  1. I played again my sage alt for short time. Class is completely broken in PvP. The problem is not only zero survivability and very low damage but class mechanics. First is the spell force in balance - you cannot use spells with aoe selection on the move and rotate camera at the same time. To be able use this spell in pvp on the move we need this spell to target enemy player rather than area and affect nearest players without mouse interference. balance is actually a dot spec - but if you run and put dots you run out of the force fast. Not enough dots. We have only one dot without cooldown and one dot with cooldown, if we put two dots nothing to do any more. We need desent amount instant attacks what we can do at the move. For example look at the affliction warlock from wow, it has two dots with no cooldown at very cheap mana cost, and few other fast castable spells. Mind crush should be instant, no CD and cost little force. The way how balance should work: 1. Sage should have descent amount of instant cast abilities to put dots on the move without loosing force and easy to switch targets. 2. Way better survivability and instant fear to move target away without filling resolve. 3. Channeling abilities to drain life from enemies. In current situation sage sucks in pvp, the good thing it is not my main:)

    I also noticed the same fact playing my merc. People not to tend attack moving targets. If you stand for 5 sec in one place you will be attacking - human psychology.

  4. It is a class problem. The majority of players choose OP as healers and PT and Mara as DPS, because people tried these classes and decided that they can achieve better results with classes above. Let's compare PT pyro and Sage Balance mechanics. 1. MOBILITY As a PT pyro you have all ranged attacks as instant, you can do damage on the move. As a Balance sage you have to root your self for 3 sec to do a descent damage. Sage has limited amount of instant cast attacks, but the main rotation is to use TT throw and root your self. 2. BURST PT has very high burst, most attacks ignore armor or have very high armor penetration. Sage has no burst, only two attacks ignore armor. 3. ATTRITION In long fight with proper rotation and use of vent heat PT doesn't have overheating problem, PT has no troubles overlast any classes in long fights. Balance Sage has no options for immediate force regen, rorce is a serious issue. The only way to improve force consumption is to limit the use of instant and dot abilities and stay channeling with no move. 4. USABILITY PT is very easy to play, very few buttons, very macros friendly. Very difficult to make a mistake by playing a PT. Sage has complex management, very difficult at creating useful macros for sage, complicated management, easy to get player mistakes. 5. UTILITY PT can taunt reducing the total damage output of the whole enemy team. It is very easy to put taunts on the macros to automatically taunt then taunt are right off cooldown. Also PT can pull targets - this is amazing utility at stopping ball carriers, and catching healers. Sage has almost no utility except friendly pull. 6 CONTROL The stun is the same for sage and PT. Sage has only one advantage force lift, but PT have spammable slow which is the part of the main dps rotation. Sage has slow on cooldown and it is not the part of the rotation. Summary PT is by far the winner in 5 categories and almost the same in the last one.
  5. With your words you confirmed that sages are crap as a class. It is your words that there is no sages/sorcs in top#1 rated team in Europe, it is also your words that very few sages/sorcs play at high level.
  6. Look in WZ and RWZ you need to kill and heal fast, hiding all the time in the corners is just silly for the whole team. This tactic work only against snipers, every class who has instant attacks on the move can easily chase a sage.
  7. Sorcs before 1.2 were better, dunno why they nerf this class. Sages need some options to kite Powertech. Currently Sage vs PT is a one goal game. To be able to kite a PT sages need to be able to cast Telekinetic throw on the move - this is only one way to stay from PT more than 10 meters distance. Another option to improve sage kiting is to give them an ability to make sage immune for roots and slow for 10 seconds on low cooldown like 45 sec, it would be nice this ability will be off GCD.

  9. This class Is terrible, very low survivability with long cast times on both healing and dps abilities. Staying in cloth armor for 3 sec channeling telekinetic throw, are you kidding? 1. Just a free kill, what i can add more, every low skilled Powertech can kill sage of any skill level with no troubles. 2. I played all specs. Seer - very long cast time. no survivability, bad force regeneration, easy to interrupt. Telekinetic - the only advantage of this spec is good force regen, the same long cast times, no mobility - this spec is not viable at pvp. Balance - bad force regen, if you try to put dots on the move and use only instant abilities you run out of force fast, you have to root yourself and channel TT for 3 sec -and you die, very bad survivability.
  10. Playing a sage is so attractive to the enemy team dps so they focus on you and gather in packs of 3 and even 4 hunters and kill you in seconds. Even if they are busy mashing another person a rage guardian or sniper as soon as they see a sage they immediately run to you, the problem is not will sage survive but who kill the sage first. I played 3 classes at 50 pvp and 7 classes at 40+ pvp, but never seen a class worse than a sage. Comon Bioware fix sage to be playable at rated. Sages dies so often, When i was playing my PT and mara i killed so many sages so cannot count their numbers and i do not remember even a single example when i was killed by a sage on my PT. The main sage problem is VERY VERY BAD SURVIVABILITY and not even one defensive ability. Sage has the worst armor, die like a bug and have no damage reduction shields. Absorb bubble has very big problem it requires GCD to cast, if you cast bubble you loose dps, at least BW can move bubble off GCD like all other defensive abilities of all other classes. Every other class has some type of damage reduction shield and you can use it without spending GCD for its activation. Another problem is long cast times, no matter is sage healer or dps it has to stay and cast, heals are on 2.5 sec cast times, the main dps attack is 3 sec channeled. Everyone can interrupt with no problems. How sage suppose to kite a PT if the majority of sage abilities requires cast times and stay with no move but PT can do all its ranged attacks on the move. Sages needs more love from Bioware and developers and some buff, so at least will be viable at rated. No one wants sages dps at rated the only way to enter a rated team is to make silly eyes like a cat from a Shrek movie and ask "please, please let me in". First sage need better passive damage mitigation, absorb bubble needs an option to be spend off GCD and no force cost. The second sage need more instant abilities and fast cast times. All sage abilities what requires more than 1.5 sec cast times needs to be reduced to 1.5 sec. It is fine to have deliverance on 1.5 sec cast time instead of 3 sec. Something should be done with telekinetic three, having the whole three abilities on long casts is not acceptable for pvp for squishy light armored class. It is fine to have disturbance as a instant cast or the ability to cast it on the move. Concerning to balance three it simply needs more burst, less mana consumption and also need a instant ranged auto attack, cause after putting your dots you have to stay and start channeling TT throw for 3 sec. The best way for balance is to make project spammable with no CD and reduce its force consumption.

  12. I made a conclusion that one of the best skill in MMO is to choose the right class in time.
  13. It is a bug, I experienced this many times on my marauder. You become permanently invisible for the whole warzone duration, you can see only light sabers even if you die.
  14. If your vanguard do the same numbers as your merc then you vanguard is actually low skilled player.

    Of course the reason is the healing, PT did so much damage because Sorc healer is OP, nerf Sorc. On a serious note PT did twice more damage than the second dps sniper. Both sniper and PT play at the same team they have equal conditions to kill enemy players but PT did twice more damage for only one single reason PT class mechanics, damage and abilities are beyond the control. PT needs serious nerf not only in damage but the most important in mechanics.

    Looks like it is true, user interface looks like it is 1.3. PT still can more than 1million in one warzone.
  17. I do not like nerf it upset current players. The problem is PT players can do ranged attacks on the move but others don't. Instant ranged attacks in pvp is a huge advantage. For example on merc and sniper you cannot chase ball carrier at all if you see tank carrying a ball you cannot do anything usefull because when you do damage you selfroot your self. If you are pt you can chase tank with no problem. Reducing Pt attack by 10-20% doesn't change anything. But if merc could spam tracers on the move they will be welcomed in rated teams the same for sniper they need portable cover and spam snipes and ambushes on the move.

    We know PT is OP. I started huge thread here before 1.3 was in PTS in hope they fix this class, but still no answer from BW. So we can burn our keyboards here complaining about PT or reroll. I have a PT alt too. If they won't fix PT next patch I will switch my main to PT.
  19. Usually i won most of 1v1 fights on my PT against melee classes, marauder is only a problem if they have rage and stealth available.
  20. You didn't mention incenedary missile, you can put it as you wish from 30 meters with no CD, and you use RS after that from 30 meters as you wish.
  21. PT has this already. If PT has why other doesn't have? PT can spam raislhots and flame burst at the move, but merc, sniper and sorc have to self root themselves to do descent damage. If PT can spam railshots on the move why merc cannot spam tracers on the move?

  23. we perfectly understand this class. The majority of people here have alts. You right telling that this class is unique - this is only one class which allows players to abuse game mechanics. PT needs fix. You just CANNOT move and burst from the range at the same time. You either need to be in melee range to do instant attacks or do ranged attacks but stay for casting. This rule apply to all classes. Many classes have ranged instant abilities, but they have CD, you can do few ranged instant attacks but to perform your max dps you have to stay and cast. But PT is above game mechanics and all other classes you can move do instant damage on the move, ignore armor, do crazy burst, taunt the whole team by reducing its damage. PT can easily stand toe to toe against melee classes and it outdps all ranged classes, if it wasn't like that nobody complains about PT.
  24. To fit PT play style better, PT is not a ranged class, but not a melee. Is is a middle range class, so having its hardest hitting ability as a mid range would fit PT the best.
  25. The main problem of PT pyro is not their damage, but an ability to deliver all their ranged damage as instant attacks on the move. PT needs to have railshot range to be reduced to 10 meters and 1.5 sec cast time on thermal detonator
