  1. I play warzones a lot, for the last three days i played them on almost all classes and noticed the results. It almost always top#3 in damage dealt and kills are ranged classes, also ranged die way rare than melee. When i play a ranged class like sniper, sage or mercenary in 95% of matches i am number #1 in damage dealt and kills, no challenge. These ranged classes needs nerf or at least more advanced rotation, especially arsenal merc and sage. Just pressing few buttons you got best damage. I would notice especially sniper if two snipers stay in the ramp in the hutboll they can easly eliminate the whole team of melee, because melee just cannot reach them, charge and pull doesn't work on them while in cover. I also play a guardian and marauder, but i need to work way harder to achive the same results with melee classes. It means for group play balance is shifted towards ranged classes. Ranged have way better synergy in group fights than melee. Generally speaking: Operative - needs buff Juggernaut - needs buff Marauder -needs slight buff assasin - deception and madness needs buff (darkness is fine) sage, arsenal merc - needs more advanced rotation sniper should be chargable or pullable while in cover

    If you look at warzones results ranged classes still do more damage then melees and usually have more kills and less deaths. When i play my sniper or my mercenary i am top#1 in damage and kills about 90% games. When a play my marauder or guardian i need to work hard to get over ranged classes and i die a lot. As a marauder i eat alive almost all classes 1v1 except darkness sins and snipers, but this games balanced for team play. No matter how great your skills after charging into ennemy as a melee you invade into enemy team being under suppressive fire from multiple players, but being a sniper you can easly stay out of enemy fire killing players from safe distance. To make melee competetive in team play melee have to get better defence and higher damage than ranged classes, this is a tradeoff for shorter range. You have bigger range but lower damage = fair deal.

  4. You need a good mmo mouse with plenty of buttons like razor naga, so you can assign most of the actions to the mouse and use mouse for moving and activating abilities. This way you can avoid keyboard turning even playing with one hand. From my experince Mercenary and Commando are the easiest and all their abilities can be put in razor naga mouse.
  5. Your sniper has crappy gear, even doesn't have head slot at all, what you suspect testing damage naked. Sniper as a commando are ranged easy mode classes, they definetly deserve a big nerf. Actually their mechanics is the same, tracer missile/grave round or snipe spam. I can give you a good news bioware are going to nerf commando in 1.2. Finally, i can tell you an advice put something in your head slot on your sniper, get some BM gear and enjoy.
  6. I see a lot of posting from loosers they say their class is not competetive at the end game pvp. They reroll another and see the same situation. Because issue is not about class but about skill. End game pvp requires more skills because people at 50 has way higher averadge skill than people at low levels. It is not a sniper isuue, sniper is great class.
  7. You need to take it, overwise you'll be marked as a RASIST NUMBER ONE. People as people, there are many people from different countries some know english perfect but some don't. Event playing an MMO and communicating improve English skills, try open your arms to other people helping them learn English, you'll probably find new friends.
  8. Stop trolling please. I have Arsenal merc, Madness sorcerer, Assasin, sniper, and guardian. On my merc i do waaaaaaaaaaay more damage and kills than on any melee classes. In terms of getting kills and damage in WZ it is Merc>>>>Sorc>>>>Sniper>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Assasin=Guardian
  9. Mercs and sorcs can do 1 million just pressing one button, tracer missile/ lightning.
  10. I am very exiceted to know from pro pvpers and duelers which class is the best for dueling right now at level 50. I've heard that currently Darkness Assasin and Annihilation Maradeur are very strong.
  11. I have no troubles on my merc, sorc or sniper with assasins in warsones. I just spam few ranged attacks from safe place and see them dead. Tank assasin is good only at carrying balls in hutball, and probably that is all assasin good at. Sin cannot attack people on the ramp cause doesn't have long ranged attacks and cannot jump like knight/warrior. Sin waste plenty of time walking, trying to touch someone. I can outdamage almost any sin with my merc, never seen assasins did more damage than me in warzones.
  12. Sorcs and Mercs do way more damage in warzones than tank assasins. PLEASE NERF TRACER MISSILE AND LIGHTING SPAM FIRST.

The main reason PVP people leave republic and reroll empire is probably not because we like "bad guys" but obviously imperial classes are better in pvp. before select a main I played two classes on republic side and two on empire. ALL MAIN ABILITIES ON REPUBLIC CLASSES HAVE TIME ANIMATION DELAYS, but imperial works fast with no delays. There is no point to play republic for pvp if you want to win. Our whole pvp guild left republic and reroll empire because nobody wants to be a sucker. If beoware won't fix animation delays and introduce rated pvp you will see all top 100 teams being empire.

    I have 4 classes but they are only level 25. Not end game unfortunatly but at this level they already get their's key abilities. From my experience at playing plenty of warzones and dueling, the first thing only imperial classes are fine. Republican are not pvp classes. BW intentionally broke all key abilities on republican classes. At this level ranged do better than melee. In large group pvp ranged have huge advantage. In 1v1 which is also important in some situations ranged still can do better than melee. Operative can be deadly by huge burst but in large battle duy way to fast if some one focus on him during his attack right after opener. Best way to go is ranged dps with healing like sorc or merc. You can do well in group pvp by getting hight damage numbers, and shine in duels with hybrid healing spec.
  15. sorc is actually the same. Lightning one button damage. sniper is the same - put cover and snipe in one button and enjoy.
  16. All republican classes are worse than imperial. 1 or 2 seconds delays are crutial for Pvp. I have characters on both sides and currently see no reason to play republic at all. What is the point to always be at disadvantage. I am wandering why others play republic. For example sith warrior do scream immediatly while guardian doing bladestorm stay in delayed animation for about 1 second like an idiot. These delayed animations in the main crutial abilities on all republican classes is a huge handicap for Empire. I haven't seen any MMO before where instant abilities have so long delayed animations. The problem is that BW created this by intention, cause every republic class has delay on its crutial ability. It would be more fair to create one faction and one warzone hutball, rather than trick people and persuade them to play intentionally broken classes.
  17. Operative OP - What a joke. Do you know how long operatives live if some ranged classes focuses on them.
  18. I played both Sniper and BH Mercenary and found both of them quite descent in PvP. With BH it is easier to do more damage in warzones due to great area attack, but sniper can elemenate single target better. Concerning to my sniper PvP experience sniper is good class, and great not only for ranged combat but also excellent in close combat, cover defence provide great tool to manage all melee classes including sins and operatives. If you have stun protection available you can pop it and they cannot interrupt and cc you while you can stun and knockback them. Sniper has plenty of CC tools which allow you to cc anyone for long time doing great damage at the same time. From my experience even if i was attacked by melee first and started fight from melee range i have a good chance(more than 50%) to win any melee class depending of level and skill of oppenent. Only one way melee can easly take down a sniper is all CC is on CC, and not enought energy. The ability to do great damage from 35 meters range, excellent control abilities and excellent burst and survivability from melee range make sniper unique. Is sniper OP? I think it is not. What mekes sniper op is playstyle which use sniper strong points and eliminates weak points. The biggest disadvantage of sniper is lack of mobility, which is crutial in PvP. For example as BH mercenary I can easly throw plenty of damage on the move being at the right place all the time. From my point of view BH, sniper and sorcerer are near equal in terms of their support to winning a warzone, with sorcerer being slightly better. Also I can nitice what all knights and warriors are underpowered, both tanking and dps advance classes. I think the solution not to nerf sniper but buff knight and warrior.
