  1. We're talking about respec'ing utilities not changing disciplines it's a completely different situation.
  2. I wouldn't have an issue w/ utility changing at the beginning of a round ONLY. Though I don't know how they could regulate it so that you couldn't just do it whenever you were out of combat. Switching even between DPS specs is unnecessary and would just lead to people complaining about not being able to switch from dps to support role, and most of us remember how awesome that was.

  4. Dev's seem pretty against giving mercs any sort of movement ability based on the discipline stream. I can only speak suggestion 2 as I only heal, but I think that actually nerfs hydraulic overrides, by making it very situational (most times by back is against of very near a hard surface) and shortening it's duration gives us even less tools for kiting.
  5. As you say, BW has given us a nice trade off for taking away the alacrity in our tree with Advanced Targeting. Thanks to progressive scan alacrity is quite important for your HPS. Since it's a nice long 3s cast, alacrity takes a nice chunk off of it. Not to mention lowering to CD on abilities included power surge(instant cast) increases your burst potential. For PVE I'm running around 10% and for PVP 7%.
  6. There are just more quality players and premades at certain times than the imp side, because there are less players queuing on the rep faction.
  7. Stats don't effect guard. The reason their health isn't moving is because they are healing at the same rate you're dps'ing more or less. Or the tank is taunting you in one scenario and not in the other.
  8. It's not hacking it's a straight up exploit in voidstar. Planting the bomb doesn't break stealth for like the first 3s or so. I've even seen mara's pull this off. I don't play stealth, so I don't know the details to make it work if it does take anymore than just being in stealth before you start capping.

  10. For pvp I found a happy median with 7.15% (602) alacrity. This allows you to have just over 65% crit multiplier, and gives you a significant speed up on your prog scan. Also the cd on key abilities for burst healing like power surge and emergency scan are nice. The 10% crit multiplier I get from Advanced Targeting I feel makes up for the surge loss. Also surg caps at around 400-450 so you'll have to take some alacrity anyway, might as well be enough to make it worthwhile. I tried over 8% for a while and felt it wasn't justifiable increase on casts and cd's. Honestly I don't think you can go wrong one way or the other, but I think play styles lend better to one side or the other. I also think if you're going surge heavy you want more crit because you'll want the AT proc up almost constantly. Through parsing I found in order to keep it up for an average of +90% of a fight you need at least 28% crit. In PVE, I run just over 30% crit chance and AT is up 94-99% of the time pretty consistently.

  13. Those are valid points. I just never felt they were worth binding since half the time the person I want to heal is not in my group. And in a four man you only have to tab once or twice. I do have target self and target of focus target though. I don't have one of those 12-button mouses though

  16. You don't know all what's in patch 3.1, nor if they have other patches planned before 3.1.
  17. Tabing through the frame as fast as you can isn't precise enough for me. I tab too of course, but It's very easy to tab past you intended target. Also you have plenty of time to select your next target during channels/cast times.
  18. Thanks for the update. The removal of the inbetween gear tier pre-seasons a good idea. I'd also again like to put forward additional changes I'd like to see in ranked: First I think it would get people more interested in playing ranked if the awards were released near the beginning of the season. You don't have to give us details or the tier brake down, basically just a sneak preview type with a general idea of what to expect at the end of the season. With a goal to work toward people will be more inclined to queue, but then comes the issue of people getting a decent rating early and just sitting on it until the details are released later in the season. This creates sort of a lull in activity midway through. To encourage continued participation I suggest adding win totals along with the rating requirements of each tier. For example: Tier 3: 10 wins + T3 Rating Tier 2: 50 wins + T2 Rating Tier 1: 100 wins + T1 Rating Top 96 will have to have 150 wins to be eligible for the titles. Basically you would release the number of wins needed for each tier in the beginning of the season along with the awards preview, then near then end of the season give the detailed info on awards and rating requirements. Another cool idea would be to release the details a little at a time throughout the season as teasers, just to get the community buzzing. The number of wins I gave are easily obtained by anyone who attempts to be active in ranked throughout the season, or super active in that last month or so. It be OK if Tier 3 had no win requirement but I think Tier one HAS to have at least a 100 win gate.

  21. Interesting... it's been pretty consistent for me. Are you using the new or old set bonus? Was this WZ an arena? Cuz if you do it before the timer starts, it seems to bug out again.
