  1. I personally am okay with how it is now but then again, I came from FFXI: There was no sprint, just a walk/run toggle and you get to rent a chocobo at level 20 after you did some quest and that's after running all the way to Jeuno which is about 4 zones away from your starting city. And your chocobo was only one speed until an expansion that came out that allowed you to breed faster ones (or slower ones). But let's get off the FFXI boat and talk about this. When people talk about it being needing to be more realistic and immersive this is what comes to mind: At level one I would see people running/walking around. If sprint is to be available I would expect to see a Stamina bar that when drained would make you slow down, huffing and puffing (I suppose something like GTA). Though it can be annoying when running from cops...I find it to be more realistic than to get a perma-sprint. And your can upgrade your stamina through endurance...because that would make the most sense. However, because of game mechanics of how it is now, that's definitely something not recommended. As for a speeder: I would agree that by paying so much credits we should get something faster and that there should be more grades. Much like buying a vehicle irl. You pay more for the faster ones. That's about all I got for thoughts on this. I mean, I'm all for getting around faster but somethings make less sense than others.
  2. Perhaps. But asking about it beforehand rather than doing "the dick move" and rolling a 'Need' for it without a warning would maybe cause less hate and blacklisting which matters more to some people than some piece of gear. In the end that would probably be worse when it comes to finding a group I would think.
  3. To me there's a couple of ways to go about this. If say, I were to join a flashpoint group specifically so I can get gear for my companion, I believe me or anyone else in that position has every right to select Need for it. After all, it is the reason I joined and I played as hard as everyone else for it, didn't I? However, if you do a flashpoint and something drops and you realise that your companion could really use that, then I think the player who actually needs it should have a better shot at it first. But in the end I think the problem is honesty and communication. Something to consider is to mention to your group that your intention from the start is to get gear for your companion. Some people can be reasonable and would be okay with it. If someone doesn't like the idea perhaps you can discuss it with each other or do the flashpoint again until you both get what you want. Great way to make friends and establish communication. Then again, as I said before...the problem with a lot of people is communication. Some do it poorly or not at all and that's when things get messy.
  4. Pre-ordered 21st but with Gamestop's access code delay I got it on the 22nd and yet, I'm in Invited at 8am PST.
