  1. I think I've only lost one match so far, but as of late, I've pretty much given up on it, thanks to the rotten ping times. It also doesn't help that most of these matches are pretty uneventful, only to get suddenly scrapped at the end by someone you didn't even see. It is not fun to get your ship cut down to almost dead in five seconds, do everything you can to get out of their crossfire, and just ten seconds later, when you're sure that you're safe, get blasted again.

    Undying Changes

I've played MMOs where DPS had a skill like Undying that lasted for up to a full minute, in fact it may have been longer. What was the difference? The difference was, PVP was nonexistant, so nobody cared about players being unkillable, and actual tank classes had the same skill.
  3. Somewhat related topic, I'd like it if you could get Legacy space stations. Not on the same scale as the republic/imperial fleet, but large enough that it could realistically accommodate several characters and all their junk.
  4. I think (but am not certain) that they come from a mission terminal.
  5. I feel rather sickened by how casually people throw around an idea for genocide. Instead of trying something like "Let's make a Gungan companion that people could actually like". Hey, would anyone have thought twice about a Jawa before Blizz came along?
  6. I hadn't realized that crafting had suddenly become viable. Last I checked, there's rarely enough missions to make sending them out anyway.
  7. As if we don't have enough trouble already, now you want to give people a way to actively shut down mission progress, beyond killing enemies that you need to progress?
  8. Of course powertechs can have trouble holding AoE threat. It's called "Overenthusiastic knockback", and when the DPS get it, it makes holding aggro incredibly frustrating.
  9. But he has comments on Makeb! That's a pretty good indicator he needs to come out at least some times. And he's a melee healer, so you can gather all melee enemies into a nice neat pile for AoE decimation. Whenever someone says "(any companion) should never be used", I can immediately think of at least one way to prove them wrong.
  10. And there wasn't a significant number of people ready to complain and sunsub if their favourite ship was removed, like there would be if they started removing classes.
  11. So, how about a sentinel needing on guardian gear, or a guardian needing on sentinel gear, if they need the mods, but not the armour itself?
  12. *cracks knuckles* Don't know how many of these are taken already. Might as well get them all out now. Tatooine: Hoth: Makeb: Wow. I had a lot of submissions to catch up on. And I'm still not done yet. And looking at the comments that I got from 2V-R8, either they've changed his lines, or I was wrong, and there are times where different classes get different comments from him. Or he has more than one line for certain areas.
  13. Yes, because the last thing this game needs more crowd control ... Honestly, I was more hoping that this thread was talking about Tumult.
  14. I have a mercenary and a commando, so I can make the translations pretty well. Fact is, though, that the healing required is a severe cut upwards from what I'm used to. Normally, you've got a tank being hit by severe damage, unless he's doing poorly, in which case a DPS will pull aggro, and I have to switch healing quickly. Occasionally, an ally might stand in a death zone, and I have to get them up and running again, but can spare that time. The security chief, however, from the beginning, has an offhand attack that he uses as a regular rotation, that ignores threat, and will NEVER hit the actual tank with, that hits pretty damn hard. I have to be very quick with my targeting during this fight. I need to keep my eyes on everyone's health bar, my own rotation, and in the last phase, keep an eye open for those red rings of doom. It's doable, but it requires a lot more competence from DPS than normal, and a lot of attention swapping from me. And then there was the guy who thought that story mode was identical to hard mode, and let half the mobs out of their cages in the final fight. I have no idea how I healed through all that. It seems like gearing boils down to "Grind dailies and get a ton of basic comms and purchase 69 gear, then grind 55 HM and get a ton of elite comms and purchase 72 gear. Looks like I've got a lot of work to do.
  15. You think that Twilight, of all things, is better than those two class stories? If it's just because you're feeling hostile towards the classes because people think they're popular, I'd understand, but any major flaw with those stories is paramount across the full game, not just those two.
  16. Oh, but they have. It's called "Go get the complementary medcenter for use, because we don't actually have someone that can heal".
  17. Just how difficult do you want them to be? Because keep in mind, people still need to run those for the czerka weekly, and they're supposed to be possible for any composition (4 dps, 4 healers, 4 tanks, 2 dps & 2 tanks, etc...) Sure, they aren't challenging. But they're supposed to give you a way to get through the weekly without having to wait an entire day because your spec isn't in demand. I have no interest in turning the difficulty up on that.
  18. Use your defensive cooldowns. Cloak of Pain is a brilliant cooldown if you ensure that you'll take damage throughout the whole thing.
  19. No, that's not a trial, that's a guaranteed wipe. What makes it a trial is that the boss will ignore agro to throw grenades that deal a pretty savage amount of damage at people who aren't the tank, while savagely beating down on the tank. I don't know how well scoundrels or sages work in this fight, but it was brutal for my mercenary to get no chance to let her heat die down. I had to just keep switching back and forth, throwing down chain heals and dancing around in max heat regen levels. It's almost a relief when he starts spamming missiles, because the missiles delay his grenades.
  20. Well, if you play Marauder, my recommendation is that you always go for the annihilation tree first, even if you want a different tree, as it's the only one that right off the bat is a functional tree. Don't switch to Rage tree until you can get the auto-crit on smash and the rage refund from Annihilation simultaneously, or don't switch to Carnage until you get massacre and the rage refund simultaneously. You will feel fragile if you don't use your defensive cooldowns often. Upside is that you get some pretty low recharge cooldowns.
  21. I... did not think of that. My main characters are on Beregen Colony, although I occasionally play on the Harbinger. Time zone is Australian (Think it's UTC+10? Not sure how the system works, just know that normally I'm on when the majority of the server isn't.)
  22. I probably misread the number then, I just remembered her having something better than average equipped. HM Flashpoints don't pop nearly as often as I'd like. If I have GF set for everything, I'll get a 50 HM or a 55 SM flashpoint in short order, but with those out of the queue, I can run all my dailies without a single queue popping. And 55 HM must have much stricter people on my server than yours, as I've seen groups disband before the first fight even, simply for one person being slightly under geared. Not that I can blame them, it is an incredible trial to try and heal through the security chief in the first Czerka flashpoint. Basically, while it's easier to get elite commendations and their related gear, since they drop from HM flashpoints, it doesn't help if those flashpoints never actually form. And it takes a lot of elite commendations to get there. Edit: And looking at your notes, looks like her better gear is a 78 piece, not 75. Don't have the game up, so couldn't check, but I do recall buying something with ultimate comms.
  23. They mentioned making the set bonuses change depending on what stance you're in, but thought it would be too much of a tooltip wall of text to try. Well, why not make it so that it displays the set bonus for just the current cell you have equipped, and indicate at the beginning that "This set bonus changes based on current cell/stance"? Having custom built set bonuses would be a pretty handy change, wouldn't it?
  24. Well, I have found some good guilds on occasion, but the problem is, none of them have ever been in my time zone. So when I log on, it tends to be just me on my own. Tried asking what times they hold ops and such, but it gets difficult to figure out when that is to my clock on the fly. If there were exact times each week, I could adjust, but asit is... it's tough. It keeps coming back to those dailies, doesn't it? I used to run Oricron on borderline obsession daily for each character, but then I realized that I was capping two weeks reputation in one day, and that kind of got depressing. Doesn't help that unless you have an extensive legacy backing you up, Oricron can be impossible to complete for some classes (Gave up on ever getting my Operative through when she got blockaded by the easier champion). But that's an entirely different discussion. Still, good list. I should save it. Did they upgrade the gear at the basic vendor? Must have forgotten. I do have the credits and the legacy to fund a full set of legacy armour, so I guess I could go for that. I might just have to set up a full excel spreadsheet of how all my characters are geared, so I can see where to improve them and have an easy reference for whenever someone is advertising on the fleet. Until they let you queue a full legacy at will, it'll be the only way for me to save the hassle of logging out and in again to see if I have someone that can join.
