  1. You mean posted in-game with a system that's currently broken where you can't even see the system message anyways even if they did do an announcement. Woo!
  2. He's just spreading the joy: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=600845
  3. Turn off auto-target. You won't be accidentally hitting someone flagged at that point. If you do then you should pay attention to your targets.
  4. Holy necro, Batman! I thought this thread disappeared into the deep dark abyss - never to be found again. But, alas!
  5. Are you seriously asking artists (you know, the people who make things pretty) and designers (the people who design the mechanics among other things) to start doing something outside their field? Because that will totally end well. Yeah, no.
  6. Because some artists and designers have nothing better to do.
  7. He's describing the one in the nightmare lands by the lake which is indeed presence.
  8. Go into My SWTOR which will prompt more options. Go into My Account. Left side bar you go into Forum Management. You should see a list. Select Change Your Forum Avatar. Have fun.
  9. The link from facebook is broken however I've figured out why. The link from facebook says http://www.swtor.com/blog/community-round-january-25th-2012 You need to fix the 2012 to 2013. Edit: Nicely done. Ninja fixed.
  10. I didn't understand the second half of what you said at all. At all.
  11. Or White Mage. I remember having to go perma /anon because people wouldn't leave me alone. And BLMs became SOL when Aht Urgan came around. Even then I remember times when even as a healer it still took hours to find a party because of the lack of tanks.
  12. I'm rather sure you read that wrong. People with "Preferred Status" are people who have subscribed before (or have bought something at the web store for a minimum of $4.99) and have switched over to Free-to-Play. They are not recognised as a subscriber but as a previous subscriber and thus given a "Preferred Status" to recognise them as such.
  13. Actually when I told my bf that server transfers are available I forgot to tell him that there's a possibility of name change so when he transferred them he had to change both of his character's names. He got REALLY upset and threatened to not play anymore. I sweet-talked him out of that absurd idea and told him he could add certain characters and still keep his name. Off-topic: Funny story after that, he goofed and somehow named the wrong character and so I told him to send in a ticket to CS. They reset his names with no problems at all (thank you!) and was able to rename his characters properly. If they didn't reset his name he was really going to quit. So I'd like to thank Customer Service again for not letting my boyfriend rage-quit on me.
  14. I and many others have had the same problem. I already sent a ticket to Customer Service. I'm sure they're all well aware of this.
  15. I lost one name and it was the one name I wasn't original about. (Lenneth) Funny how that works out.
  16. It's just a jump to the left. And then a step to the right. With your hand on your hips You bring your knees in tight. But it's the pelvic thrust. They really drive you insane. Let's do the Time Warp again Let's do the Time Warp again
  17. I'm loving this. I'm a social person when it comes to MMO's and I can't help but to enter the general chat discussions. My RL friends don't get on as much as I do, but being able to talk with anyone at any time and start a random conversation by just saying "bacon" is amusing. I'm also making new friends quicker which is awesome so I don't have to rely on my other friends to get on. It's very nice to finally do every heroic at least once on each planet before leaving it. So far I'm loving my Pleasure Barge.
  18. And here i thought it was because I messed something up from playing around with my interface editor. Thanks for this thread so i don't have to freak out anymore. I actually would like them back, too.
  19. They'd announce if 1.3 would be on the 19th like they did with 1.2. I suppose ever since the over-hype and super-high-positive reviews before the game was released and people lashing out in disappointment everyone's going the "everything Bioware does is all negative" now. IF this next maintenance was 1.3, maybe, just MAYBE, they're releasing it because they're ready for deployment. Nope, it's always some sort of scheming. Some people over-complicate things way too much.
  20. According to Allison Berryman, they will have all information at http://www.swtor.com/transfer as of June 12th. So, log onto swtor.com tomorrow to find more information.
  21. So the way I see it is: Even with having 3 level 50's (but my legacy level is not even yet 20) and having being a subscriber since the beginning I would still have to pay $40+ to advance my 3 level 50's...Unless I go and grind the crap out of my legacy level and/or play and max out my 5 other characters before I can advance the story of my original characters that I want to progress. I don't understand how that would be a good idea. Plus, no one said anything about a paid expansion or even expansion at all. The only words that have ever appeared were patches and updates. So, you're basically assuming a lot to get this idea.
  22. I would like to say a few things here. First off, I'd like to point out about server transfers. If my understanding is correct there will be multiple origin servers that will be chosen to transfer to one specific destination server. Example: Servers A/B/C will be given the choice to transfer to server X. Let's say there are Joe's on each of the servers A, B and C and all are still active subscribers since day one. However, the Joe on server X is unsubbed and hasn't returned at all since. Given this, Bioware decides to make the Joe on server X available. Now we have 3 Joe's about to hit the same server and they all want to be Joe's. Who will get the name Joe? Most likely the first Joe who transfers as with the first come first serve thing. But what if one of the two remaining Joe-wannabes felt it was unfair due to the fact that they were busy in real life ie. job, errands, etc. Just an example. Apologies if I made your head hurt from all of the Joe's and the ABC's. In my opinion it's more of a headache and will cause other problems and more issues that doesn't need to exist to make the name available again rather than leaving it as is. In the end, though, the other 2 Joe's will have to rename their character anyways. They won't know whether it was taken by an active subscriber or an inactive subscriber. My point is: leaving the inactive name as it is puts everyone in a more fair playing field.
  23. Because well over a million players means there are no players. I concur with the thread. I had a good experience myself yesterday. The response was immediate and took no more than five minutes.
  24. Pretty sure I read somewhere that the voice actors are on some sort of long-term contract as well as having some future content already pre-recorded. So, as far as I'm concerned they should continue for a while.
  25. I find the legacy perks to be more of a reward to me. Let's say they reduce the cost to 10% as someone suggested; or reduce them to 50k credits. 50k isn't a whole lot of credits. This game is just over four months old and a rather large patch was recently released (1.2) so we won't be getting another large patch like for at least a couple of months. If they reduced the cost as you would like to, getting all of the legacy perks wouldn't be a problem for anyone and you may get them all within a short amount of time. By then, most people would have that level 50 issue where they leveled to level 50 before February even came around and got nothing to do. You've already achieved what you wanted: your legacy perks. You may even already have a level 50. I don't know. But, my point is, by reducing said prices they're just making things much easier and faster to attain and thus you'll end up having much less to do and have to wait until the next big patch arrives. It's not smart in a business sense because once a player finds nothing else to do they have less reason to play. It's not good for a player because it'd make everything much too easy to attain and thus you may get bored sooner rather than later. That's just what I think, anyway.
