  1. A 1-button macro would not work well in SWTOR since bosses require movement and cc. In other words, players must when to stop their rotation and change plans to survive. Therefore for the same reasons, Damage meters would favor ranged dps while putting melee and utility/cc at a disadvantage. "X" per second meters only shine when players wail on a tree stump that doesn't react or only auto attacks; otherwise they have error that majority of the playerbase doesn't bother to realize. For these first months, I'd prefer it if we didn't incite public stupidity. When people say macros, they mean simplifying an unnecessary skill bar. One example would be putting Maul & thrash on the same button so you can have that extra skill slot for deflection or cybertech grenades.
  2. The reason why WoW was so great was because Blizzard allowed the modding community to make UI adjustments. The company itself provided a simple macro tool. This made skillsets usable and managable, while the modding community removed flaws or drawbacks in the hud. One example is the rogue, WoW's rogue is a very fast paced class; a fight that lasts 30 sec is a very long fight. Blizz originally put the health, energy, buff rotations at the very far left corner of the screen. Drathal's Hud (dhud mod) moved that to the center of the screen and converted the square shape to circular arcs (like a spaceship hud). Players no longer had to look away from the fight to see if poisons had applied or to check on health. Mods that corrected bad decisions helped propel wow to the number one spot. Trust me UI mods and simple macro system are small changes that make a big difference. Personally, I'd kill for a Maul/ Saber Attack; Buff rotation; macro. edit: I wouldn't bring in static damage meter mods for this game, since it'd alienate some classes.
  3. I'd say leave the exp as is. This game is about content and skills rather than stratification.
  4. 1. SWToR 2. KoTOR 1 3. SW: JO Jedi Academy 4. KoTOR 2 (edit: accidentally typed #3 twice.) 5. Republic Commando
  5. I hope it's a bug and they bring mask + hood, but in case they don't, I have a darth maul sin. Hoods still look sexy on my char. edit: why does the SI have no pants. All we wear are skirts.
  6. ditto. My first thought was "at least he doesn't nag. He repainted my bedroom? Oh, that's nice." Trust Me. 2V-R8 is nothing compared to my mother. She'll make you want to live alone for the remainder of your life. edit: petition BioWare for a way to deactivate him?
  7. When we raided in WoW, we followed the 1% rule for major bosses and 5 sec for smaller ones. (1% rule is where the main tank and main healer aggro the boss and maintain a stable rotation/rhythm; no dps until 1% of the boss's hp is gone).
  8. How do you get a crafting skill for your main Hero?
  9. To make money in MMOs you have to have business sense. i if what grievers say is true and you nerf slicing, the market deflates. then prices dont drop but total currency supply depreciates. People always have an item they're willing to pay for rather than craft/gather. Find out what that item is.
