  1. I can't believe that two years into this game, they still don't have one. I mean, you can't even spoof one by copy-pasting from the chat window. That couldn't fail more from an RP standpoint, or for reporting abusive behavior, or even for keeping minutes of guild meetings. I mean, this from the company that swore this game would be a godsend for RPers...Two years in and no chat log and no alternative. I need to change my signature again...
  2. As for me, I'm thinking of filing a Restraining Order. I mean, I go to the cinema, feel eyes boring into the back of my neck, turn around...and there's Bioware, huched over, trying in vain to hide behind the seat in front. I go to the park...and there's Bioware, darting from tree to tree. I go to work and the phone rings...and it's Bioware, silent except for the heavy, raspy, excited breaths. I go to the bathroom...well you get the idea. God, I swear, BW, you guys are such pervs. .
  3. That's it! Bioware can't speell. /sub /irony /sarcasm .
  4. Also, I believe the Slave Girl outfit purchasable from the Cantina Social Vendor on Nar Shadaa is female-only. At least, I've never seen any male characters wearing it, and I think I'd remember that... But I agree. They should remove the gender restrictions from clothing, and from conversations as well. Should be no reason I can't flirt with Kaliyo (she *is* a hottie after all), any more than Big Bubba Hotep shouldn't be able to sport the pink bra and panties look if he so desires. .
  5. Yes. If you already have a Legacy on the Destination server, you will get the higher of the two legacies' levels. And anything you've unlocked in either will be available to you. If your Legacy name is already taken on your new server, you will have to choose a new Legacy name. But yes, your Legacy does move with you, thankfully. .
  6. I'm so glad they're getting you guys taken care of as well. I was afraid that the issue wasn't yet over when I read your post about what in-game CS had told you. Thankfully, it was just a matter of crossed lines, and they've got it fixed now. However late it came, it does seem like Bioware's eventual solution was the best of all possible scenarios for everyone involved. I must say that's more than I actually hoped for. Bully. .
  7. I don't have an inside track on this knowledge, but I would guess from prior statements that the goal would be to allow this to happen, but on a paid basis. And though I know they have different teams working on different things, I would also imagine this would not take place until after they are satisfied with the roll-out and stability of patch 1.3. .
  8. My biggest issue with it is that it doesn't seem particularly useful while leveling. I tend to level 2 to 3 levels above the planet I'm on, so the "Planetary Destinations" don't ever seem to match where I am and what I'm doing. It really needs to be opened up to allow us to select FP's/destinations that we want to select, rather than being limited to the selections it thinks are appropriate. .
  9. Update: I moved my main and my three primary alts to The Progenitor last night. Inside of an hour I'd had 3 WZ pops (and what well-played WZ's btw!), received numerous invitations for grouping even while doing the normal PVE leveling grind with one, found a new Guild home for one of my empire characters, and actually sold some stuff on the GTN for a profit. Glory be. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Oh, and to clarify, I use the term "Villain" as a gender-neutral noun, as pixels really don't have the room for male or female genitalia. They are, after all, just one tiny dot. Still, tiny or not, ALL HAIL THE PIXEL IN ALL ITS GLORY! .
  10. By the way, I just couldn't let it go without saking the obvious question: Is it any coincidence that the day Bioware finally offers a solution (to both the crowds stuck on the dying EU RP-PVP servers and those who transferred to the PVP servers and now regret it) is the very same day that our favorite aburnesque arch-villain makes a surprise reappearance? All hail the power of the Orange Pixel! "The Pixel is dead! Long live the Pixel!" .
  11. All I can say is....wow. I could launch into a diatribe about how long this decision took, but at this point that would be petty. So let me instead say, as I promised I would if this happened, thank you. Consider me resubbed, as well as a good many others I suspect. . ^ (the pixel prevails...)
  12. It's a theme. I mean, Bioware's usual response to community outcry is: "We've heard all your *****in' and moanin', and since we're afraid of losing another 400k subs this quarter, we're going to give you want you want, or at least a broken version of it, under protest. Because, after all, we know better than you do, and don't you forget it." So see, he's just mimicking the master... .
  13. A flask hidden in the sock is the answer to many of the world's ills, including this one... .
  14. I'm just wondering when we're going to get an apology from Bioware... Yah, I know, I shouldn't hold my breath. .
  15. Well, they compounded the problem even further by moving people off the (relatively healthily populated) RP-PVP server Lord Calypho to ToFN, many of whom seriously regret the decision to transfer now. We have asked them to open up transfers from ToFN to the Progenitor to allow those folks to leave, thinning out your overpopulation. But in 10 days of discussing it amongst ourselves, we haven't heard a peep from them. What esle is new? .
  16. Well, I don't know if it will do any good, but I've tried to get us some more exposure to this issue by nominating this thread in the Community Spotlight. It would be political suicide for Bioware to actually feature this thread, unless they come on and rectify the situation to the best interests of all those involved (yeah, I know, slim to none), but it's the very first post in the thread (unless it gets removed), so perhaps it'll get us some traffic and support. Check it out here.
  17. I'm right there with you. My sub runs out August 23 (I got 3 free days for some patch mess or another, plus the one month free when 1.2 went live). I cancelled my sub when they announced the free transfers to ToFN. Somehow I knew that would be the last we'd hear from them on this issue, and so far I have unfortunately been right. I'm still holding out hope. And with nearly 2 months left on my sub, I'm continuing to log in and play, building my Legacy on LC. I still enjoy this game, and 1.3 has actually fixed some of the technical problems I've been having (so at least someone at BW knows what they're doing). But I won't pay any more for it until I can play where I want and how I want, and neither of those is going to happen on ToFN, nor on LC if they continue to ignore the problem and let it die the slow, painful death it is now. I'm amazed that they've had all week to at least comment on this issue, and yet have remained completely silent. I shouldn't be surprised, but somehow I keep thinking that they'll come around, or at least communicate with us. Silly me...
  18. Yes, the front page is where this belongs. But it's so hard right now with all the QQ'ing about 1.3. I'd much rather see our QQ'ing about the fate of our servers.
  19. I feel for you, Luchsi. I know we rant and drone on and on about the state of affairs on Lord Calypho, but we're trying to fight the fight for all 3 RP-PVP EU servers, because we're ultimately all in the same boat. And as it sinks, we all suffer. And, to be honest, I'd be pissed at the thought of leaving a server called "Jen'Jidai". I mean, how freakin' cool is that name?! Here's hoping we'll all get a solution we can live with soon.
  20. Just an update form the LC: I logged in again last night to work on the progression of some of my alts there. And, once again, there were maybe 90 people in total logged in, counting both sides. Here's what impressed me: They are still at it. The general chat is not full of QQing as one might expect. People are playing, grouping (though not often, and certainly not by way of the LFG Tool). There were spontaneous RP sessions going on. One Republic Guild, The Last Stand, was actively recruiting members to help preserve what community is left there. I don't say this all to justify leaving these folks there, or to agree with BW's assessment that those who don't want to move to ToFN should stay put. I simply relay it to point out that these are the people you want to keep if this game is going to have any long-term viability. These people, despite the slap in the face, despite having their population bled dry, are still committed, still logging in, still playing, still RPing. And while they couldn't make use of much of what came with 1.3, they were doing their dead-level best to test out and feedback what they could. These folks deserve better. We deserve better. Never-mind that we're paying customers (we've realized long ago how little that seems to mean), consider that we're the kind of customers that you want to keep. But how long can we keep this up before frustration and loneliness gets the better of us, and we all /quit to go find greener pastures and a developer that gives a **** abut us? Time is running out, BW. You've been lucky to keep us as long as you have; don't expect your luck to hold out.
  21. I have Fig Newtons. But IIRC, Fig Newtons are not cookies; they are cake. And we all know that the cake is a lie. Hopefully that won't count against us, and BW will get us to where we need to be once they're done with the 41 Hotfixes necessary to play the game after 1.3...
  22. Look, I'm not Bioware's biggest fan right now (see the link in my sig), but that video was stuff that they clearly said would be coming out over the next year, not in 1.3. If you can't have realistic expectations, you really can't blame them when they don't live up to them. Well, you can, so let me rephrase: It's not their fault if you can't have expectations in line with what they announced, rather than hearing only what you want to hear and discounting the rest...
  23. Ewww... That's gross. And a little spooky, because if it were yellow Kool-Aid, like Lemon- or Pineapple-flavoured, you wouldn't even be able to tell until you took a sip... [shudder]
  24. Good job! I think I have my foreign rage down to an artform. Oh, wait...you said "forum rage". Yeah, I think I can do that pretty well too. But you're right, as is the next post that says that the bulk of the improvements in Update 1.3 are focused around a community. With less than 100 people on the whole server at peak times, there isn't much of a community to be had when you account for different factions and different levels... I'm trying to be understanding, as I know the devs are probably all focused on 1.3 hitting Live today, and the inevitable problems that are going to arise from this patch. But we were here and in this mess before 1.3, so I'm a little ticked that we weren't offered an equitable solution before they had to focus down on 1.3 exclusively. C'mon, Bioware. Do the right thing.™ I know it's hard, but you can do it if you really try (and give the EA mo's the slip for 10 minutes). I have faith in you. (Well, I don't really. But I will have faith in you, at least some, if you'll make this right, and soon.)
