classes also have. At release, with no one geared up, the devs quickly caved into pressure by the new 50's that operatives had too much burst, not factoring in whatsoever the possibility that gear was a factor and that the lack of utility counterbalanced high burst. Rather than seek out a creative solution to the problem, they AGAIN took the lazy route and plastered a reactionary 20% dmg nerf across the board. QQers still complain they get "permastunned" to death, when in reality any moron should trinket on the real stun and knockback/cc us away like a harmless kitten... we have NOTHING ELSE after stealth. tl;dr Already unsubbed, just expressing disappointment. Guild Wars 2 will be my next stop, hope to see some of you there with me in a few months.

  11. So the latest surge nerfs will pretty much put the nail on the coffin for concealment operatives in PvP. Not that our damage was any good right now even in max gear against hybrid sorcs and mercs (lol do I even need to bother mentioning tanks?) but the initial burst was at least good enough to have some people pop their cooldowns. So now we are a class completely reliant on burst damage out of stealth (which is also gimped) without any other degree of utility lacking in... burst damage. Apparently this is balancing. Oh well. On to Guild Wars 2 and a more experienced dev team.
  12. If both players are geared operatives are probably one of the worst classes in the game right now. Completely reliant on burst out of stealth and then.... nothing. Stunlock is easily countered by anyone with a brain. Operatives are ****.
  13. We have to be within 10 meters to interrupt... mercs have a knockback with a slow attached to it and we have NO gap closer.
  14. If his vanish is on CD. All else being equal, if the operative does not have his vanish cd, how does he win against a sorc or merc? Considering how retarded the vanish mechanic is in this game, one can expect several failed vanishes to go along with it. What's the point of operatives if sorcs/mercs/assasins are better all around?

  16. When is this coming Bioware? I'm getting a little impatient. A ranged class that can kill you before you even get to them after a knockback? Balanced.
  17. Sigh bitter non-stealth classes and gimped guadians... have you tried the LoLSlam (or w/e its called for you pubs) tree? 7k aoe crits and whatnot. Anyway I am a BM lvl 50 specced into concealment and talented with the extra stealth level. Ask any stealther if that makes a difference. It is not real stealth, it is, as you put it, a "swoop in" mechanic on a cooldown. I want to know why this MMO doesnt have real stealth like other mmos... people don't even have to spec into stealth detection to see us.
  18. Yup. Why though? Why in this game, unlike any other mmo, is stealth a garbage mechanic? Did Bioware really only want us to be invisible for a few seconds on a 1 minute cooldown (sneak etc.) ? I picked a stealth class because I wanted to be stealthed, not see-through. There is a difference Bioware. People who arent even specced for increased stealth detection can easily see us... what gives?

  20. Have you tried dispelling the poison? Hard counters that spec. Also, snipers are probably the worst pvp class right now... don't bother with this thread.
  21. Real list: 1. Mercenary/Commando Healer Hybrids (Pretty much unkillable) 2. Sorcs / Sages 3. Rage Juggernauts / Knight equivalents (LoLSlam) 4. Marauders (99% dmg reduction, cloak etc. lol?) 5. Operatives / Smugglers if they get the jump on you.

  23. Sorcs are pretty lol broken, they are damn near impossible to kill, but they are certainly killable 1v1. Mercs on the other hand... wow. They start healing, you interrupt, they pop another fast heal and freeze cc you. You can trinket and stun the next heal but they trinket themselves and knock you FAR FAR away and attach a slow. At this point operatives have no gap closer, so I'm leaving that out of the equation. While you're getting back at them they heal to full health and proceed to spam Tracer missile at you. All the while the heavy armor and defensive cooldowns make your damage lolworthy. How exactly does one kill a merc healer hybrid 1v1?

  25. Is there anything being done about powertechs sitting in their spawn pulling huttball carriers up to insta death over and over so the other team can't score? Or is this actually another "encouraged and intended" game mechanic? If so let me know now so I can unsub before next month's bill.
