  1. I can't select it in shift+E, if that's what you meant
  2. The HK-55 bonus quest, I have the mail, I'm on the ship, done all the missions, nothing. It's just giving me Chapter I over and over again How do I start that shroud of memory quest?
  3. I liked SWTOR when you could spend a reasonable amount of time to gear up. Those crates aren't the real grind, the real grind is pvp tokens to upgrade gear. However those can only be attained at lvl70. <70 pvp is rather fun, 70s isn't because you hit the t2+ geared people when you're only half in t1 with at most 1 t3 piece. This bonus exp is rather detrimental as you can't enjoy <70 pvp but are brought to the slaughter sooner. What's there to do at 70? Do 9 raid zones. 9 All the while being told how terrible you are because your dps is low, since you don't have gear. But you run those raids, if you even manage to find a raid group, to get gear. It's completely demotivating. Also it seem like all the "major" MMO executives have teamed up and are now filling their "content" or rather lack thereof with grind. No wonder why mobas are popular. The thing about the crate grind is you grind up to t2 then start an even longer grind. Idk. I have about 3 weeks left of subscription time and won't extend it. "It's a nice place to visit but I wouldn't want to live there" Again, pvp pre those arkan quests was rather fun. Then you became too powerful and at the same time I lost interest in the game. I returned after about 3 years. What I saw was the players being trained to "get crates". Doesn't work like this, for me anyhow. I don't feel guilt, the game isn't important enough to feel anything. In 5 weeks I have 1 character with 4 pieces of set gear. That's too slow.
  4. Same in EQ2. Horrible grind. There's something called Tithe and reaching level100 (maximum level) of that would take a good 10 years in 1 branch out of 3. Then they force you to log in daily to claim your "exp enabling ticket". I actually left EQ2 because of this to move here, to see... the same sith in a different color. If it at least was consistent, but it isn't. Up to rank 90 you get 230 gear. And schematics, crafting those schematics is a waste because you can neither remove the components or exchange it for unassembled gear. Your enemies however, for the most part, will wear augmented gear. So it doesn't matter if you have 228 or 230 blue or 230 purple. You need to grind and grind more. At least the grind is not as boring as in EQ2. But it is quite repetitive. You can only do the same old zones and quests before they become tiresome. Or get beaten up only that much before you say, "I had enough".
  5. same but republic 1 sage 6 commandos 1 vanguard have fun losing 5 of us vs 1 geared commando commando kills 1 and survives sorcs class, which I play, is completely useless. lightning burst does 1/4 of target's HP, if that much at all. madness is even worse. other classes like guardian, sentinel or shadow 3-4 strikes and I'm down survivability and dps of merc/commando is ridiculous sorcs and powertechs are way too weak then attaining gear through warzones is a tedious grind, while stuff just drops in ops however since everyone knows that sorcs are terribad I'm not getting any raid spots.
  6. If gear that is no longer attainable is BiS gear I see no reason why I should continue the grind.
  7. There are no grade 10 materials on the artifact vendor yet we receive Jawa Scrap through Command Crates
  8. Für ein gaming Notebook blättest du mind. 1300€ hin.
  9. jawas and those elephant people orthilians or w/e they're spelled
  10. In EQ2 it was optional, you could read or listen to the story depending on which tier it was. Some of those quests and complete storylines were really awesome, but most importantly they were optional (until WoWcloneexpansion RoK was released) anyhow... In SWTOR the story is there IN YOUR FACE, always, and everyone has some problem that ONLY YOU can solve. And that involves going to point A killing X mobs or clicking Y items and sometimes even a bonus quest that's kill x of those , click y of those defeat elite mob. In EQ2 I want to do them all, all the quests to hear all the stories, in SWTOR I'm like "Oh no not another one of those annoying beggars who can't pull their own weight and babbles until I accept or space 1 space 1 space 1 space 1" Then you're trying to play with friends over with whatever voip client and server connecting you. You start getting warm, interrupted by lame boring story, okay, try building up the fun again, next generic boring story. We ended up soloing to 50 and they quit playing.
  11. Because "This isn't soo much fun" "It's not excellent and you should stop wondering about what you could do to please me" "You're just a pretty face .. Buster" "You still do have all of your parts and that wasn't brutal" "Vas Jah Uus" or w/e freak I get it you're a doctor, not a fighter and this isn't star trek mccoy So yeah, an option to be able to mute companion voice overs would be great
  12. SWG around pub9 and why, because it was the almost perfect game, great crafting, good pve, exploration, terrain negotiation, dynamic resources, automation, taming, housing, city building, dna sampling, dancing, ranged, melee combat, searching for a way to become jedi, it was all so detailed and deep. player made weapons and armor and the quality depending on the crafter's skill and resource quality, real supply and demand, unique items it was all there then some focus group decided it was too complicated for ted couch potato the brain dead star wars fan who had a hard time telling left from right without using tricks please excuse my sarcasm
  13. Spamming for hard mode groups, what what what? not fun enough for you? you're such a hater /sarcasm
  14. </3 swg was so much better than this
  15. Err what? Do you actually believe that 1 server is 1 independant database that's not clustered?
  16. I agree , it's an artificial timesink
  17. re 1) Humor seems to be missing from the game , I don't remember me laughing in this game very often. The Dialogue in this game is always so dead serious and dry.
  18. So.... let's declare a social server, where people could start leveling new chars up the unofficial "I like to group even for solo quests" server
  19. ok, what's different? there is NOTHING new in this game, not one single thing were you living under a rock the last 10 years?
  20. I agree and I wish it was different. Only because people can solo content doesn't mean they have to. I'd love to group up from 1-50 all the time. And it worked up to about level 30, Alderaan on Imp side. And even with the bigger exp bonus when more people are in the group and the social points gained, most people still decide to solo to 50. Yet it's more fun, more efficient and quicker to do the solo quests in a group. It's all true and valid but, this thread is about level 50 mixed faction grouping in flashpoints and maybe also Ops.
  21. Ok how often do I have to repeat myself until people get what I'm writing? Your pov is fine on RP servers since your way of thinking is in character. You follow the books, movies, cartoons whatever and it's fine, great, awesome. Are you playing on a RP server? If not why not? Why did you roll on PvE when PvE has nothing to do with lore but leveling up and fighting against computer opponents with other players? On PvE, the computer game tells me I should hate the people who play other faction toons, yes I use the term toons not characters, I don't hate the people who play the toons of the other faction instead I'd like to group up with them. PvE isn't RP. I chose to disregard the lore and enjoy fighting against the artificial, scripted intelligence with a bigger pool of players and a larger variety of stories to choose from. Enjoying the story doesn't mean I have to act the way the story tells me. If you like to pretend you're a sith or jedi or trooper or bounty hunter or smuggler or imperial agent that's RP. If you like to play with players of your faction only that's your choice and it's fine. I'd like to group with other faction players and also do their flashpoints. I'd like the benefit of a bigger pool of people to group with and have a larger variety of flashpoints I can run. I can't because the game doesn't allow me to. But the Pros overweight the Cons on PvE, not RP or RP-PVP or PVP. Is this true or not, and why?
  22. But when you're on PvE and not roleplaying or playing against other faction players, are they really your enemies? Maybe most PvE servers should be labeled RP servers. Know what I mean? I see your point but is it valid on PvE servers? Are the other faction's players really your enemies if you ignore the conflict based lore or would it give you a greater choice of flashpoints to do and a greater variety of people to play with?
